- During his defiance on Dragonstone the rogue prince claimed that his paramour Mysaria, the White Worm was with child. This was one of his many lies but what if it had been true?

Maekar claiming Cannibal would be such good poetic symbolism. Maekar’s training from both his father and mother would make for quite the powerful manipulator and warrior and could see him searching for the elusive Cannibal for his shot at getting a dragon after being denied one of the Targaryen ones. His father would have instilled this Valyrian superiority and, if Aemond is anything to go off of, would probably feel like a Targaryen without a dragon is not a true Valyrian. He may want a dragon so bad just to prove himself that he doesn’t care if it kills him. If he were to switch sides as well, Cannibal as his dragon would be fitting seeing as Cannibal and Maekar both betray their own kind.

maybe the three of them (hugh hammer, ulf white, maekar water) would leave westeros with their dragons, and fly to the east to start their own "seven kingdom"

Daemon would rather die than do that, and I don't see Viserys pushing hard for that either.
@@KaiHung-wv3ul I thought of that and Otto himself would probably not like the match too. The wild card is Corlys though as he may accept it but would push for Aegon to be king instead but then again, it's the Velaryon name that's his priority though.

I can imagine Otto and Daemon glaring daggers at each other during the ceremony. You can imagine how the father speeches at the reception went.
Would be badass to have him claim Vermithor. The two most scrutinized members of the Blacks and Greens ride the most destructive dragons. The battle above the gods eye would be so badass in this timeline.
Do you think it would be a 1v2 or a 1v1 with Maekar and Aemond? Or a free for all? Whose side is Maekar with Vermithor on?
@@Charles-In-Charge probably the Blacks, he’d have no connection to the Greens. It’d be illogical for him to turn tail on his family especially after Rhaenyra legitimizes him and has him bond with a dragon. He’d be the one to take the role of Daemon above the Gods Eye.
I don't know if Laena Would treat Maekor as bad as Catlyn did Jon. Since In this instance it would be way before her and Daemon were married. But then again bastards do have a stigma
Yeah… but isn’t he her second cousin once removed, regardless? Laena is related to Daemon. Thus, if she feels some kind of way about a bastard - who frankly is probably closer to her age than she is to Daemon’s - she can console herself with the knowledge that she’s taking in a relative 😂
That a fair point about Laena and Maekor but what would be interesting is what happens after Lucerys dies.
Let's say Maekor is in love with both Baela and Rhaena but he can't have Baela because Jace is alive but with Luke gone I think there a prefect way for lord water to prove his loyalty to the blacks and win Rhaena heart, im speaking of blood and cheese because remember Meakor is a street kid unlike the others he knows who to move around the city hidden ways, so he goes with blood and cheese and while there off doing there thing he goes after and kills Aemond, cutting off his head and bring it back to dragonstone showing it to Rhaenyra giving her a reason to make him a true targaryen and freeing Vhagar for Rhaena.
I think Maekar would probably end up claiming Vermithor considering it appeared Daemon was trying to keep the dragon use to having people around him anyway. I could see Rhaenyra legitimizing Maekar and then Daemon taking him into the caves to try and claim Vermithor as his unofficial initiation into Targaryen legitimacy.
Pls give us a part 2 this is an exciting what if
definitely been said before or you've already thought it but what if both cases were true at the same time? What if Rhea and Mysaria both gave Daemon sons?
A what if timeline with the bronze dragon and lord waters would be awesome imagine Deamon on Caraxes, Meagor on Verimator and Meakor on the Cannibal flying into battle.
Another what if daemon had a child can't wait to see what happens next but when will you do part 2 with Maegor the bronze dragon.
Also on a side note what if you combined this what if with the what if with Maegor the bronze dragon, can you imagine the what would happen if Deamon had two sons, also what kind of big brother would the bronze dragon be like.
Maekar would follow suit with your theory Though I believe he would consider doing something no targaryen has done and he would claim the Cannibal which not only would change the face of the dance of dragons since the cannibal is known to kill would be riders and targaryen dragons would give anyone whether its team green or black an advantage having a dragon with experience and older then Balerion and possibly the size of the dragon could even kill Vhagar. though it just depends on what eachside is willing to give Maekar for his help in the war combat strength and his dragon though I could see him turning on anyone who dares challenge him it just depends on the strength of family to temper him and whose willing to give him what he wants by the end of the dance.
What if Viserys died before he had named Rhaenrya his heir?
Rather than Maekar just joining the fight after Aemond claims Vhaegar what if Maekar pushes Rhaena to claim him and gets into a fight with Aemond to stop him from claiming Vhaegar. This turns it into a one on one fight that Maekar probably wins and is punished for after establishing a rivalry between the two because Maekar, a bastard, stopped Aemond from claiming a dragon, and Maeker would hate Aemond because he was punished for helping his little sister achieve her dream and Aemond didn’t have to go after Vhaegar when Vermithor and Silverwing were still unclaimed at Dragonstone
Okay, about the what if.
Daemon has a son now, yes he’s illegitimate but now with a son how different would Daemon become?
It’s possible Daemon might become softer but he’s still Daemon, don’t know if Viserys would legitimize Daemon’s son unless Rhaenyra asked him but that be unnecessary as Rhaenyra could legitimize Daemon’s son herself as Queen.
I think I’m curious is what happens if Daemon’s son claim Vhagar instead of Aemond?
What would the Greens do if they didn’t have the advantage of the biggest living dragon on their side.
But on the other hand, depending on his resentment towards his father, cousins and half-siblings, he might decide to join the greens with Aegon-II promising to legitimize him, or something like that?
He’s a blank slate in this scenario so you can take his character wherever you want to, it be interesting to see people’s interpretation on this hypothetical character.
I absolutely see Maekar joining the greens. Everything the Strong Boys have, he deserves. After being punished for defending them from Aemond, AND not getting a dragon, I see his resentment just building for years. When Viserys dies and Rhaenyra’s in labor, Maekar goes to see Vermithor instead of Daemon, and he claims him. He decides “you know what? Firstborn sons SHOULD be king” and flies to King’s Landing to support Aegon, but once dragons start dying and his position improves, he’ll play to crown himself.

