Nah i love how you said you liked taeil's vocal tone. The guy in the middle you kept talking about, his name is Taeil. People always only see him as the one who sings highnote and does crazy riff and runs. I've even seen people saying they don't like how he is always ready to belt. You can appreciate someone for their skill or their tone or both. Like you said, a lot of people tend to get caught up in the technical skill and power behind a voice and forget the nature of hiw that voice sounds. I love hearing unique qualities in a voice that makes someone stick out, especially when they can throw in power, finesse, emotion, etc. And you can tell he either takes his craft VERY serious or he's just really introverted cause he was not there to play lol. I noticed at least a few times where others were kinds goofy he was locked in ready to give us a performance... eyes forward, arms back, etc.

Wow thank you for the thoughtful and articulated response. That's a lot of useful info! Oh! So NCT is where that Lucas guy is from. I kept hearing about him and seeing the social media hate. Do nct fans in general still claim him or are they kinda glad he's gone? I did listen to his solo and wasn't impressed personally but that's from the musical pov rather than someone who has any idea of what happened with him. Dang that graduation concept is kinda cool but unless they stuck with the infinity concept I can see why they'd have to abandon it (or disband that subunit). Still cool though...kinda wish some other groups would do stuff like that actually.
Haechan (pink hair) because of his nasel sound, definitely one of the most recognizable voices in kpop. He and Mark (rapper 2nd from right) are also in NCT Dream.
I'm not always a fan of the nasal sound but 1. he's very good and 2. it adds so much color to the group. It's similar to me (not the nasal quality but the distinctiveness) of say Jihyo from Twice how you can always tell it's her singing or even Nayeon....or Mingi from Ateez. Rose from Blackpink, etc. Yuqi from GIDLE...this list goes on and on obviously but the point is that there are certain artists you can nearly always distinguish from the rest of their group. In fact, I didn't realize it until I typed this out but those USUALLY end up being my bias in their respective groups.

Ay-Yo was the song that got me into NCT 127 and made me fall in love with them. I was skeptical at first too. Initially my thoughts were "they only shout and produce noise music" "Too many god damn members. Aint nobody got time for that" BUT HOLY DAMN SHT. They are far too talented to just ignore. They got it all, honestly. Their b-sides are divine!!! Their title tracks are all so creative & experimental that's maybe why it doesn't cater to most but they have their own sound. NEO sound which is totally their branding but dayum they manage to pull it off.
NCT as whole is my ult tho. NCT Dream is their most popular group now because they're still young and have the biggest fandom among all the subunits. Mark & Haechan are both members too & they are the most hardworking kpop idols to ever exist with juggling 2 of the biggest kpop acts ever. I think SM thought this when creating NCT "These trainees are far too talented to not debut and would be such a waste to let go and I'm too greedy for other companies to get their hands on them so let's just debut them all in one group" HAHAHAHAHA joke but maybe true
Hahaha we had pretty much the same thoughts. It's the same type of thought I had about Seventeen (the too many members part anyway). Yea these guys are damn talented and honestly, had I not heard this performance, I likely would have never known it. Their title tracks usually don't do it for me but the b-sides are fire! Nct127 is my fav unit. And i think this killing voice is my 2nd fav after EXO 😌 i listen to their bsides & ballads more than the title tracks tbh. Their voices are heaven. It was a really nice performance. It gave me a chance to see them in a way I normally wouldn't since I don't listen to them much. Also I did love the EXO killing voice too! Of all the killing voices I've reacted to, I think EXO, BTOB, Twice, Ateez, Infinite, and Gidle are my favs. I've enjoyed em all but those are probably my top ones. I got into nct because i love weird songs i guess lol sticker was one of the songs I've listened from them and I loved it from first listen even tho i knew that song is quite controversial to non-nctzens. First listen to Baggy Jeans, the chorus didn't do it for me but every other parts of the song i liked. Eventually the chorus grew on me bcos of the live performances/choreo. Very understandable that not every nct song is for everyone. I'd say that NCT 127 is the most experimental out of all the units while NCT Dream is kind of gp friendly so I highly recommend checking out their Killing Voice as well, maybe their music is more of your preference! Also for the members, the infinite expansion already stopped so the max is 26 members that they have currently. It looks really confusing at first with the line ups of the sub-units but it's honestly not super confusing I swear lol

