The problem with Italian tanks is they were total crap for most part of the history, so War Thunder should have added them as a sort of 'Ultra Hard Mode', instead of doing the stupid thing it did that has ruined the game.

i think they should make a mode where only vehicles that actually fought each other in real life face off like tigers v t34s for example. to make it more fair the t34 would have to significantly outnumber the tigers (also realistic) or have more respawns.

Give it HVAP rounds 60 rounds in a belt and a 10-13s reload time then it can be placed 5.7 maybe?

If this is meant to be an anti-air vehicle in WT, setting it at 5.7 or even up to 6.7 seems fair enough. There's no other anti-air even at these ranks with such effectiveness.
It's not because it "only" has a 20mm that it should be low BR, it's a modern, very fast vehicle with an insane rate of fire. It also has no open top and a 2 plane stabilizer.
I really hope that we won't see modern vehicles mixing in WW II battles either...

We already have tons of things that destroy ww2 immersion.. pt76 firing heat fs at panzer 4s is one of those.
RU251, Cold war scout tenk staying by the side of WW2 monsters like the KT, IS tanks and Jumbos.
We also have a LATE pershing (WW2 design went late into war, the in game one is a model built after it, google and you will notice the key differences). We have a russian cold war AA sitting in 3.0; there's several POST war french designs facing early to late WW2 designs (because France lost so early they wouldn't have anything to show), while a few had been projected early WW2, a lot of them aren't so much.
It means less CAS so I'll take the immersion hit

I love the 20 mm suspension high-speed sway compensator system. Tight turns at top throttle threatening to tip your tin tiffin tank? Swing that barrel to the low side and rip some shells to push it back on all fours. Pull off some warp-speed reverses and other fancy-dancy maneuvers with the magic of opposing directional forces! Whee!

Why exactly? Bearing in mind it's in that place due to the performance of the vehicle, not the date (like everything in War Thunder) specifically because matching by date is a terrible idea.
I dont like the vehicules from the 50s either. But in the BR 6,0 or 6,7 i can understand that. But a vehicule from the 80s in a BR of 3,3 ist too much (thats 40 jears!!)

That Car can easy fight on a BR of 5,7 or 6,0 against Aircraft (Rate of Fire is quit good, Belt with many Rounds)

The AC Mk.2 AA, Crusader Mk.2 AA, and Wirblewind are all better at anti-aircraft duties than the R3 is, the two British vehicles have the same RoF, velocity and either the same or double the ammunition, along with having a 240 round drum that they can empty (the R3 has to cool down after 150 rounds) while the Wirblewind has a higher RoF, lower velocity, Greater payload and nearly double the RoF with ~320 rounds per reload.
I don't see any reason to move it up, therefore it's OK where it is.
Coming back to this video after 5 years, I still cant believe they released this thing a 3.fucking 3 XD

I reckon this was actually the very first vehicle with a body designed by Giorgio Guigaro and the forerunner of Lamborghini supercars... with a 20 mm gun on the top! The "S" version is the one at BR 6.7 with 2 105 mm recoilless rifles on the top! You can go anywhere at high speed, roll over completely and not die, and easily rush capture points. I have rushed three consecutive capture points in one of these. However, do not get shot by anything except very low caliber MG fire, or you will die! I recently destroyed one of the BR 6.7 versions of this thing with machine gun fire from my M24 Chaffee, which is BR 3.3. If you don't keep moving in one of these you will be back in the hangar very quickly!

When this thing is at a 3.3 BR because it won't be able to kill anything higher then Sherman(yes I know its dev server, but where it stands. I can see it having a hard time killing anything at it's BR even shooting stuff on there side is challenging enough for it) overall it is balanced, just the community is crying about it because it gets 20mm auto canon and is a fast boi. People plz. Git gud ffs.

If it got moved to 5.7 it could be the bane of any light armour if we gave it the more modern 20mm rounds. Meanwhile the British have an open top 29mph AA tank with less armour than this car and 1 bofors at 4.7, AA doesnt do anti tank at mid tier anywya lol.

@@shockwave1416 You must be new to War Thunder or out of your mind to call this balanced. A blind man can see that this vehicle doesn't belong to 3.3.
1) It's an SPAA, not a tank. It's main job is to protect your team from enemy CAS and be an extremely cheap, low point last reserve to give you a last chance at the match to make enough points to spawn with another tank to actually have an impact on the game. It's not meant to be actually effective at killing tanks.
2) This thing is just OP as it can get. When it can shoot down MiG's at absurd ranges and angles you know it's total overkill against slow 3.3 piston engine WW2 planes. Yet on top of it's OP Anti Air capacity (and being actually quite hard to to counterkill with planes) it's so quick that it can dominate a lategame by easily capping every point within minutes and being able to outflank (and then kill) or even Blitzkrieg spawnrape everyone at 3.3.
3) It's simply ridiculous to see this next to early WW2 vehicles fighting. War Thunder realistic battles should always aspire to place vehicles on their Tiers to somewhat fit the historical timeline they are in.
Once again: This is an SPAA. It's negligible if it can't enemy kill tanks from the side or even front as long as it is capable at shooting down planes. This beast belongs even without HVAP to 7.0 due to it's insane 20mm and fast speed. You can certainly play it effectively at even higher BR's to shoot down Jets, Helos without ATGMs, cap stuff and even kill Cold War tanks if you know where to shoot. Rank V is where this vehicle belongs.
I hate gaijin when they add modern tanks into low tiers completely ruins the game. This tank should be at top-tier hunting choppers and other ifv's, its out of place at 3.3

I don't see how it "ruins the game", you already don't have historical vehicle matchups, team composition, or locations for them to be in, why does putting a modern vehicle at a BR where it can perform as well as everything else ruin the game?
It specifically does the opposite, most post war vehicles at a low BR would be unplayable at higher BRs.

I recently started grinding for this "car" do to a short I saw of someone disabling a tanks turret and tracks by flanking with it and I was inspired over all Italy Is fun to play and maining it is a experience at least

A good many wheeled armored cars were designed, made, and used during WW2 in the same vein as the M-8 Greyhound. They had so many uses and versions. Its a neat little piece of kit.
