My personal opinion, I like it but I played so many other gacha games like it that I can't get into and there's also the other events on other games I play but you should definitely try it. It's pretty high quality for a mobile game in terms of quality and gameplay.
Having played more Gacha's than I care to admit, 7DS is absolutely incredible. No matter how much fun a hero collector is at some point you go down to just doing your dailies, then play a lot during an event. This is probably the first hero collector that has me actively just want to sit down and play just for the fun of it. Not to tick boxes, not to do my daily grind, but to just straight up have fun like i'm playing a console or PC game.
Definitely a fan of these. It's a good video structure for people who maybe don't have time to watch every new mobile game review you do and just summarizes it really quickly, and it also includes the games that have been previously ranked in past videos so those same people don't exactly miss out completely if they didn't see the past tier list video.
While I fell off that 7DS hype train hard after the first 2 weeks (too much mindless grinding for me), I don't think anyone can deny this is the new standard for how gacha games should feel and look. Arknights, while my preferred game of the year so far feels like it's stuck in 2016 by comparison.
Honestly the only grinding I really did was after I had beaten the 6 chapters of the story they released so far. I understand the whole grinding thing but it is netmarble as well as a gacha it’s to be expected from the genre. It’s still a fun game nonetheless. 7dsgc and arknights are the only games I have on my phone left after my purge
Wow! Finally an S tier!!! Well, I didn't play the game that much, but what I saw till now made me see how much effort this game has. The graphics (while some models are kind of strange), the soundtrack and the gameplay are all great and the little details in some animations of the models made me really enjoy the experience. This game deserves, at least, a try if you want to play a new gacha.

I agree that 7D is S tier, but not for everyone. While I like the presentation and the combat, I just cant get in the gameplay loop. I open the game, play some stages, but I loss interest in a few minutes. Anyway, great video as always!
I can see 7DS as S tier having played it since launch. There are a few issues with it (actual gacha is a bit cancer, grind heavy), but the game helps mitigate them (generous SSR ticket and gem handout, continuous play with sleep mode) and is quite outstanding in everything else it does.
Can you elaborate on the sleep mode thing? Like, "you can shut the game off and it won't drain your battery", or "you can leave it playing and set your phone down"?
I agree, it’s grind heavy but so far you don’t need very many ssr’s to beat the story. Well honestly you can beat it with the starter meliodas and the characters the story gives you which is great and they’re still useful afterwards so it’s super nice in that aspect

liked the vid for your position on the saint seiya game. for most mobile game players i would even go so far as to put it in the Don't category. it literally reuses the assets and music of soldier's soul, a 4+ year old console game, and it still has almost nothing to do but the dailies and few story missions. it's sad how Bandai treats their beloved ips. meanwhile, awakening had literally hours of content on day one and continues to add new things. Edit: Pvp still isnt up for shining soldiers more than two weeks after launch
Bandai is giving the same dragon ball legends launch vibe on this game, have good things on it but it's bland because it's just do the dailies and clean up the event. But to be honest, Awakening it's not treating the Ip any better, it's a whale game since the start and gtarcade mess up all the time with the community.
I'm still really loving Knighthood. It feels like the perfect amount of playtime on my phone, jump in and finish a battle in a few minutes. I've barely played 7DS because I want to watch all the story and cutscenes, but they take so damn long.

My problem with 7DS is the short battling and the long transition into another battle. I haven’t clocked it but it feels like 2 minutes of battling to 3-4 minutes of getting the next quest. Adding on the animation also takes time to get to your next quest. Don’t get me wrong. The animation looks awesome 👏🏽. However, I want to play a game not rewatch the series. I’d give it an A-or B+.

Always enjoy the tier list videos. However, I gotta say, I've been trying to get into 7DS, struggling to care, but it just hasn't been compelling. Part of it is just because I don't know these characters that fill out my party. If I've got free SSR heroes, of course, I'll use them; but who are they!? I think the combat is fine, but I guess I'm still so early in the game, it's super easy to just use auto. Also, the pig won't shut up with the tutorials, but I don't want to skip and miss something important. On top of that, I'm still playing Danmachi, Destiny Child, and Arknights! In those games, if I don't know a character, they at least look cool and aren't these Holy Knight jerks.
The thing is, even if you don't know the anime, you will know the characters because they will appear in story mode which is true to the anime. Not knowing the characters is no excuse and using your example, you also don't know who your party is in your arknights team if you don't pay attention to story... "They still look cool" You mean the chiBi style or the immovable artwork? Arknights is good but not for the reason you said..