Yeah that would be awesome Meakor Water the bastard son of the rouge prince and the white worm, lord of flee bottom rider of the Cannibal, that an impressive title list but if that happens can you imagine the lies that Otto and greens would sells about him.
Because remember bastards are seen as evil or lesser than dirt if he claimed the Cannibal a dragon known to kill and eat other dragons and said to be uncontrollable who knows what they could come up with.

Good video but I feel like you underestimate how powerful royal bastards can be, bastard or not they are still nobility and if they were to be taken in by their father then they would be miles above any one especially if they are part of the royal family. Maekar wouldn't be some poor little baby boy if Daemon took him in, he would effectively be like Daemon's trueborn heir with the exception of him never actually being able to inherit. Harming him would still be a crime punishable by death, he would be able to mess around with his cousins/half siblings and he won't be seen as beneath them.
Alternatively, I just imagine Maekar just abandoning ship when he realizes "Oh fuck, Im gonna get into a civil war with dragons! And I dont even have one!". Sure, he loves his sisters and maybe his dad but guy takes after his mother, he's a survivor. In his eyes, legitimacy isnt worth painful death.
Or hell, what if he's not involved to begin with. Sure, hes met his stepfamily and his uncle's family but Maekar stays out of the drama. Sure, he can bond with his sisters or chat with Rhaenyra but he isn't gonna get involved in their political squabblings. And when the Dance is starting and Rhaenyra and Daemon are searching for dragonseeds, thats when Maekar packs his and his mother's bags and books it to the next continent.
I like that idea. He just buggers off to Lys. And enjoys life, away from all the shit going down in Westeros.
What if Raena tamed Vagar after her mother died?
When I imagine this scenario I often liked the idea that Daemon would have known about his son and legitimised him himself, as Daemon was briefly the King of the Stepstones, arguably giving him the power to legitimise his son. Now of course most other characters dont recognise this and perhaps the son starts to resent Daemon for abandoning the Stepstones as he views them as being his birthright and Daemon's kingship over them being the only thing that gave the son's legitimisation any legitimacy.
What if Rhaenyra have three daughters and her had only two sons ( Aegon and Viserys ) with Daemon
@martinspacil5100 If Rhaenyra's first three kids were daughters, I feel like Viserys, always eager to keep things neat and tidy, would've betrothed each of them to his sons, according to which pair would've been closest in age. It would've been Aegon and Visenya [Rhaenyra always wanted a sister or daughter by that name], Aemond and Aemma [for the princess's mother], and Daeron and Valaena [a common Velaryon name]. Both sides would acknowledge the benefits and drawbacks to these matches. Otto would amp up his smooth talk with both Alicent and Rhaenyra, saying that a union between their respective firstborns would bring a return to the glory days of the conqueror, starting with their names. With the second-borns, I think he'd be willing to put paternity questions aside for ambition's sake, using his grandson to establish a tie between the Hightowers and the seat of Driftmark. Being a permanent thorn in Corlys Velaryon's side would be an amusing bonus. It would've definitely been funny, if Rhaenyra's first son in this timeline had the same name as the boy so many wanted on the throne, instead of her. I can picture the princess, frequently making jokes in the vein of, "Which Aegon do you wish for, hmm?" (5/23/2024)
Would things have been different had Viserys claimed another dragon (Vermithor) after Balerion's death?. I know it's not known for a dragon rider to claim a dragon twice, but just imagine.

