The reason Ja Rule fell off, wasn't necessarily because he was beefing with Em. People seem to have forgotten that he had his issues with Def Jam. After Def Jam didn't want to be associated anymore with Murda Inc., Ja never released a succesful album or track again. Same goes for DMX. Though Jay Z played a big part in DMX his departure off Def Jam. After his departure, he got signed by Colombia and released "Year of the Dog...Again." Which was a good album imo. After that album, DMX took a hiatus. Which in many cases is the result of losing fans. His last album wasn't released on a major label. My guess is that major labels didn't want to sign him, because he's not reliable (X got incarcerated many times). I don't think either DMX or Ja Rule fell off, to be honest. Neither did Missy.
