At last - someone who got it done for medical rather than cosmetic reasons !!!
This looks so horribly painful
Hey did you do any nasal rinsing during this time after the surgery I’m still unable to breath after day 4 through my nose it’s so clogged up it’s insane.
getting ready for a college dance clinic, this helped within a week!! Tysm ive seen sm progress
I just had septorhinoplasty on thursday it sucks for few days but it will get better ❤
Love this video!! Is it normal for my hips to pop when I do the drill where you lay down and do a toe touch? Is this happening to anyone else?
Please could you do an updated video?
What’s your surgeons name?
Hey what’s your instagram
Hi, are there any specific drills if you can do all the things required in toe touch but when after you jump to then land your feet don't land together?
How did u get along with brushing your teeth darling?
hi amber its edie just tried your streaches and it really helped my jumps! hope to see u soon! fom edie
They put me out hospital same day . Like 1.5 hours after.
This is so helpful! I have cheer tryouts this weekend, and I’m really nervous, so this should help!
Just had this 48h ago. Wow really uncomfortable bad swelling mouth and eyes. Pain isn’t so bad just mad uncomfortable. Thanks for your video makes me feel bit better I was worried about my swelling around eyes
Do you have any tips for keeping your leg straight? My jumps are high but I can't stop bending my legs in the air.
do you know how I can get my toe touches quieter. every time I land it's always very loud
Could u breathe through your nose?
This helped
I’m on day 5 of recovery just got out of hospital today, my face under the hard cast is soooo itchy! For me personally having the packing out wasn’t too bad but I am slightly worried about them taking the cast off and taking the stints out. That sounds like it’s going to hurt quite a lot. The thing that has surprised me the most is that the thing that’s bothered me the least is my nose, my eyes swelling and burning and my dry mouth have bothered me way more than the little bit of pain from my nose.
I’m on day 2 and honestly I want the cast off so bad. I’m so itchy and it’s really irritating me. I have dissolvable packing as well as stints and it hasn’t fully dissolved yet. Were you able to breathe through your nose after the packing came out?
@@piccoloolivo5970 I'm on day... 11 now, the stitches came out on day 7 and they replaced the cast so I have a new one now and the stints are still in, hopefully removed in 3 days. I'm only able to get a tiny bit of air through one nostril and it really changes from day to day and it just seems due to swelling and also some of the stuff in the nose, dry blood and mucus etc. Just keep doing the nose sprays every day because the more stuff you get out of your nose you will feel better. Sadly the cast just gets more and more itchy BUT if you have an ice pack and put it on your forehead or check near the itch it seems to stop the itching. Currently living with ice packs on my face all day. Apparently when you have the stints removed or in your case when they have dissolved you should be able to breathe much better and they should clean some stuff out of your nose for you. Little warning, when they take the cast off it doesn't hurt but feels SUPER weird, like your nose isn't attached. Also remember your nose will be super swollen after the cast comes off.
@@averagestan9671 thank you for sharing your experience and giving advice! I got my cast off on Friday and my skin on my nose was so bad from all of the dead skin/oil/sweat! The last of the packing has come out as well! Apart from being super swollen I can breathe so much better than before surgery and my surgeon said it’s just going to get better the more the swelling reduces. Good luck with the rest of your recovery ❤️
Thankyou for making this video, it's really helping set me up for the road ahead. I'm going into my consultation tomorrow and am also anxious of this new hospital experience 😅 side note, thanks for the laughs too 😊 my new favourite one liner "I always feel like a chipmunk but today I've gone from Alvin to Theodore"
ik this is an old comment, but how did the operation go?
Hello ma’am! I have been looking at some of your videos recently. I’m trying out for cheer for the first time and I’m on the older side😩. I sadly haven’t been in any physical activities and my body hurts every time I try to practice any jumps. I’m also very dense though I appear skinny. I’m afraid I’m to big and heavy to reach the jumps you preform. What would be your best advice for an out-of-shape newbie?
Thanks so much for uploading this video, it's really helped me understand what I'm going to be going through in the upcoming months <3
Hi Amber, did you notice an improvement in your breathing once you fully recovered? I'm due to have this operation in the summer (my choice) I just want to know if it's worth it. Thanks
How long until your nose regained its full strength? I've got mine tomorrow and I fear it may be just as bad or even worse due to the severity of 3 injuries to my nose. Edit: It's bad. Can hardly see through left eye. Leaking blood from eyes. Lots and lots of blood. Swelling around eyes. Can't look down.
Are you okay now?
@@Tiaacherry no I'm dead
@@Tiaacherry yeah the swelling and bruising has gone down. My nose is super sensitive and hurts a lot. Still can't breathe through nose but the left nostril opens up a bit from time to time. Hopefully should be better once I take the splints out. No more bleeding which is good.
@@zabbas9371 I hope you recover well soon!!! 💕
@@Tiaacherry ah thanks so much!
Hey there, I watched your whole video! I will be having the same thing, I have had sinus issues for 8 + half very long years-and whenever I did bring up about sinus issues not one of them mentioned about a CT/X-ray scan but when I had an MRI scan it did show my right side of my nose was perforated but nothing was said about that but about no tumours etc! 😡 BTW-I'm from the UK so will be having th is all done via the NHS, Anyway had all these appointments cancelled due to Covid which was super annoying and would get burning sensation through my nose constantly for years-had my CT scan had my results from telephone today and said I have a cyst/Polyp in my right nostril under my eye and a misaligned septum! So he was booking that and should be ready to sort out in a couple of months. 😁 I knew burning sensation was due to sinus infection but as it was constant for years and didn't go then knew that the crooked septum interferes with drainage of mucus from the sinuses into the nasal cavity, this can be a prime environment for bacteria to grow, leading to repeated episodes of infection and inflammation in these spaces! Where in England you from-I know you mentioned Birmingham but you said when you did live there, I'm in Kent between Dartford/Bexleyheath way! Prob have it done at Queen Mary's Hospital-Sidcup!