Really enjoying 7DS so far. I'd probably put it on A tier instead of S due to that 0.5% featured unit rate in the gacha and to how grindy it can be, but... Damn, the visuals, the combat, the story mode, the ungeared PvP... Plus that infinite auto-repeat really helps mitigate the grind. I can see why FG put it on S tier. I think I'd move Shadow Seven up to a low B, tough. The combat is very deep - and quite different from anything else I played on mobile. Plus the game is pretty generous towards f2p players. And has a much more developed PvE mode than I'd normally expect from this genre. Fragment system, google-translated side-stories (there are A LOT of side-stories) and rumors that this game has already closed down on jp prevent me from putting it any higher, tough. I'd say if you like card/strategy/table-top games definitely give it a try, and enjoy it while it lasts, just don't invest too much into it and don't get attached. Enjoying My turn as well, playing it very casually. I agree with that B tier.
Not sure how to feel about arknights being at A while SIFAS being at B tier. Both are very unique games, there's no rythm game like SIFAS (since it's a rythm RPG). However, the game has lots of QOL features like skip tickets and autoplay (which really mitigates the usual grind of rhythm games since you don't need to manual songs over and over), 5% UR rates, event URs that have great art on par or even better than gacha UR and easy to get for even casual players and deep teambuilding where even R cards can be more useful than URs (at least for supporting purposes). There's also constant progression with accessories and inspirations. It's just one of the most polished games i've played and it actually respects your time, the dailies are cleared by your normal gameplay loop and you can rank events with minimal investment by spamming skips on songs. That combined with the music and the 3d animations during the songs just makes it a really good game, not an S tier one probably as it's not for everyone but it deserves A tier i think.
So I'm officially over Seven Deadly Sins cause of the grind but although I'm not usually into pixelated Dungeon RPGs just found one that has awesome graphics and gameplay so hope you cover it soon! Its called Guardian Tales and its so addictive!
Agreed for seven deadly sin. It's was the best gacha rpg game on mobile, chapter six is very challenging and I started to appreciate the story on this game rather than on anime series. I'm looking forward to chapter 7.

I like playing 7DSGC but still got it as a side game for now. With all the new contents and stuff on arknights, I kinda cant swap out their places on my list. Still a pair of great games if I do say so myself. Oh and yeah, that 3rd time release, franchise got yeeted outside the window real quick :feelsbadman: :^)
Same 7DS can't replace the fun I have with Arknights and how rewarding it feels on Arknights to progress and upgrade your units. Plus I dislike games with equipment, so 7DS loses points for me there.
How do you play arknights as a main game? You'd have to be a whale or at least someone who spends their currency on stamina to get more than 30 minutes of gameplay excluding annihilation
@@rinvalentine7108 I played it since the start and we received a lot of sanity. At some point I was over 2000. I understand for the newer players it's harder but you can still progress without whaling and the game is extremely f2p.
For 7DS, while I like it a lot, some things I'm not a fan of. 1. If KOFAS is anything to go by, the amount of ads may go up by a lot, I think it's alright now but who knows. 2. Having very small inventories you constantly have to upgrade the size of with gems is very annoying and tedious. 3. Crashes, the only game on my phone which randomly crashes. Still a very good game, but not an S imo, defo an A though.
The crashes must be on your end because I haven’t had a single crash on my phone yet with the game and the ads won’t be an issue unless they drastically change global from the JP version which I doubt they will

@@RhyllisLive There are arena ranks in E7 and I was able to reach Master by spending around 10-15$ but thats it. I was stuck in that league for a month and a half and I noticed my Guild mate was climbing ranks fast but he was only playing for about 4-5 months and I asked him what was his secret for climbing ranks fast and he said that he spends about a 100$ a month on this game and thats when I realized Im never going to get better characters and enough energy refreshes for better items if I dont whale so thats when I decided to quit.
@@mikewolf1791 Ah okay. Thanks for explaining it for me! Yeah, the PvP in 7DS has Geared (Whale Territory) and Gearless PvP (Much more F2P). Thankfully the gearless PvP is way more important of the two, so I'm still having fun. If you ever decide to give the game a shot, I hope you like it :).

