Cleveland did have a good season that year, finishing just 3 games behind the Yankees for the pennant. He was way off on the Giants winning the NL though, they barely finished over .500.

November 5, 1955 was the day Marty McFly travels back in time to in Back To The Future, It likely wasn't mentioned in any newspapers that would have been shown in the movie

They misled the panel by starting off with “something he is,” when it was about all he had done earlier, not what he is now. Then Art Carney nearly nailed it with “are you a pitcher?” but then had to get cute by adding “a rookie pitcher,” allowing the answer to be no.

He was sharp as a tack at 88. God Bless Mr. Denton True (Cy) Young. He did it without a Pitch Count, Coddling, or Pussifying sabermetrics.😮

I read about him, I found it kind of sad that after he retired he survived on $300 a year -stock dividends. . .

And the Dodgers and Yankees ended up the pennant winners. That’s baseball for you.

why are ty calling him "Mr". Denton...
if any of them were big baseball fans theyd know it in a second "Denton" would be obvious to any such fan.
UPDATE: never mind i jut saw it all the way thru, they mixed up his name on purpose

Well he guesses rookie pitcher jokingly, so obviously it must be foreknowledge and fake. I mean why would he be saying that
