    Just picked up a Megalite +. Very nice ladder system. Is there a list somewhere of the accessories that are compatible with it? There are several on the website that I'd like to purchase, however when I use the drop down box for compatibility, the Megalite is never listed. (i.e. trestle brackets, platform pro, work platform / step, standoff etc). thanks for the assistance!

    • @LittleGiantLadders
      @LittleGiantLadders  7 месяцев назад

      That is odd that they're not populating the accessories that are compatible with the MegaLite+!! You can definitely use the Articulating Ladder Tool Tray, the Tool Tray XL, the trestle brackets (the one listed as "for most models"), the platform pro, work platform, the project tray, the Wingspan Ladder Wall Standoff, the Fuel Tank, and the Ladder Rack. Some of those are a little redundant - you'd want to pick either the tool tray or the tool tray XL, not both; I prefer the platform pro over the work platform, because it doubles as a place to put some tools if you're on the ground.

    • @LittleGiantLadders
      @LittleGiantLadders  Год назад

      yes, in all the ladder positions, it is rated for 300 pounds. And something many may not realize is that when it's in the A-frame configuration, that means 300 pounds on both sides at the same time (For example if you had someone helping out.)

  • @TeufelHund
    @TeufelHund 2 года назад +1

    When in regular folded out mode what height does it extend too? Just to be clear I'm NOT asking about the height of the ladder when completely 180° straight... I'm asking about how tall is the 17' ladder when all 4 feet are on the ground.

    • @LittleGiantLadders
      @LittleGiantLadders  2 года назад +4

      I get it, you're asking about the tallest extended A-frame position! When it's in that position, you shouldn't go above the top two rungs, so in the Model 17, you're able to stand at almost 6', giving a max reach of just over 12'. On the model 22, the highest you can stand in A-frame is 7'7", giving you just over 14' reach.
      I hope that's clear, let me know if you have other questions.

      Are you asking about using it in the A-frame position or the extension position? I'm assuming you're asking about the extension position. If that's the case, we recommend, FIRST: make sure the ladder is set up at the correct angle (~75.5º) - you can download an app called "Ladder Safety" by NIOSH, to verify your angle. SECOND: have an additional person there to foot the ladder, meaning, they would have their feet touching the ladder's feet, preventing it from potentially slipping outward. Finally, just make sure you use the ladder correctly. Don't go higher than you are supposed to, and don't overreach.

    • @LittleGiantLadders
      @LittleGiantLadders  2 года назад +1

      There has to be a certain tolerance in the hinge for it to function properly. If you're getting extra "bounce", make sure you're at a 75 degree angle before climbing. This will help ensure that you're safe while climbing. If you're not sure how to check if you're at a 75 degree angle, (also known as the 4-to-1 ratio) you can download a NIOSH ladder app which has a ladder level inside that lets you make sure you're at the right angle: www.cdc.gov/niosh/topics/falls/mobileapp.html

    What’s the difference between this and the megamax?

    • @LittleGiantLadders
      @LittleGiantLadders  2 года назад

      The megamax uses regular rock-locks on the side, while the megalite uses a J-hook style lock. That's really the only difference and just comes down to preference of what style lock you enjoy more. The other style of locks is a rapid-lock and that can be found on our Multi or Leveler ladders, (but the Leveler has built-in ratchet leveler legs for uneven ground). The Velocity with ratchet levelers is similar to the Leveler, except uses rock-locks instead of rapid-locks.

      That's a great question. The biggest difference is simply that the MegaLite is a few pounds lighter than the MegaMax. BUT STAY TUNED!! We have an exciting announcement that the MegaLite is being updated to a 2.0 version, and neither the current version of the MegaMax (only available in Canada right now) and the MegaLite (exclusive to Costco) will be available. I was looking to buy one a week ago and found that the gorilla ladder had the last function for the planks. And yours didnt and know a week later you guys come out with this still i like my gorilla ladder they had them ready at Home Depot. And i seen one of these little ladders at Lowe's yesterday and it was broken from one of the plastic twist tabs making it useless on that side to raise up. • @LittleGiantLadders

      Never use WD-40 on a ladder! Through production and shipping, sometimes the moving parts become stiff. I would recommend a dry-lube on any moving parts (hinges, the rails). You should only have to do this once every 6 months or less.
