*To answer your question in the beginning:*
Depends on how you deploy it.
If you call your minivan an APC, and use it to drive infantry to the frontline, it is an APC. If you use it to support your infantry (somehow) than nobody will stop you from calling it an IFV. Slap a turret on top and lead an assault, and you've got a tank. You get the idea.
Of course we have specially engineered vehicles for that, but technically the line is drawn in deployment manner.
But APC stands for - Armored Personnel Carrier ....and minivan is not armored
@@jankukura6744 Armoured can be anything from a 0.5mm aluminum sheet to 200mm of RHA. Being inside a van protects you from rocks being thrown at you, so it is still armoured to an extent.

It's a soup pot on tracks.
In realistic a 2km shot is a pain but not uncommon. My best is off the bottom of the stadia lines on the sight picture. Literally 2.5 km plus. I have no idea how far the shot was. But to be perfectly honest, the round was coughing and weezing and on crawling knees when it got to the target.

Glad i found this channel. Ive had war thunder for years but i never hardly play games anymore. I didnt realize how detailed and amazing this game was which is 1 cool but at the same time too complex for me to just jump in and figure out. If i sat around and played all day everyday then i would probably be playing this one.

its pretty simple:
In a tank, armor is a key feature on the same level as firepower.
Spg's usually have realy weak armor, the armor is mostly not thicker then on a stationary gun, thus they are called self propelled gun.
In German thermonology it is even clearer; German for Tank is "Panzer" which is also the word for armor. An spg is called "Selbstfahrlafette" which means self propelled gun.

Although I am not 100% sure but I think these are right answers:
A tank has a rotatable, covered turret, armor and engine at least.
A self propelled gun [SPG] has no rotatable turret and has one gun only (for example no machine gun additionally). In the simplest form it is just a gun without any armor protection what does not need a separate towing vehicle, so the bare minimum is a gun and an engine plus the further necessary parts (transmission, wheels or tracks - it does not matter which, etc.). A self propelled gun can be a self propelled artillery [SPA] or a self propelled anti tank gun [SPATG]. Self propelled anti air is an exception from the rule since the rotatable turret is a must in this case.
Therefore for example the Panzerjäger I is an SPATG.
The Hetzer or the Jagdpanzer IV/48 for example are a bit of mixture of a tank and an SPG because of the additional machine gun, but still classified as SPG because of the lack of the rotatable turret. (The machine gun was added as a weapon against infantry because of practical need, this way they could defend themselves against enemy infantry without supporting own infantry.)
(This also explains why the American GMCs are not tanks but not SPGs either. They have rotatable turret but it is open.)

The best rounds I've had on warthunder, are the ones where there's only ONE cap objective, and everyone is in a giant mosh-pit attempting to take it.
Utter chaos, but rewarding if you have a good position, and know how to handle yourself.
That camo is probably the best one for a winter map.

would be nice to see the British Equivalent at 4.7, the Crusader AA something mark 1, It is one of my favorite tanks to go out in because of that rapid fire gun, takes out planes very effectively as you mostly only need to land 1 or 2 hits to take one down, and with tanks you do the same thing really, but it is a little easier to kill but it is faster and smaller.
I feel like the SPG is based around the gun, and taking out other vehicles, while the tank is about infantry support and “tank” roles.