I also played Brave Nine (previously Brown Dust) it had a Novice Arena PvP where you only get to deploy 4 stars unit and below and I think this is the closest game I've played to a gearless system. You still need meta units to win so you still gotta whale.

@@Gu3ssWhatsN3XT use Jericho with blue meliodas and benimaru if you have him. Holy shit do they get work done. Benimaru and jericho can debuff enemies and they all do 3x debuff damage. Not to mention meliodas and jericho have 2 of the best ultimates in the game, and full counter is the best stance if used properly. You either touch meliodas and get pounded or let him use full counter until he has his ultimate and his unique.

As a casual mobile gamer I gave up on everything I played for the most part, including Deadly Sins lol. Though for some reason I'm enjoying Castle Bane atm.
Well, 7DS is indeed a decent game. But, it is also obvious that all these gacha mobile games have something in common, FOMO mechanics via events, dailies etc. To be honest, it is actually difficult to derive pleasure from playing these games. No matter how subtle it is, all these events and dailies feel much more like trying to meet a deadline at work rather than play and have fun. More over, the shutting down of Mobius Final Fantasy reawakens me to the fact that these types of so called F2P games might not last and thus, any form of investment, time and/or money, might eventually gone to waste. Which is why I see myself stop playing gacha games in future.
Personally, turn-based 5v5/3v3 games turn me off so hard. Sure, instead of pressing skill buttons you have skill cards in 7DS, but might as well play candy crush. And Ads. Am I just missing something here?
Well you can turn off the whole ads thing. The game is extremely F2P friendly and there is some complexity to the combat system that you are missing. That being said, no, I don't think it deserves the S tier spot. Arknights is still more fun for me and I dislike any game that aside from pulling for new characters you also can pull for equipment and other stuff.
Zenon eh what? 7ds doesn’t do that. You pull characters only. Equipments has its own gacha but they are buyable in towns and farmable in free stages. Arknight looks too dated for me :s
@@zurielarts4650 But there is a gacha for equipment. Not only is equipment bad imo as a mechanic in mobile games, it's even worse when it's in gacha. Yes, there are other ways of getting it, but not only do I have to grind for materials to evolve my characters and level them, I have to also grind for equipment. And let's not talk about how when you evolve instead of getting more powerful your character's stats go down till you reach max level again, where you get a small upgrade, which makes the game even more grindy and feels less rewarding. At least Arknights gives you new skills, talents etc. which makes you feel like you have actually become stronger and the impact in game is also way more noticeable. Arknights in no way is it dated. I am sorry you have such an opinion of it. Maybe you didn't properly research what you can do in game and how to improve your experience in the game.
Zenon that equipment gacha is I dunno, it’s just there. Most people get the eqs from story quest. It’s not that hard really. You can also buy them from shop for just tiiiiiiny bit of money. 7d the only thing i dont like is the fact that it does not have a ticket system to auto repeat stages :I i hate the fact i have to fight the same stage over and over if it only have tickets i would get this done in a snap :I
You mean like auto clear stages? Because there’s an auto repeat button in the menu before you start a stage as well as one afterward during the fight at the top of the screen
I only played 7DS for like 3 hours. It's a good Gacha game, but it's still a gacha game. If you don't like the genre, or are already playing other similar games, it just doesn't offer that much, especially with that silly combat system.
I saw that S tier rating coming from a mile off. I honestly think SDS should get a free PC port like Langrisser. In a world of crappy developers like Bethesda, Blizzard, and bio, this is a great time to introduce a Fantastic mobile game.
Ok.. off the fence for me on 7DS... Although I was probably more swayed by the dancing Elizabeth ads that keep popping up... Watched the anime loved it but didn't feel like playing the game because I was afraid there are story line spoilers before the anime finished. Now I might try it
it's behind the anime so no worry with spoilers. The story mode hits the main beats and you get a good idea of what's going on so worth the play. Don't worry about story
Heyo FG, I had a question for you or anyone else in the comments that wants to make their suggestion, what emulator do you use (if you ever use one) for Seven deadly sins? it runs well on my phone but its a bit of a battery sink, and I spend more time that I would like leaving it on auto batle in the background to grind, being unable to use my phone, would love to switch it over to my PC but Ive never bothered to emulate any of my mobile games before this one, would love a suggestion for one thats decently user friendly that's not crashing alot on it, bonus points if it has any speed up features (If that's a thing, not sure if the games themselves allow something like that). Also just as an aside love your channel man, you have made keeping up with new mobile releases so much easier and made me realize how many games I missed out on cus I just didn't have good sources, also fellow Austinite here!
Bro just put low settings and enable power saving mode. It significantly reduces battery consumption, to the point that i can put on auto repeat the whole night with no charge. My phone has a standard 4000mah battery, so i think it will do wonders for most ppl too
Only game that tops 7DS, not in terms of presentation, but depth and strategy etc... Is SSA. PvP in 7DS is just too simplistic in comparison. But probably too painful to grind through Saint Seiya game starting now given where the meta is?

