However, if you look at the tanks list between Axis and Allies, you can see the obvious thing: Allies tanks only have 1 out of 2 choice: High pen, low post-pen damage, or, high post-pen damage, low pen. Meanwhile the Axis has both. US tanks have no tanks that has APHE with 180mm+ even up to 7.0 without significant drawn back (turret-less, no armor, terrible mobility, premium status or even 2 of them in 1 tank). Meanwhile German already has 190mm penetration APHE since 4.7 yet still acceptable drawn back. The soft stats for US tanks (early stabilizer, fast turret rotation etc.) does not compensate for the lack of penetration because what's the point of all of them when you cant even penetrate the enemy almost anywhere from the front when they can just point and click at you to send 3 but not all of your crew to heaven?

It makes no sense to force you to struggle against everything with the m4a3 just to get the 76mm that will only be good at 5.3. Any uptiers with them just has you be the seal getting clubbed. I've noticed I have every 3 or so games where I get a downtier to the 4-5 range with the tiger h1, but with the m4a3 its uptiered at the same rate
@@ln7929 I personally never used it as a backup because my lineup didn't have space for it (I am much more comfortable pushing on city maps in a Tiger). Going from D to A was a guilty pleasure since you face the same enemies with a tank better in every aspect except for unchanged armor. Even the Zimmerit reduces light reflection and makes for a decent ad hoc camo pattern.
5.3 is one of if not the best br to play at. T34 85, IS 1, Tiger, Panther, Jumbo ,Sherman 76, M18, ARL 44, Comet, Challenger are all fun to play and can all be competitive when played right. Just need an Italian option and possibly a few tweaks but compared to other brs this one stands out
Although, the ARL-44 with the 90mm also got moved down to 5.3, and that thing can go through the panther pretty much anywhere at the front. And now that it got rid of the tiger 2s, it doesn't have much to worry about anymore

I can kinda relate cause it's like a way of seeing where you might wanna end up or what you may or may not want in a house etc. there's so many sub-conscious things going on when ya do it it's hard to explain every single one. Hell, when I went to go pick up my car in FL since I had a 5 day transfer title, I took 2 extra days driving back home to go explore around some places down south before I came back home to craptastic PA.

Phly, WT doesn't need to try to make 5.3 lucrative. It is my fav BR for Germany! You got Nashorn (love it early game!), Pz IV/70, Tiger H1 and now Panther D for ground. Add Do 335 for ground striking and a Wirbel for AA/side-shooting and you're pretty much set. Sure, urban combat is tough for this setup, but whenever you get shooting lanes of 500+ meters, oh boy is it fun :D

The fact that this thing is 5.3 while the Easy 8 and T-34-85 are 5.7 is ridiculous. It's also not that bad in close quarters. It's a lot like the T-54 in that you swing the whole tank to get on target rather than the turret. I've been playing it a fair bit since they dropped it and 5 plus kill games are just average. It's ridiculously good at this level.

basically Phly plays panther like panzer IV/70, this is exactly how you play IV/70 and can be amazing (it has lower profile and better armor than panthers turret, and slightly better than it's hull)

basically Phly plays panther like panzer IV/70, this is exactly how you play IV/70 and can be amazing (it has lower profile and better armor than panthers turret, and slightly better than it's hull)
I don't purchase merchandise often, but if you made a t-shirt with your "original artwork" I would buy it without a second thought

The Comet was killed @ 15.50 by a bomb from an Do 335 B. Couldn't see where he was on the minimap,it cuts to the clip a second to fast to see the death head on the map.
I love WarThunder.. I played it yesterday night to relax after a shitty day. And then got killed by a spawn camping M5A1 twice in a row and went back to the hangar. Such a relaxing game. Would recommend for people with PTSD. /s
