@@anupamasundar7091 agree if bad roads are your daily commute, like in small villages and town. But for most of the city and highway rides where stiff suspensions and high GC is not useful... sedans are more comfortable.

Ground clearence is never an issue in sedans.... What really matters is the approach angle due to the long set front bumbers.. That could be easily get used to....

Ground clearance is actually a combination of both space between the bottom of the car and a total length of the car (read distance between the two wheels). Compact SUVs although have a similar Space, their overy length is smaller than sedans.
To consider this perspective, let's compare the ground clearance of 2 whe wheelars like activa. Their wheel base is small. To have the same ground clearance in the car, we will have to fit in tyres of very large diameters.

Highlighting the ground clearance issue on a sedan and boasting the same in a compact SUV by increasing it a millimetres is just a marketing gimmick that car manufacturers are following now, especially in India due to our bad roads. Sedans have survived bad roads in India for several years. Now all of a sudden people are so concerned about ground clearance.

    • @anupamasundar7091

Its not about ground clearance alone. .alone..its about suspension, utility, space etc..I have driven a honda city and Seltos on a same bumpy road with pot holes..and SUV did way better than a sedan

      @joelnishanth3114 Год назад +1

@@anupamasundar7091 I totally agree that SUVs do much better in bumpy roads than sedans. But the comfort that sedans give on long drives cannot be obtained in SUV. My point was that, sedans have been in the market from back when roads were even worse than the current roads. In 90's almost everyone had sedans only. Besides, cars like seltos, venue and creta are all crossovers. They're not SUVs. That itself is a marketing gimmick. Building a taller body on a sedan platform (example: Elevate) won't make it a SUV. Proper SUVs are cars like Fortuner, Range Rover, etc..

Nice topic. And u tried to bring out a valid point. However 1 inch does make a lot of difference. It is just that the ground clearance of a sedan is sufficient for most driving conditions except few extreme off roading conditions. Therefore the extra ground clearance is redundant in usual day-to-day driving.

Honda city 5th generation is ok for big size of sharp bumps that generally in village side area,
I really like this car but confused with it's ground clearance it's good for extremely rough road or sharp hight bumps (that bumps are not have any slope And size is big like obstacles not as feel bumps)
I am also so confused because of Honda City's english splash guard is to much lower side as I see, and that's why I not make decisions confidentiality to buy it,
My thinking is splash guard is easily toch ground surface or at tall bumps surface
Please suggest your opinion or share me link if you have any video regarding that matter
I suggest that lot's of people may have same confusion so please make one special video on this topic,
It will be go popular and very helpful
    With regard Pragnesh

go for silver or metallic steel. Best look for this car. Also you can consider golden brown, but that looks better on the JAZZ, But again depends on your color choices :)

WHAT A JOKE!! Was that one what you call a rough road ground clearance test ?😂 if yes, then you are a novice bro, you haven’t seen Indian roads…. Take your car On tours… that will definitely gonna help you understand the roads. And only 10 mm gap makes a considerable difference, and you are justifying the 20-30 mm gap like nothing. 😁
You are just a lover of SEDAN. That’s it.

Yes i felt same he is going on relatively flat road and saying gc is of no issue . I drove brezza and Honda City I felt brezza to be not touching the speed breakers as much as city or even a swift was touching. It gives that peace of mind though i like sedans .this is making me not come to a decision whether to buy a city or brezza

    Hello Sir,
Is it good to modify the tyre profile of Honda City from 185/55 to 195/55 or 205/55 for better grip and handling?
If yes, will that new modification affect the mileage & performance of the car?
    Any suggestions pls?

190 mm is typically the ground clearance of a crossover and it is mainly the wheelbase and not the GC that scraps the under belly of car. That said, I own a Honda City 5th Gen CVT - It a great fun to drive car and does not have much issues with respect to GC except for very bad roads