I agree, it’s grind heavy but so far you don’t need very many ssr’s to beat the story. Well honestly you can beat it with the starter meliodas and the characters the story gives you which is great and they’re still useful afterwards so it’s super nice in that aspect

7DS is so f2p friendly, but you have to learn some and be tactful not so rindy(cool auto repeat) that's a love for me. Interesting main and side quest (it's an anime). Cool Characters (Praise The sun)!

liked the vid for your position on the saint seiya game. for most mobile game players i would even go so far as to put it in the Don't category. it literally reuses the assets and music of soldier's soul, a 4+ year old console game, and it still has almost nothing to do but the dailies and few story missions. it's sad how Bandai treats their beloved ips. meanwhile, awakening had literally hours of content on day one and continues to add new things. Edit: Pvp still isnt up for shining soldiers more than two weeks after launch
Bandai is giving the same dragon ball legends launch vibe on this game, have good things on it but it's bland because it's just do the dailies and clean up the event.
But to be honest, Awakening it's not treating the Ip any better, it's a whale game since the start and gtarcade mess up all the time with the community.
I'm still really loving Knighthood. It feels like the perfect amount of playtime on my phone, jump in and finish a battle in a few minutes.
I've barely played 7DS because I want to watch all the story and cutscenes, but they take so damn long.

My problem with 7DS is the short battling and the long transition into another battle. I haven’t clocked it but it feels like 2 minutes of battling to 3-4 minutes of getting the next quest. Adding on the animation also takes time to get to your next quest. Don’t get me wrong. The animation looks awesome 👏🏽. However, I want to play a game not rewatch the series. I’d give it an A-or B+.

Always enjoy the tier list videos. However, I gotta say, I've been trying to get into 7DS, struggling to care, but it just hasn't been compelling. Part of it is just because I don't know these characters that fill out my party. If I've got free SSR heroes, of course, I'll use them; but who are they!? I think the combat is fine, but I guess I'm still so early in the game, it's super easy to just use auto. Also, the pig won't shut up with the tutorials, but I don't want to skip and miss something important. On top of that, I'm still playing Danmachi, Destiny Child, and Arknights! In those games, if I don't know a character, they at least look cool and aren't these Holy Knight jerks.
The thing is, even if you don't know the anime, you will know the characters because they will appear in story mode which is true to the anime.
Not knowing the characters is no excuse and using your example, you also don't know who your party is in your arknights team if you don't pay attention to story...

Really enjoying 7DS so far. I'd probably put it on A tier instead of S due to that 0.5% featured unit rate in the gacha and to how grindy it can be, but... Damn, the visuals, the combat, the story mode, the ungeared PvP... Plus that infinite auto-repeat really helps mitigate the grind. I can see why FG put it on S tier.
I think I'd move Shadow Seven up to a low B, tough. The combat is very deep - and quite different from anything else I played on mobile. Plus the game is pretty generous towards f2p players. And has a much more developed PvE mode than I'd normally expect from this genre. Fragment system, google-translated side-stories (there are A LOT of side-stories) and rumors that this game has already closed down on jp prevent me from putting it any higher, tough. I'd say if you like card/strategy/table-top games definitely give it a try, and enjoy it while it lasts, just don't invest too much into it and don't get attached.