Lmao when you said they had one of the worst kpop songs i was kinda expecting sticker😭😭😂 cause usually people hate it when they first listen to it(not me tho, i liked sticker at first listen). The Neo in NCT stands for 'new' meaning the bring neo sound(experimental sound, neo concept to kpop
It's funny cause you're the first person who has actually mentioned when I said that about baggy jeans haha. I was starting to wonder "did I actually say it?" 🤔 I didn't care much for sticker either but it wasn't as bad as baggy jeans for me. It takes A LOT of dislike for me to genuinely call someone one if the worst ever lol. Another song that was on that list for me was "Zimzalabim" from red Velvet but I saw then do live vocals for it so it had a redeeming factor with live. Also the thing about nct is THEY DON'T DISAPPOINT. I would love it if you were to react to some of their albums: nct 127 "Limitless: the 2nd mini album" this is by far the best album I've heard from them. All NCT and WayV are all members of NCT U. WayV took that name because of some reason having that name in China. NCT U songs are so different and varied, that the producers just pick and choose who they want for each project. Some NCT U songs only have 2 members and some all of them. Very varied like I said. Mark and Haechan cross over from 127 and Dream. WinWin from WayV used to be in NCT 127, but not anymore.
I feel like I could never learn all the moving parts of this group lol. It's pretty cool that they can slot people in and out to suit different concepts though!

Haha it just isn't pleasing at all to hear. The structure isn't good imo, the chorus is over the top annoying, and the message feels superficial. Sure there's some depth/complexity there but I can't tolerate it long enough to look for it personally. Lol the worst spot used to belong to Zimzalabim from Red Velvet which suffers from an arguably worse sound but that song had the redeeming factor of being fun when hear live. Sadly, I can't even give that to Baggy Jeans. I'm also watching I-Land 2 and one of the test songs was Baggy Jeans so I thought "hmm was it the song or the group I wasn't liking"... after hearing the girls do this song as well I can safely say........ it is DEFINITELY the song lol. NCT, yall are cool but even as cool as yall are it can't make Baggy jeans work for me 😂

NCT especially NCT 127 has a lot of songs that ppl hate that’s why a lot of antis started callin their music “noise music” but the boys took that and leaned into it. I love how them and the producers aren’t scared to experiment with their sound and don’t care to stay in the “formula” of k pop songs or songs in general. But I understand it’s not going to be for everyone. They have a couple of songs that I don’t really care for.
@thechigirl2498 yea I don't like when groups get hate just for one song or even a couple of songs. Like... when you've been around for a long time and you have a massive discography, there's gonna be some misses (for me Twice is an exception but I see the hate for them all the time so I know they've got some misses to other ppl). You literally can't please everyone 100% of the time so what I enjoy is when a group stays true to themselves and does their best. Even if a group overall isn't for me, I like that (and honestly, even groups I may not be a fan of, I can almost always find at least a few songs that I still like from them). I know that's kind of rambling so I apologize, I just woke up lol but I hope it made sense. Basically, I appreciate a group even if I dislike a song or two from them and will give them fair chances like I did here.

Dang that graduation concept is kinda cool but unless they stuck with the infinity concept I can see why they'd have to abandon it (or disband that subunit). Still cool though...kinda wish some other groups would do stuff like that actually.
Haechan (pink hair) because of his nasel sound, definitely one of the most recognizable voices in kpop. He and Mark (rapper 2nd from right) are also in NCT Dream.
I'm not always a fan of the nasal sound but 1. he's very good and 2. it adds so much color to the group. It's similar to me (not the nasal quality but the distinctiveness) of say Jihyo from Twice how you can always tell it's her singing or even Nayeon....or Mingi from Ateez. Rose from Blackpink, etc. Yuqi from GIDLE...this list goes on and on obviously but the point is that there are certain artists you can nearly always distinguish from the rest of their group. In fact, I didn't realize it until I typed this out but those USUALLY end up being my bias in their respective groups.

Ay-Yo was the song that got me into NCT 127 and made me fall in love with them. I was skeptical at first too. Initially my thoughts were "they only shout and produce noise music" "Too many god damn members. Aint nobody got time for that" BUT HOLY DAMN SHT. They are far too talented to just ignore. They got it all, honestly. Their b-sides are divine!!! Their title tracks are all so creative & experimental that's maybe why it doesn't cater to most but they have their own sound. NEO sound which is totally their branding but dayum they manage to pull it off.
NCT as whole is my ult tho. NCT Dream is their most popular group now because they're still young and have the biggest fandom among all the subunits. Mark & Haechan are both members too & they are the most hardworking kpop idols to ever exist with juggling 2 of the biggest kpop acts ever. I think SM thought this when creating NCT "These trainees are far too talented to not debut and would be such a waste to let go and I'm too greedy for other companies to get their hands on them so let's just debut them all in one group" HAHAHAHAHA joke but maybe true
Hahaha we had pretty much the same thoughts. It's the same type of thought I had about Seventeen (the too many members part anyway). Yea these guys are damn talented and honestly, had I not heard this performance, I likely would have never known it. Their title tracks usually don't do it for me but the b-sides are fire! (There are a couple of titles i like, of course Kick It being one of em)

