  • After so many attempts this year to ride Alpine Bobsled, I finally got my wish. I have ridden it many times in the years when it was open. But most of the time the ride is always closed due to a part missing that needs to be shipped overseas etc. Intamins in general are not very reliable for operations.
It was great to be back at my closest Six Flags park and my friend Tyler tagged along as well. We had a great time!!! Here's the ride count.
    Alpine Bobsled 2x
    Comet 1x
    Flashback 1x
    Sasquatch 1x
    Desperado Plunge 1x
    Raging River 1x
Alpine Bobsled will be missed and it had its run for sure. I will never forget first ever riding it back at age 8 in 2006. And I truly thought it was a water ride at first, but it wasn't. In fact water cannot even belong in the track because when it rains the water can get pooled the track, and there is also no drainage system unlike the Mack Rides Bobsled models.
Flashback was very solid, a bit rougher than normal, but very intense for a Vekoma Boomerang. Did front row as well and it was really funny that the GP immediately decided to wait for the back while I had my opportunity for front row!! 🤣
Comet was solid as always, lots of airtime and strong laterals.

Alpine Bobsled has unfortunately been closed on all of my visits, but it will be missed and removed for the better. Disaster Transport would be the closest thing I get to riding it.