Not sure how to feel about arknights being at A while SIFAS being at B tier. Both are very unique games, there's no rythm game like SIFAS (since it's a rythm RPG). However, the game has lots of QOL features like skip tickets and autoplay (which really mitigates the usual grind of rhythm games since you don't need to manual songs over and over), 5% UR rates, event URs that have great art on par or even better than gacha UR and easy to get for even casual players and deep teambuilding where even R cards can be more useful than URs (at least for supporting purposes). There's also constant progression with accessories and inspirations. It's just one of the most polished games i've played and it actually respects your time, the dailies are cleared by your normal gameplay loop and you can rank events with minimal investment by spamming skips on songs. That combined with the music and the 3d animations during the songs just makes it a really good game, not an S tier one probably as it's not for everyone but it deserves A tier i think.
My Turn should by on A, they have great devs, who listen ppl on discord, hope that this game will be release with great marketing:)

I like playing 7DSGC but still got it as a side game for now. With all the new contents and stuff on arknights, I kinda cant swap out their places on my list. Still a pair of great games if I do say so myself.

Same 7DS can't replace the fun I have with Arknights and how rewarding it feels on Arknights to progress and upgrade your units. Plus I dislike games with equipment, so 7DS loses points for me there.

How do you play arknights as a main game? You'd have to be a whale or at least someone who spends their currency on stamina to get more than 30 minutes of gameplay excluding annihilation
@@rinvalentine7108 I played it since the start and we received a lot of sanity. At some point I was over 2000. I understand for the newer players it's harder but you can still progress without whaling and the game is extremely f2p.

For 7DS, while I like it a lot, some things I'm not a fan of.
1. If KOFAS is anything to go by, the amount of ads may go up by a lot, I think it's alright now but who knows.
2. Having very small inventories you constantly have to upgrade the size of with gems is very annoying and tedious.
3. Crashes, the only game on my phone which randomly crashes.
Still a very good game, but not an S imo, defo an A though.
The crashes must be on your end because I haven’t had a single crash on my phone yet with the game and the ads won’t be an issue unless they drastically change global from the JP version which I doubt they will

@@RhyllisLive There are arena ranks in E7 and I was able to reach Master by spending around 10-15$ but thats it. I was stuck in that league for a month and a half and I noticed my Guild mate was climbing ranks fast but he was only playing for about 4-5 months and I asked him what was his secret for climbing ranks fast and he said that he spends about a 100$ a month on this game and thats when I realized Im never going to get better characters and enough energy refreshes for better items if I dont whale so thats when I decided to quit.

Yeah, the PvP in 7DS has Geared (Whale Territory) and Gearless PvP (Much more F2P). Thankfully the gearless PvP is way more important of the two, so I'm still having fun.

I also played Brave Nine (previously Brown Dust) it had a Novice Arena PvP where you only get to deploy 4 stars unit and below and I think this is the closest game I've played to a gearless system. You still need meta units to win so you still gotta whale.

They have costumes event / the other version of the character costumes. These costumes give you extra stats

I've just got into seven deadly sins grand cross like 2 days ago and already got blue sr Jericho to UR and shes been putting in a lot of work. I am really loving this game and have been trying to put in the effort to get good characters to use
The green ssr Jericho is godly with decent gear. Man there are so many good units on global right now. Even better when they start releasing the ones they have on jp
@@Gu3ssWhatsN3XT use Jericho with blue meliodas and benimaru if you have him. Holy shit do they get work done. Benimaru and jericho can debuff enemies and they all do 3x debuff damage. Not to mention meliodas and jericho have 2 of the best ultimates in the game, and full counter is the best stance if used properly. You either touch meliodas and get pounded or let him use full counter until he has his ultimate and his unique.