I really like the idea of Daemon's bastard son possibly claiming the Cannibal. I can imagine the shock Team Black would have, especially Daemon, when his son comes flying back on the Cannibal's back like a boss. Daemon would find all new respect for his bastard son, and Rhaenyra possibly legitimizing him on the spot for that alone. Word of Daemon's bastard son taming the Cannibal could spread like wildfire, and "Wildfyre" sounds like a good name for the Cannibal if Maekar Waters did claim him. Imagine the Battle of Rook's Rest. When Rhaenys faces Aemond and Aegon on their respective dragons, suddenly here comes Maekar Waters.. flying on the Cannibal. Aegon and Aemond could freak out and retreat, probably never expecting the Cannibal to show up. And if some theorize that the Cannibal is likely the size of Vermithor or even Balerion, it'll be an even fight. And Aemond, if having a rivalry with Maekar Waters after Driftmark, realizes that his rival can now fight him as equal dragon riders. The Dance would suddenly get a lot more interesting.
The bastard and the Cannibal a prefect combination, also wildfire, I think the Cannibal is a prefect name but wildfire would be a prefect name for a house, maybe after the dance for his services Meakor would be given a castle and found his own hosue, hosue widfire.
And i think there another way for Meakor to impact the story, let say Meakor is in love with both Baela and Rhaena but he can't have Baela because Jacaerys is alive but with Lucerys gone there a prefect opportunity for lord water not only to rise through the ranks of the blacks but also win Rhaena heart, im speaking of blood and cheese, because remember Maekor is different form all the other kids, unlike them he a street kid he knows how to move around the city unseen and maybe thanks to his mum work he knows about the hidden passageways, and let also remember at this pont his mum is imprisoned so he has to do something to save her, so I say he goes with blood and cheese an use what left of his mum spy's in the city to find Aemond, and can you imagine if this happened they find Aemond but Cole is with him and Meakor would know they can't take them both without alarms being rised so they wait than Otto shows up once Cole leaves than they attack and that out both Otto and Ameaond cutting off there heads and taking them back to dragonstone showing them to Rhaenyra, also if the whole thong Heleanna happens maybe that would be a bonus, or or maybe Meakor us smart enough to just kill Heleanna and take the kids with him, imagine him showing on dragonstone with the heads of Otto, Aemond, Heleanna and Aegon kids alive as hostages.
But if that doesn't happen and he just takes out Otto and Ameaond than not only has he killed Aegon hand but also freeing Vhagar for Rhaena and giving Rhaenyra a reason to trust him and make him a true targaryen.
@@phil.moloney2980 It would make sense for Maekar to be in the plot to kill Aemond if is mom Mysaria was being held prisoner. But I don't think he would go that far with Helaena. If Lucerys is still killed in this time line for whatever reason, since Aemond may have a grudge against Maekar, not Lucerys, because of what happened on Driftmark, Maekar would be dead set on taking Aemond down. And unlike Blood or Cheese, he would be far more patient in getting Aemond. If he knows the secret passages well, he may by his time. At that point, no body knew Blood or Cheese were in the Red Keep. Theoretically, they could wait for Aemond for hours if they have too. And Maekar could be that type to wait for Aemond if the two do have a rivalry. But killing Helaena, I don't see it. Taking her head would not make sense. He would be angry at Aemond, not Helaena. But kidnapping the kids does. If he brings both Jaehaerys and Jaerhaera back to Dragonstone alive, they got hostages. Royal hostages. A bargaining chip that Team Black can't ignore in using to negotiate with Team Green. And with Maekar adamant in only killing Aemond may convince Blood and Cheese to stick with the original plan and wait it out a bit. If Maekar does indeed get respect on the streets of King's Landing because of his father, and since Blood is or once a gold cloak, he maybe would follow him out of respect of his old boss. So coming back to Dragonstone with Aemond's head and the twins alive as bargaining chips would be a well executed plan. Even if Rhaenyra was in the dark of it, the only one that got a sudden case of beheading was the man who killed her boy.
