As a 50 year Michigan alumni I want to thank Mark Harmon. His father is the definition of Legend Tom Harmon ultimate Michigan Man Tom Harmon created the legacy of respectful leaders
-worked with him early in his career, a movie called "worth winning" 1989. Great dude. At the end of the shoot he bought all the other cast members gifts. Very approachable.
The first time I saw Mark Harmon was on Adam 12 or Emergency as an attempted spinoff called 905 Wild. He was an animal control officer that helped trap wild animals. It was never picked up. He rode with Malloy in at least one episode of adam12 when reed haddesk duty
My mother's side of my family was all born and raised in and around STILLWATER, PA. It is much smaller than NCIS portrays it. There is no town, just a group of a few homes for a half mile on route 487 just north of Bloomsburg. Half way between Wilkes Barre and Williamsport.
Saw Mark Harmon in person and got his autograph at a celebrity basketball game at Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach in 1980. He was famous for the TV show "240 Robert" at that time. Been a fan ever since.
Honestly, I would have liked to have heard about his time on Moonlighting. His time on the show changed the trajectory of the series. It created quite a triangle among him, Maddie, and David. Oh well.
In a discussion with some westerns fans, it was brought up that if a Hopalong Cassidy movie was to be made now, and done in a way that Hoppy would of approved of, the actor thought on to portray Hoppy would be Mark Harmon.
Mark Harmon met Steven Seagal before Seagal´s first movie "Above the Law". Harmon saw "Above the Law" before the theater release. Harmon told Seagal "I see something very special in you but you got to change your running style. Then Harmon ate something in a restaurant. When Harmon left the restaurant, Seagal was still standing in front it, totally pissed off about Harmon's comment.
Perfect example of ,... Like father, like son .... Both are bigger than life ..His father Tom Harmon was a great football player , at USC ...later yrs Tom Harmon was a famous sportscaster ..for TV ..
I saw Griffey Jr. playing for the Spirit , I went to the minor league Riverside Red Wave games when he played for The SanBernardino Spirit . Even at 18 he was a man playing against boys .
I remember HBO’s From The Earth To The Moon, where Mark played the astronaut Wally Schirra. At the time, when the actual Apollo astronauts were still around, only one person said Mark had a strong resemblance to Schirra - and that was Schirra. (Schirra was not exactly what people called classically handsome.)
I’ve always really liked Mark Harman‘s work and he genuinely seems like a truly decent guy, but the role I always think of first is his heart - string pulling portrayal of Secret Service agent Simon Donovan on the West Wing. I tend to rewatch that series about once a year and every time, the episode of the red mass comes around and Simon gets shot. It just floors me.
I think Mark Harmon’s decision to pursue acting instead of professional football worked out quite well for him. I believe he was a Heisman Trophy contender.
He's done so much and brought to life so many iconic characters...but he'll always be Mr. Shoop from Sunmer School for me 😁
Great movie
Mr. Shoop? You're in this class too????
@phillipweber6059 -"These kids are the same as you and me."
-"You and I."
-"All of us!"
Same 100%
Always

Stealing Home will always be my favorite Harmon role.
Loved him in The Presidio!
My first time seeing Mark Harmon in anything was the movie Summer School, such a fun movie.
Me too.
Used to be on the HBO cycle in 1988...
Mr Shoop is a classic character.
“We’re trapped….like rats!”
“The guy who spent the last 6 weeks in the bathroom got a 91”
Mine was him playing Ted Bundy and also in St Elsewhere
Same here. He was great in that and I always found it disappointing that the rest of his career is basically dramatic roles.
Mark's film Stealing Home is a underrated gem, one of my favorites.
My favourite Mark Harmon movie was the Presidio with Sir Sean Connery.

After all these years, still a stud. I remember first watching him in St. Elsewhere.
Indeed! Dr. Caldwell, the superficial plastic surgeon, until he got cut up by some chick he picked up!
That is the first thing I saw him in on TV. Even before Summer School.
Honestly, I would have liked to have heard about his time on Moonlighting. His time on the show changed the trajectory of the series. It created quite a triangle among him, Maddie, and David. Oh well.
The way his character died in that show was chilling.
@@lorientmh Didn’t his character on St. Elsewhere have HIV or AIDS and he died due to the virus’s complications?

Summer School still a classic
The old UCLA quarterback. Mark Harmon has a had quite a life.
Perfect example of ,... Like father, like son .... Both are bigger than life ..His father Tom Harmon was a great football player , at USC ...later yrs Tom Harmon was a famous sportscaster ..for TV ..
Tom Harmon played at Michigan.
@@danehawk6367 and Mark played at UCLA

905 Wild! Starring Mark Harmon and ALBERT POPWELL!!
Who knew Mark Harmon was SOOOOO charming...?
Most of us.
I remember his sister Kelly from the "Tic Tac" mint commercials 😊
I think Mark Harmon’s decision to pursue acting instead of professional football worked out quite well for him. I believe he was a Heisman Trophy contender.
Harmon seems like he just a normal guy who happens to be a world famous actor
He has brought me so many good times of watching his projects, and his book. Look forward to reading the new one now.
If Rich says “ that’s our production value” one more f’n time, I swear to God!!!
First saw him in 240 Robert. It only lasted one season but He was Good.
He always is!
Special Agent Donavan! Great part in the WW
Always wanted to see the two chainsaw dudes from Summer School on NCIS thinking Gibbs was Shoop. Would have been gold
He played an Animal Control guy in either Adam 12 or Emergency!
That was surreal......... he's talking about making an ad................ and an AD pops upppppppp!!!!!!!!
My favorite Mark Harmon movie is Goliath Awaits.
Mark Harmon!
In my opinion his best movie was a very unknown flick called Stealing Home with Jodie Foster. Check it out.
Summer school is the first movie i saw him in
Product 19 was my favorite cereal growing up.
Sam on Moonlighting ❤
He's aging very nicely. Reminds me a bit of Paul Newman at this age.
Mark was also great in a tv movie called Price of Bel Air
Summer School!
He had some great roles, but Leroy Jethro Gibbs will always be my favourite
Damn I remember when he qb at ucla, he looks great, clearly not a problem with drugs or alcohol
Ringo....look how good undyed hair looks!
I also saw Griffey play for San Bernardino. And then Mark and his ownership team moved that ball team to my home town about 15 miles to the west.
My question: Is there anyway that your character on "240 Robert" could be mixed in with LJG's past on NCIS?
Dude played Ted Bundy.
Rich, How could you have Mark Harmon in studio and NOT ask about Moonlighting?
Shoop and Leroy Jethro Gibbs
I believe he was a part owner of the Quakes before the Spirit.
How could you not ask him about St Elsewhere?
😊🌹😊🌹😊🌹
Is he divorced and in the UK and his sister Kelly has passed away
GIBBS!!!!!!
I heard once this interview was over, Shoop went to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Chainsaw. Kevin, naturally, will be sleeping.
Mark Harmon was also killed off on St. elsewhere.
I remember himin mork and wendy
Ted bundy
no questions about Summer School???? ugh
No questions about Summer School was a big miss
73? He looks 95.
Yeah...he has aged poorly.
Yeah For a pampered lifestyle he’s aged terrible, perhaps he’s a smoker and drinker
