Put your finger down if you have no cheer experience and didn’t tryout your 7th grade year but decided a month before tryouts you wanted to do cheer so your trying to get a good toe touch(puts finger down)😢🙃
Keep working on hip strengthening and make sure you’re flexible enough to do a straddle and get your chest flat to the floor. After that, it’s all practise & drills - trampolines can be super helpful to practise rolling your hips if you’re nervous though☺️
Do you think it's more important to jump up higher or to get your legs up faster? I'm running out of time in the air to get my legs up and I was just wondering if there is one I should focus on the most. Thank you :)
If you’re able to get your legs high but don’t have enough air time, I would concentrate on jumping higher so you’re able to land the jump nicely☺️ I have another video about how to increase power for jumps so it sounds like that one might help!
100% right! I have found it helpful to stretch my middle splits to help equal out my flexibility and prevent injuries but it’s the hamstring work that has helped me☺️
Hi, are there any specific drills if you can do all the things required in toe touch but when after you jump to then land your feet don't land together?
I only have my left leg splits so im not the most flexible, but do i have to be very flexible to do a toetouch? Btw this was still rlly helpful bc i have tryouts again after our next tournament
My jumps have not really improved. I can't really jump really high and I don't know if it is my flexibility or strength but I will keep doing your videos until the day of tryout come.

Thankyou for this!!Im trying out for cheer and this was really helpful

Love this video!! Is it normal for my hips to pop when I do the drill where you lay down and do a toe touch? Is this happening to anyone else?
I’m trying out for pom and THIS IS REALLY HELPFUL.
Good luck ☺️
Do you have any tips for keeping your leg straight? My jumps are high but I can't stop bending my legs in the air.
Should I focus more on getting my middle splits or stretching my hamstrings?
Focus on hamstrings middle splits don’t really do anything to your toe touch I’ve seen girls without their middle splits have high toe touches

HIIII! I LOVEEEE THIS VIDEO . ALSO YOU ARE BEAUTIFULLLLL GIRLIEEEE💕.How long do you think it will take me to get my toe touch ?

I'm having the same problem:/ I can do a straddle but then when I try doing it in the air it's really low😭
@@tbhidrc3049 Try 1. Bending down lower so you get more momentum when you jump and 2. Rolling your hips so your legs get higher
This helped
