@@mxrevival For sure! If I can get the jetting down on my RM125 with this wacked out weather, I'd be really happy guy and look into finding a RM250 haha
@@bbundridge definitely a couple ways to go about fixing it once and for all!
Love the channel Charles curious as to why you and seems like most bike builders these days don't build their own engines I can see sending it out for machine, crank and cylinder work but why not just build the engines in house dirt bike engines are not that difficult to do especially 2 strokes I've always done my own engine work seems like it would save the time and money of sending it back and forth and also having the extra expense for the engine assembly the more in house work you do the more the build is all mXrevival.
Thanks Rob!
You're so very right. Especially for a solo guy. If I were just doing a rebuild for myself, I would do it exactly as you said.
In my case, and with bike building to reach a broader audience, or for a magazine for example- there is a lot of sponsorship. I get a great build team of friends and companies together to showcase what we can do. We all promote ourselves this way, build up new and exciting things to showcase for everyone, generate content, and before you know it you have built a killer, monster of a bike with all of your industry buddies.
We all help each other build exceptional bikes.
It is one of the greatest ways I have ever made new friends and industry connections. Hands down. It's how we connect with each other.
That saying: "It takes a village" is in full effect here.
It's nice to have a literal expert in each field handle their portion of a build too.
There are many, many more reasons as well such as time constraints, multiple builds going on, regular life, and customer orders. But I think you get the point.
They just aren't the average build or repair (which are still of course, very important).

Thanks for the vid. How has the blackened hardware stood up over time?
You're welcome 😎 Stands up well! I have some guys running our kits and they love them! Thanks for watching 😎 www.mxrevival.com/product-page/mxrevival-engine-bolt-blackening-service-diy-kit
Thanks for the plug! Nice job you did on the bolts. You might look at our small Plugnplate kits to zinc plate those bolts that didn't seem to have enough zinc on them. see www.caswellplating.com/plug-n-plater-zinc-plating-kit.html
Hi Mike,
Thank s very much. You guys sent out a full kit w/ rectifier a few months ago & I've been having a blast with it!
Thanks for the support. I'm putting out some INSANE pieces with it.
More to come & thanks for the support!
For all RUclipsrs, take this video for example, always play heavy metal for your background music
Heavy or bust!! 🤘
Hey man I just got some stickers from you
Nice to meet you young man, enjoy your stickers!
How did it hold up to heat from the engine?
This stuff is high temp safe (for guns) but it is still being built currently
@@mxrevival I hear ya. I'm about to go with Caswell's zinc plating solution. Replating the carb and random parts for my '76 vette. I'm interested in the copy caf coating, the blue chromate, and black chromate coatings. You have an insta account? I'd like to follow the build. Thanks, Pat.
@@pattygq oh nice! That's exactly what we carry on our website through Caswell.
Plating kit, all of the chromates. Stuff is awesome!
Yes I do, @mXrevival over there as well. And you?
@@mxrevival Just sent a follow under pat_g84. I should really make another account for the vette stuff.
Yea I sourced most of the plating stuff after reading the Caswell Plating book a few weeks ago and now trying to rig up a tumbler for the parts as I don't have a sandblast tank and big compressor. On the list of things to get but no room at the moment.
If I tumble the Rochester Carb body in a homemade vibratory thing I think that'll be a first. Have to be careful not to remove the raised ridges on the casting that help seal to the gasket. I'm sure if I RUclipsd it someone would say, hey you can't do that hahaha.
@@pattygq Ok cool I'll check! Have a great weekend!
Don't they have a zinc kit and a non zinc'd kit?
I don't believe bolt has any products that are not covered in zinc. Otherwise they would probably have a rusty reputation!
@@mxrevival how well does it hold up with putting sockets on them taking parts off & on the bike?
