Multimeter and oscilloscope car diagnosis - KKM828 review

- Checking out what can be diagnosed in car using a multimeter, and reviewing at the same time KKmoon KKM828 graphical #multimeter with oscilloscope. Starting with simple measurements like car battery voltage, voltage drop at crank, voltage peak with engine running, then checking glow plug resistance, watching up close N75 vacuum valve power signal and footwell LED PWM control signal, checking current consumption by the 12V power outlet, and looking for ground connection for 3rd party accessories hardwiring.
👍 In my opinion it's a great device for testing and diagnostic various things around a #car. I've used it when I was retrofitting rear warning lights in VW Golf MK7 and it was a huge help. I'm not a professional mechanic, diagnostician, electrician, or electronic, but I find KM828 extremely useful. It will find a place in my toolbox.
⬆️ Pros
#Oscilloscope function and graphical data display
Small form factor (for something with oscilloscope)
Readout database with 100 inputs memory
Auto range for measurements
Automatic sleep function to preserve battery
Safety reminder (sound + graphical) when working on high voltage
⬇️ Cons
Would prefer a device with USB battery charing option rather than 3xAA battery setup.

Great review. For a non professional electrician, you handled the device amazingly. Thanks so much.
Thanks!
Great video. I liked how it can display, at the same time, the high voltage and low voltage when you started the car. Easy test for battery condition. That alone is a selling point for me.
Thanks for posting such an informative video.
Barry
Great thorough review. Thanks for your input.
Just got one thanks for the information great video keep up the good work
Very good review. Showed lots of great examples how to use it effectively.
✌️
8:59 1.7 ohm comes from maybe bad connection not the probe resistance itself cause there's no resistance in probes. Instrument is so precise it shows everything. Great instrument.
thank you for the superb video demonstration, it's a shame no demonstration on the can bus and surprised at the size of the multimeter
That was a nice review, thanks
Glad you liked it.
Thanks. Useful review 👍
✌️
Огромное спасибо за ваш ролик, все наглядно, просто и понятно!
Thanks 👍
great content, thank you so much.
Welcome!
Thank you You really are very nice to make this video for everyone to see.. Good man! Hey do you know if the LM2020 is the same as yours??
For charging - There is so much room in the back - it can be easily replaced with either lipo (lipo battery @full is 4.2 so it's just a bit lower than 4.5 or 4.8v of alkaline) or just in parallel of the batteries (it will need recahergeable AA batteries also)
Nice review!
Thank you!
Super, thank you
Огненный обзор. Автор, спасибо, это реально очень круто.
Très bonne video. Merci
Super!
✌️
👍👍👍...наглядно, понятно!!!
Question: what is the maximum time I can record a scoop measurement and save it?
Good device and cheap , nice one
Do you have one? Would love if you shared your thoughts!
@@mrfixpl
No but its I definite buy , as quick and easy to on automotive systems , thanks
Let me know how you like it after few days! 👍
Cool, was just looking for something like this
Yeah, I was looking for something that will help me check PWM signals controlling LEDs and this is perfect for the job.
Instead of using the lead, will this work w/ a low current AC clamp???
Hola el voltios también puede leer los parámetros del sensor map de cuatro líneas gracias
The oscilloscope work for laptop repair?
can it show canbus signal on the scope too ?
Good review. You can't look at CANBUS with this ... ?
Is the KKmoon a copy of the Liumy?
Can this tool test CAN -BUS circuits just asking I will wait on your response thank you
Well, it will not decode CAN-BUS communication, that's for sure.
There's also one input channel in the device, when CAN-BUS is 2 lines with differential signal.
But I will check what will happen if I connect it to CAN-BUS network, just to see what we can get on the display.
Great explain... what's price brother
1:43 'COM' stands for 'Common' ;-)
This just proves how unprofessional my tutorials and reviews are 😅
@@mrfixpl hehe he. Each review has a different angle on the matter. It was appreciates to see how you would use it. Arent things I normally do. The wording is not the relevant, but the results.
Can you move the zero line of the scope ?
No.
im buying a hantek and this one too
Let me know how you like them!
Damn!!! $29 at Walmart?
Let me know how you like it, if you get one.
That's a MUST-TOOL meter, its a copy of the Must-TOOL, Lumy & others. But STILL GOOD METERS.. DON'T LET THIS COMMENT PUT YOU OFF BUYING IT. THEY ARE WORTH THE PRICE!! WHICH BY THE WAY IS CHEAP FOR WHAT YOU GET. PUT IT THIS WAY YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED NO MATTER WHICH BRAND YOU BUY..😊
have u used these to test out ckp or cmp sensor waveforms ?
@@JayDee-ve6ml I have used this particular one in the video for O2 sensors signal.
Me equivoque. El voltimetro.
lin-bus test , kann man damit messen
asciloscope lin bus messen was mus man einstellen

useless... you need min 2 inputs to compare timing between sensors.
True, you can not do everything with this tool.
You get what you pay for....