I know they were inspired to a certain extent by jpop group AKB48 in the sense that the label wanted to make a group with members that could be rotated to fit different concepts. But if it were the greedy explanation...could ya blame em? I know I couldn't haha. No such thing as having too much talent under one label (as long as you're gonna promote them that is)

Nct127 is my fav unit. And i think this killing voice is my 2nd fav after EXO 😌 i listen to their bsides & ballads more than the title tracks tbh. Their voices are heaven. You can't be able to choose fav voice from nct ( cus there's too many lol )

It was a really nice performance. It gave me a chance to see them in a way I normally wouldn't since I don't listen to them much. Also I did love the EXO killing voice too! Of all the killing voices I've reacted to, I think EXO, BTOB, Twice, Ateez, Infinite, and Gidle are my favs. I've enjoyed em all but those are probably my top ones. I got into nct because i love weird songs i guess lol sticker was one of the songs I've listened from them and I loved it from first listen even tho i knew that song is quite controversial to non-nctzens. First listen to Baggy Jeans, the chorus didn't do it for me but every other parts of the song i liked. Eventually the chorus grew on me bcos of the live performances/choreo. Very understandable that not every nct song is for everyone. I'd say that NCT 127 is the most experimental out of all the units while NCT Dream is kind of gp friendly so I highly recommend checking out their Killing Voice as well, maybe their music is more of your preference!
Also for the members, the infinite expansion already stopped so the max is 26 members that they have currently. It looks really confusing at first with the line ups of the sub-units but it's honestly not super confusing I swear lol

Lmao when you said they had one of the worst kpop songs i was kinda expecting sticker😭😭😂 cause usually people hate it when they first listen to it(not me tho, i liked sticker at first listen). Although i do kinda get why you didn't like baggy jeans. It's funny cause you're the first person who has actually mentioned when I said that about baggy jeans haha. I was starting to wonder "did I actually say it?" 🤔 I didn't care much for sticker either but it wasn't as bad as baggy jeans for me. It takes A LOT of dislike for me to genuinely call someone one if the worst ever lol. Another song that was on that list for me was "Zimzalabim" from red Velvet but I saw then do live vocals for it so it had a redeeming factor with live. I can't even say that bout this one 😭

All NCT and WayV are all members of NCT U. WayV took that name because of some reason having that name in China. NCT U songs are so different and varied, that the producers just pick and choose who they want for each project. Some NCT U songs only have 2 members and some all of them. Very varied like I said. Mark and Haechan cross over from 127 and Dream. WinWin from WayV used to be in NCT 127, but not anymore.
I feel like I could never learn all the moving parts of this group lol. It's pretty cool that they can slot people in and out to suit different concepts though!

I love aespa and I'm sad I couldn't see them live. They came to LA last yr and I was going to buy tickets but I realized I already had tickets for the same night for a symphonic performance of music from the final fantasy game series (Distant World: Music From Final Fantasy). I know I’m a month late but I just found your video lol…but I’m curious as to why you dislike Baggy Jeans so much and deemed it the worst K Pop song. Like what about it exactly didn’t you like? Genuinely curious I promise
Haha it just isn't pleasing at all to hear. The structure isn't good imo, the chorus is over the top annoying, and the message feels superficial. Sure there's some depth/complexity there but I can't tolerate it long enough to look for it personally. Lol the worst spot used to belong to Zimzalabim from Red Velvet which suffers from an arguably worse sound but that song had the redeeming factor of being fun when hear live. Sadly, I can't even give that to Baggy Jeans. I'm also watching I-Land 2 and one of the test songs was Baggy Jeans so I thought "hmm was it the song or the group I wasn't liking"... after hearing the girls do this song as well I can safely say........ it is DEFINITELY the song lol. NCT, yall are cool but even as cool as yall are it can't make Baggy jeans work for me 😂
@@JeffReacts12 hmm I respect that lol. I personally love the song and think it’s great. NCT especially NCT 127 has a lot of songs that ppl hate that’s why a lot of antis started callin their music “noise music” but the boys took that and leaned into it. I love how them and the producers aren’t scared to experiment with their sound and don’t care to stay in the “formula” of k pop songs or songs in general. But I understand it’s not going to be for everyone. They have a couple of songs that I don’t really care for.
@thechigirl2498 yea I don't like when groups get hate just for one song or even a couple of songs. Like... when you've been around for a long time and you have a massive discography, there's gonna be some misses (for me Twice is an exception but I see the hate for them all the time so I know they've got some misses to other ppl). You literally can't please everyone 100% of the time so what I enjoy is when a group stays true to themselves and does their best. Even if a group overall isn't for me, I like that (and honestly, even groups I may not be a fan of, I can almost always find at least a few songs that I still like from them).
I know that's kind of rambling so I apologize, I just woke up lol but I hope it made sense. Basically, I appreciate a group even if I dislike a song or two from them and will give them fair chances like I did here.
