@ianhoward4246 😂😂😂 thanks ian 👍
As always Justin.. professional, quality work. Great to see you having the kit there too, most would hire the digger and use barrows but the cost of the dumper keeps you productive in my opinion and fresh to get more done. Really flying through the projects now 💪👌
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd spot on fully agree 4 borrows in one track barrow so yep fully agree Nathan 👍

Thanks for this Justin and Frazer - could have done with tutorials like this when I was a lot (a lot!), younger, would've made sense to me then! Sorry to hear about your other lad, but, it's not for everyone is it? Let's hope he finds something he'll be happy doing - and paying a decent wedge too. Thanks again for sharing fellas, keep safe!

Don't think people realise how much hard work and meticulous setting out goes into it Danny .Hope your well mate 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping yep mate hard work what you guys do hats off to you all 👍I love to do something different but all I ever know is wood 🪵
I’ve been using one of those mini jcb diggers and I don’t like the way they have the levers in a different position and it seems like both tracks go in unevenly if you get what I’m saying. But the main complaint is the lack of power. I couldn’t believe how gutless it was just digging out some soil and stripping off some turf. It even struggled with the turf lol😂
@neillmanning9969
Personally I thick they save so much hard work digging by hand .for me the jcb machines are great over the years I've dug out so much with them.
They fit through side gates they are small that's limits digging pawer but used correctly with the right bucket they are a big help to us Personally 💯👍
Fantastic video as always Justin.
My long winded patio/retaining wall project is still ongoing. But it’s just me, doing it all for the first time, and all the heavy lifting and digging has been done with just my two hands and a wheelbarrow haha.
What mix did you use for the footings buddy?
@MarcusT86
Was from mixit concrete great company highly recommend them marcus 👌
Nice how too video Justin 👍🏴 shame about son no2

Great video can I ask can I just lay a patio on clay with 60mm of cement with fibres as a base for my porcelain tiles just to walk on pls
@KoidreamsAmanda
Thanks.
Personally I wouldn't advice that
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping okay thank you ☺️
Hiya mate, complete novice here... how would you go about getting the digger etc into the garden if the only way into the garden is by going up a few steps?
@kaj661
If possible use some boards and track the digger over boards. Be very careful as I can't see the area or steps I don't no if it's safe to do it but that's the principle 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping really appreciate it, and love the videos 👍
@kaj661 no problem and thanks very much 👍
Hey Justin, what’s your availability like currently for South Wales near Blackwood?

😂😂😂 I thought the same rich

No hedgehog access routes as always. People like this are why our hogs are dying out.
Can't argue with that
Hot weather you will be glad to know rains back this week,i would do away with string line hard to beat a laser level i would then decide fall i want eg porcelain probably 1in 60 so no water lying on lip of porcelain and then i measure how many linear metres then work out what overall fall is mark it on house and snap chalk line around house saves pegs and pins then just have to set laser level of chalk lines and work out levels for footings and any other falls as when theres pins and wooden datums they can get knocked so easy,good laser level is worth every penny
Yea good point there I'm just old school always worked for me .
A laser level at some point is going to happen just a bit stuck in my old school ways .
Not a huge job so all good anyways .good luck next week 👍🙌
It's just for me, so I could better understand: I would skip using a string line because a laser level is much more accurate. First, I would decide on the slope I need, like 1 in 60, to ensure no water pools on the edge of the porcelain. Then, I'd measure the linear meters needed and calculate the total slope. After that, I’d mark the slope on the house and snap a chalk line around it-this avoids the need for pegs and pins. From there, I’d set the laser level to the chalk lines and figure out the levels for the footings and any other slopes. Pegs and wooden datums can easily get knocked out of place, so investing in a good laser level is definitely worth it.
