I do this all the time with many nail polish brands. I polish in the am and put gel on in evening. I buff nails down to the color & remove just like I never used gel tc
It works great! Thanks for watching💖
I do exactly same
how long does it last for?
@@oldhabitsdie.screaming as long as any other mani for me, I change my polish weekly
@@LookingForThatBlessedHope thanks!
I'm glad that you showed removing process along with. Loved it, easy to remove & yet last long too.
I’m glad you found the video helpful! Thank you for watching!💖
I also do this but I didn't know I could skip the gel base coat. Thks for the great info
I didn’t think about using a base coat since I was using regular nail polish but maybe it would help. Thank you for watching!
Just did this and they all look great except for one nail that didn’t dry completely. Things I used. Essie strong start base coat, OPI polish (2 coats except for one nail - 3x), then 2 coats of Essie speed setter top coat because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to use a gel top coat, lol. Finally finished off with gel top coat (Modelones) and they look so shiny. Will see how long this last.
I'm gonna do the regular top coat as well cause I just did mine and the polish didn't dry so its all squishy after curing it with gel top coat😭😭 Need to start all over lol😭
Thanks for sharing your experience!
@@Andriana375 I tried this for the first time yesterday. Was probably overconfident about the drying. Did gel immediately after. Now I'm at squishy stage.😭
@@priyaprakash5988 Oh noo!😭😭 Hope it turned out okay the second time😂🌷 I let my nails dry completely overnight then did the gel top coat the next morning and it actually lasted me 10 days after that! I then peeled off the gel layer and removed the nail colour with regular nail polish remover 😂🥲 Will definitely do them with some of my other nail colours next time🌼
@@Andriana375 Yes yes it did. I had to let it dry long enough. And it did last almost 2 weeks !
Ow wow😍😍 your voice is SO soothing !! 🌺💙🌈💜💕 great video thanks💋
Thank you!💖😊
Show us how you get such beautiful cuticles. They look so professional.
Thank you! I just push them back with a cuticle pusher and use cuticle oil.
Game changer!
It definitely is!
Am gonna try this....i have so much regular nail polish but I don't have the patience to wait for the drying, esp on my hands. I'm generally fidgety, the waiting is punishment 😢 so i ended up using it for my toes only
I usually just use regular nail polish on my toes also. Gel polish makes it way better since you don’t have to wait for it to dry. Thanks for watching!
I'm trying it for the first time. Thanks for the tips! Do you know if we can use regular base coat underneath the regular polish?
You can use regular base coat under the nail polish. Thank you for watching!
Thank you! I had the same question. I don't want to buff my natural nails and want to use a regular base coat, regular polish, then use a soak off top coat. I hope it works.
Can you put regular polish on full gel tips and then apply clear gel polish? I have so much regular polish and hate for it to just sit and dry up.
I was actually wanting to try that but I’m pretty sure it would work. Thanks for watching!
U have to make sure the polish is completely dry because it will wrinkle under UV light
I put regular polish on top of gel base coat and builder gel last week and it was completely fine, so I’d imagine adding another layer of gel on top of that as shown in this video would be fine as long as every layer is dried completely.
Doing this for years, need a good topcoat. I've used eyeshadow as polish as well. Just ordered Zoya Armor Topcoat, can't wait!
A really good nail polish topcoat is KINND QUICK DRY TOPCOAT, cheap and very strong, buy it! Better than Essie No Chips topcoat which shrinks, Seche Vite Quick Dry topcoat was lovely but shrinks and Sally Hansen insta dry clear Topcoat was Quick to dry but Chips easily!
A good cheap gel topcoat & basecoat is MTSSII GEL POLISHES online. A good basecoat works, Kiara Sky Sticky basecoat and KINND nail primer work well with SGP gel polish! UK 🇬🇧 21.5.24
Thank you for the tips!
How long do they stay looking perfect for?
I actually removed them after filming the video but I’d like to see how long they last
How long can you get this to last? I can’t wait to try it!
Hi! Thank you for watching! I’ve only tried this once so I’m not exactly sure how long it lasts, but love to do a video about that sometime💖💅🏼
@@nailswithmandy thank you 🙂
I want to :
Clear reg np
Peelable gel
Two coats of reg np (color)
Gel top coat
Filing is way to much work I want to be able to peel them off
Any tips???
If you want to peel them off with no damage to your nails, you would need to apply a peel off base coat before applying the nail polish
What is the name of the OPI polish, it is so pretty!
It’s called Altar Ego. I did get it a while ago so I’m not sure if they still make it.
@@nailswithmandythank you so much!
Has anyone tried with essie and orly regular nail polish?also, how long does this gel top coat stays for with regular nail polish?
I have used it with Essie because I only have Essie brand. It works and it stays for as long as normal gel does. I wait for about 8 hours before putting the gel top coat just to be sure it dried properly.
@@LaGoKenyane thanks girl! Hopefully it’ll stay for 3 weeks because somehow when I do my own gel it only stays for one week, that’s why I switched to regular nail polish.
Hi! Whats the little brush called you used at 4:25 to clean off your skin?
great vid :)
Hi! I think they are just called micro applicator brushes.
