They really had nothing to gain from rigging this show. The money was peanuts. Sometimes on this type of show (along with What;s My Line) lucky guess got the answer right away.
Jayne Meadows was on IGAS in the early 1950s. I don’t remember if she was an original member of the panel or she came on shortly afterward. (She wasn’t even dating Steve Allen at the time) Nonetheless, she became a regular panelist because she was very good at game playing. There is no need to give answers, etc. to this woman.
You do so when you're juggling a ton of details about the show, watching the clock, receiving cues from the director, wrangling and directing the guests, answering questions from the panelists, coordinating the live commercials... and much more. He just makes it look so easy as if he isn't doing all of that.
Steve Allen put out 2 Funny Fone Call albums, and I have them both, they're quite funny with Steve's fast mind!
The old guy's pace was 4.84 miles/hour if he took no rests in 28.5 hours of walking. Pretty impressive..
This show was taped in Los Angeles, with announcer Bern Bennett filling in for John Cannon, and bandleader Irwin Kostal filling in for Norman Paris.
Funny phone pranks are a thing of the past. When we were kids, we had a million of them! 😂📞☎️
Harry Morgan is kinda cute
Henry Morgan is pretty cute
Henry is a hunk
Jane Meadows was the most beautiful woman who ever lived.
You really think so?
I think she always looks weird ... sorta like a dude in drag.
Is Steve's hair graying here?
Audrey Meadows, just a "wild guess, out of the blue"?Or rigged?

This was Jayne Meadows. She was an actress. Jayne Meadows and Audrey Meadows were sisters. Jayne Meadows was the wife of Steve Allen.

How the hell do you forget to go to one of the panelists in the middle of a game? Amateur hour.
He'd been hosting for over ten years at this point. Not too crazy to accidentally miss a panelist
He was human!

They had never had 5 panelists on this show before, it's understandable that it was a weird change in format
The most colossally boring show ever.
