To help with the moving and firing, the War Thunder Bradley has a cruise control setting that replaces the first speed level with "Battle" cruise speed, this allows you to move forward at a slow enough speed to operate the TOW. At least that is how it was on the test server if I remember. Hope this helps you if you play this vehicle again.
It's still there but you move pretty slowly.

I believe this is accurate in real life as too so that's kind of cool they were able to make things so realistic.

Phly since the Italians got a whole load of wheels vehicles with the 106mm recoilless rifle I think it’s only fair for the Willy’s Jeep with the 106mm is added for the US! You need to push for this!
gregory lozado I don’t think that’d fit at any tier even in AB. The wheeled 106’s are just fine, plus they can’t be killed by machine guns as easy as it would be if there were a Jeep with one strapped to it. Besides, how WOULD you tier that? 6.7 gun with a vehicle that would barely class as a 1.0? I don’t think so.

Hearing that sound of the 25mm go off reminds me of my time with the 1st Cav Division in Ft. Hood tx. I do miss my Bradley. Fun fact the Bradley did have an AA sight on it and extra ammo was stored in the back underneath where the infantrymen's feet.
Just as a, "Bradley as AAA" side note: When I was in the Army (the early 90s,) the army had a couple of stop-gap anti-air systems in place, one being the Avenger (a Hummer with a .50 cal ball turret and 2 box launchers with 4 Stinger II missiles each in the bed,) and the other being a Bradley carrying a Stinger MANPADS team. They figured that the Bradley could get the Stinger team into battle fairly safely, and the chain gun had the capacity to engage helicopters in addition to providing security for the rocket team. Now, that is something I'd love to see in game, you stop and drop the ramp, and a little anti-air AI infantry team could pop out and fire at aircraft.

@@jacplac97 The M6 was put into service a decade after I served so this is the first I've heard of it, but you're not wrong. It might be a little too current for the game but I get the feeling that Gaijin doesn't give much of a crap about things like that anymore so long as it helps them sell GE.

Ok I know this comment is ancient news and idk if it used to be different but at this time the Bradley can’t really accurately fire two atgm’s at a time. Once you fire the second one the first loses it’s guidance and sorta flies off to do its own thing.
You know what sucks? Spending 1,750,000 lions on a MiG-17 so you can start researching the new MiG-19, only for a 50% discount to start a day later...
Happened with me two days ago when I bought the M4. Still pretty low on the 'Murican tech tree, and I only had 80K lions. 77K spent on the M4, then I couldn't afford a crew. As soon as I grinded enough SL to finally buy a crew, 50% off discount on American and US vehicles. I was not a happy tanker..

Phly, the Bradley reloads its TOWs at the same time. Therefore, both TOWs must be fired before it will reload the first one.
If this is the case it's wrong because I distinctly remember reloading single TOW's both in basic training at Bradley familiarization and at my unit.

I’m aware this is old but current era brads do reload both at the same time typically but it’s also unusual to carry more then 2 TOW’s into combat as the Bradley currently is almost exclusively a scouting platform for CAV units and not a AT platform

@@heem_cat5140 Nope, it's definitely the main theme of 1942. I'm no music producer, so I can't give any technical words to explain it well though, and the instruments I have in mind could be completely wrong.
But if you go and listen to the two themes, and compare it to the one in this video, it's most likely that it is 1942's theme.
Also, @JohnBlund94 the battlefield theme is universal amongst most battlefield games. They do have differences between them though. Battlefield 1942 and 1943 sound different.

Phly, the Bradley has a battle cruise control mode so you can keep moving while still being able to fire your ATGM. I'd recommend using it right before you get to a combat area, so you don't have to constantly wait for your ATGM launcher to pop up.
Funny thing is that slow TOW pop up and stow away is pretty accurate to how the Bradley really works. They did a good job on the sound of it too. Thanks for the vid Phly.
@PhlyDaily Idk if anyone already suggested it or if you have seen it but you should watch the movie PentagonWars (1998) with Cary Elwes and Kelsey Grammer if you haven't. It's about the Bradley development and is HILARIOUS. MUST WATCH.

Who would've thought that firing ATGMs on the move or seconds withing stopping is a war crime... Bradley is a true gentleman of the battlefield.

I drive a Bradley in the army and I can confirm, it is realistic for the launcher to go down when you move. We only deploy it when we're in a defensive position or are going to engage a tank.

The M3 is a CFV Cavalry Fighting Vehicle M2 is an IFV Infantry Fighting Vehicle. The M3 has no gun ports, carries more missiles and just 2 scout dismounts it is intended as armored reconnaissance

Hey Phly. The Bradley in the US Army has a safety feature where if the vehicle is faster the 3 mph the TOW is aborted. Warthunder might be trying to add that to the game with how the TOW goes from stow to launch position in game. Also the launcher can only hold two TOWs before reloading. To reload the gunner had to turn the turret to the TOW load position. The soldiers in the back then pop the cargo hatch on the back of the Brads to load the TOWs in the back of the launcher.
Rancor 88 yeah it’s because to fire the Tow, you have to be in a defensive position. It’s not only Army Doctrine but there is a computer failsafe depending on how updated your system is. Defensive positions deem you to be stopped and preferably in a defilade.

As someone whose qualified on the Bradley system I can tell you that you cannot fire the tow2 accurately when moving too fast. If I remember correctly the max speed you can move and shoot the tow2 is 5mph. Also the Bushmaster M242 chain gun wouldn't be able to pen main battle tanks since it only boots a 25mm round. However, the tow2 is more than capable of killing almost all main battle tanks currently in service.

@2:53 "not my job in real life" as a 14R (BSFV) on the M2A2 it was our job. We use to shoot at a Sleeve towed by a jet at Todendorf and at Putlos back in the early/ mid 90s. We would accualy train to use the 25mm for engaging aircraft.

Edit: WT needs to make it selectable TOW up or Down (key map). Over 5k speed make it go to prestow and prolonged driving with it up damage the launcher.
Edit #2: Fly.... you would be PISSED if you had to go to the TOW load postion to upload. The back of the launcher needs to be over the cargo hatch to load TOWS. ;)
Phly tip for the Bradley hit the cruise control button once and it goes into "battle" mode where it won't go over 10 kph which keeps the launcher up.

@PhlyDaily if you press CC once you will enter BATTLE mode where you will advance at 10km/h maximum. This is slow enough to keep the launcher out without it retracting itself.
In this update ... All ATGM carriers needs to stop moving in order to fire the ATGM. Bradly is the only tank that can fire on the move but only at 10kmh that is.
If I remember correctly the Bradley's TOW has an auto retract dude to speed. Also it has 2 fire rates slow (the in-game) and high (use for anti air) also had an anti air iron sight on a barrel mount.
