Robert Q Lewis had a morning radio show in New York City in the forties and early fifties two songs I remember he sang where “ I am all lone “. and what has been one of my favorites over the last 75 years “ He Held The Lantern, While His Mother Chop The Wood”. The only version I have been able to find is sung by Tex Morton an Australian yodeling sing.
My dad, Lee Vines, was the announcer on this show. Thanks for posting!