@@TheWarSword Yeah the thing with Heleanna was a pit of a long shot, but him taking the kids as hostages I'm glad you agree, and the whole thing about him waiting to get Ameaond makes sense, because can you imagine back on Driftmark the while fight with the kids happens but Meakor isn't there at the start, but imagine him showing up and when he Ameaond call the boys bastards, I can see him appearing behind Ameaond and saying "You got a problem with bastards, you got a problem with me" before kicking the crap out of him.
And if he does tame the Cannibal, can you imagine the trerror he would bring, because if he does kill Ameaond and kidnap the kids, it shows that he willing to do the dirty jobs that on one what to, I can see Deamon coming to Meakor and telling him to take the Cannibal and pay old town a visit in the middle of the night, but what your opinion on Meakor being in love with both Baela and Rhaena, and like I said if he does kill Ameaond it frees Vhagar for Rhaena so would that cause her to see Meakor in a different light, alos would he think about taking Jacaery out.
@@phil.moloney2980 The idea of Maekar and Rhaena having some sort of relationship going on would be interesting to explore. Perhaps in the beginning, when Daemon brings his son to live with Laena and their girls, there could be at first tensions between him and Rhaena. Since he would be Daemon's first and oldest son and probably giving him attention like Valyrian education and customs, she may grow a bit jealous of him. But if Laena does respect and even care for Maekar, he could see her as a second mom to him. So after Lane's death, he be just as traumatized as his little sisters. Perhaps the thought of him claiming Vhagar may come to mind, but because he respected and loved Laena and his sisters, he wouldn't do it out of respect of them. Perhaps he could say to Rhaena this and telling try to encourage her to claim Vhagar to honor her mother. So when Aemond seeks out and claims Vhagar, he be just as angry as Rhaena is. But I can see that after the fight when the kids get questioned, he would say that Aemond stole her chance to claim Vhagar. Maybe he understands that a dragon has their own agency and that it was Vhagar's choice as much as it was Aemonds. But still say that Aemond stole Rhaena's chance to claim Vhagar and defending her little sisters was the right thing to do. So maybe after Driftmark, Maekar and Rhaena could grow to love each other because of that. So if the whole incident with sneaking into the Red Keep to kill Aemond and kidnap Aegon's twin kids, this could also be his way of gifting Rhaena her chance to finally claim Vhagar. His gift to her and probably the most Daemon way imaginable. So if successful and coming back to Dragonstone, he would not only gift to his queen two royal hostages, killing her son's killer, and taking the largest dragon in the world off the chest board, but also presenting the opportunity to his beloved sister the chance that was stolen from her.
@@TheWarSword But if that were to happen there also could be another rivalry form, between Maekor and Jacaerys because think about it Maekor a bastard that has nothing, so after his red keep mission he would no doubt rise in the black ranks and he would push for more maybe he would with Deamon support think about while the rest of the black forces gather, Maekor and the Cannibal pay old town a visit and take out Daeron a Tessarion because imagine Meakor on the back of the Cannibal attacking old town with green fire, but Jacaerys would probably not like the idea and Maekor would probably say " What wrong you don't what to get your hands dirty or do you what to take out a green because I averaged luccerys while you did nothing" and that were it would start and it would be interesting to see who side would Baela and Rhaena take.