Brave young lady. Yes, immediately after your opp. even with all the trauma and meds, your voice sounded clearer and noticed it improving all the way through your vlog. I see this is 11 months ago so hoping you'r fully recovered, feeling much happier and more yourself. Who knew cheerleading could be so dangerous! Think you should try something less aggressive, like kickboxing maybe. All the best.
hi im 4 days in post surgery feeling a bit crap to be honest can i ask did you nasal douche?
Uk surgeons are expensive and all round cosmetic surgeons. Hardly any specialise in anything, they ruined my face and nose.. Lithuania is where i go. I would never trust Nuffield Health, The Hospital group or Mcdairmaid hall... same surgeons.. do boobs, tummy tucks and face surgery ? ! ! i am no way saying yours did a bad job but for me they did.. twice.
Thank you so much for making this video! It’s so helpful :)
Did you pay for the Rhinoplasty ? Or was it free ?
How would you rate the pain out of 10 x
Hey! Thanks so much for sharing your experience. It was informative and useful but also quite funny and enjoyable! I just had my septorhinoplasty yesterday... currently going through those uncomfortable initial few days. I was wondering when we’ll get to see your follow up video??!
How long was the waiting list? I’ve had a deviated septum for a while now but my gp didn’t want to do a face-to-face appointment and misdiagnosed me with allergies. He prescribed me steroids which made my face swell up and caused abrasions in my nostril, and now he’s still trying other steroids and nasal sprays, it’s tough trying to get someone to take me seriously
@@zybi397 I had a similar issue... when I tried to arrange a meeting with the gp, they arranged a phone consultation and didn't actually see my face. It was only when I came to university in London and registered with my uni's affiliate gp, and exaggerated the issues on the form (because there weren't really accurate options covering my problem), that I was given an appointment to see a gp in person, who referred me to an ENT hospital. This gp appointment was in December and I was given a consultation in the ENT in July. Hope this helps
@@chaa_rrer that’s super helpful! i filled out a form as well but they’re not getting back. i’ll call them up and beg for an appointment haha
Hi, I'm having the same procedure soon, did you get this on private or NHS? Hope you're recovery goes well
Private!
How many 8 counts per exercise?
I usually do each one for either 2 minutes or 2:30 and keep repeating until the track is finished☺️
Hi , I just had my endoscopic surgergy June22,2021. It's was a success. I have my Nasal Surgery , Septorhinoplasty Oct12,2021. I'm ready to get this over. I hope all is well throughout your recovery. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤
How was the Endoscopic Surgery?
Actually the more work done on the foundation of your nose 👃 ( bones etc) the more severe the surgery. The outside is cartilage and wouldn’t produce such intense after effects. Looks 👍 great.
I got a question why Is there blood on your left eye?
Did you have disposable packing? If you did how long did it take to go?
ok so wierd question but for the pain medication, will they be able to give you it in liquid form because I can't swallow tablets unfortunately
Yes, I had mine in liquid to start with as I could barely swallow haha
@@ambermatthews1630 calmm but I just have this mental thingymabob which just stops me from swallowing pills, it could be anxiety idk
I'm 13 but i might have to get the septum surgery thing. I'm really scared for the waking up after but i dont know if im 100% getting it yet. Any advice if i do?
Yes
Would you mind please doing a list of what to pack? Thanks for making this, very helpful x
So did the breathing improved? Ive got headache and throat problems because of the bad breathing, also i cant sleep properly at night, im getting a septorinoplasty in 3 weeks time. Is it a life changer ?
Yes! My breathing is currently so much better! Definitely a life changer, although I know the results can vary from person to person.
@@ambermatthews1630 i had my septorhinoplasty exactly a month ago and now its a life changer, but still feel that its not there a 100% i think its still healing. How long until you felt that everything settle and felt 100% ?
Just got mine a month ago! Anyone who wants to talk about her journey message me! @comfortablysimi xx
Hi! I got a septorhino surgery done, had a dent on my left side nose and it's only been two weeks, but i still see a slight dent on my left. Did you see something of that sort? And if so did it get better with time?
My splint was on so I couldn’t actually see my nose for over 2 weeks but I would get in touch with your surgeon and mention it:-)
Mine is on the 7th June I'm really nervous I'm glad you made it as I couldn't find any uk ones
HIII, could u ask how long it took for your surgery from your ENT appointment
Mines on Friday I’m so nervous lmaooo
I had mine done yesterday’ you’ll be fine
Hi there, thanks for this video 🙌🏻 hope your all healed nicely now 😊 I had septorhinoplasty on Wednesday, I'm so confused as I wasn't prescribed any pain meds, I called the hospital and they said we can't prescribe you anything as your not an impatient any more and my consultant isn't there🤦🏻♀️ so I've been getting tramodols and zapins from my friend as the pain is 😢 but I'm a baby.. I really can't work out why they didn't prescribe me pain meds..what pain meds did you have..🥰 xX
Hey their I have deviated septum I got kicked in the left side of my nose causing it to e Be deviated to the right when it happend I went straight to the hospital they told me my nos was fine and did not think to put my nose back in place! Then after I realised in pictures how bad my nose was ! Its been 3-4years since then I'm 17 now I live in England I'm wondering how I make a appointment where should I go what should I do I'm totally lost if you could reply to this and help and it would mean alot!
I would start off by going to your GP🙂
Did it hurt when you got the packing removed? My opp on Wednesday 🤯