7DS is another grinding , meta based game. The only thing about it , is combat system.... I mean , be real here guys .
As a casual mobile gamer I gave up on everything I played for the most part, including Deadly Sins lol. Though for some reason I'm enjoying Castle Bane atm.
Well, 7DS is indeed a decent game. But, it is also obvious that all these gacha mobile games have something in common, FOMO mechanics via events, dailies etc. To be honest, it is actually difficult to derive pleasure from playing these games. No matter how subtle it is, all these events and dailies feel much more like trying to meet a deadline at work rather than play and have fun. More over, the shutting down of Mobius Final Fantasy reawakens me to the fact that these types of so called F2P games might not last and thus, any form of investment, time and/or money, might eventually gone to waste. Which is why I see myself stop playing gacha games in future.

Well you can turn off the whole ads thing. The game is extremely F2P friendly and there is some complexity to the combat system that you are missing. That being said, no, I don't think it deserves the S tier spot. Arknights is still more fun for me and I dislike any game that aside from pulling for new characters you also can pull for equipment and other stuff.
Zenon eh what? 7ds doesn’t do that. You pull characters only. Equipments has its own gacha but they are buyable in towns and farmable in free stages.

@@zurielarts4650 But there is a gacha for equipment. Not only is equipment bad imo as a mechanic in mobile games, it's even worse when it's in gacha. Yes, there are other ways of getting it, but not only do I have to grind for materials to evolve my characters and level them, I have to also grind for equipment. And let's not talk about how when you evolve instead of getting more powerful your character's stats go down till you reach max level again, where you get a small upgrade, which makes the game even more grindy and feels less rewarding. At least Arknights gives you new skills, talents etc. which makes you feel like you have actually become stronger and the impact in game is also way more noticeable. Arknights in no way is it dated. I am sorry you have such an opinion of it. Maybe you didn't properly research what you can do in game and how to improve your experience in the game.
Zenon that equipment gacha is I dunno, it’s just there. Most people get the eqs from story quest. It’s not that hard really. You can also buy them from shop for just tiiiiiiny bit of money. I dunno but I feel like you deliberately want to make it sound like a bad thing when it’s not a problem in the first place. And btw I didn’t research about the game, I played Arknight for a while, I actually played it, unlike you who might be just researching 7DS. And I’m sorry but Arknights really looks dated compared to 7DS. Arknights just look like those flash games I found in middle school.

7d the only thing i dont like is the fact that it does not have a ticket system to auto repeat stages :I i hate the fact i have to fight the same stage over and over if it only have tickets i would get this done in a snap :I
You mean like auto clear stages? Because there’s an auto repeat button in the menu before you start a stage as well as one afterward during the fight at the top of the screen

I only played 7DS for like 3 hours. It's a good Gacha game, but it's still a gacha game. If you don't like the genre, or are already playing other similar games, it just doesn't offer that much, especially with that silly combat system.
That SDS going to S tier was very predictable. It was the last game but it belongs there. :)

I saw that S tier rating coming from a mile off. I honestly think SDS should get a free PC port like Langrisser. In a world of crappy developers like Bethesda, Blizzard, and bio, this is a great time to introduce a Fantastic mobile game.
Ok.. off the fence for me on 7DS... Although I was probably more swayed by the dancing Elizabeth ads that keep popping up... Watched the anime loved it but didn't feel like playing the game because I was afraid there are story line spoilers before the anime finished. Now I might try it
it's behind the anime so no worry with spoilers. The story mode hits the main beats and you get a good idea of what's going on so worth the play. Don't worry about story

Heyo FG, I had a question for you or anyone else in the comments that wants to make their suggestion, what emulator do you use (if you ever use one) for Seven deadly sins? it runs well on my phone but its a bit of a battery sink, and I spend more time that I would like leaving it on auto batle in the background to grind, being unable to use my phone, would love to switch it over to my PC but Ive never bothered to emulate any of my mobile games before this one, would love a suggestion for one thats decently user friendly that's not crashing alot on it, bonus points if it has any speed up features (If that's a thing, not sure if the games themselves allow something like that).

Bluestacks is a great emulator, i found noxplayer would crash a lot with 7DS, whereas Bluestacks is more stable
Bro just put low settings and enable power saving mode. It significantly reduces battery consumption, to the point that i can put on auto repeat the whole night with no charge. My phone has a standard 4000mah battery, so i think it will do wonders for most ppl too
Only game that tops 7DS, not in terms of presentation, but depth and strategy etc... Is SSA. PvP in 7DS is just too simplistic in comparison. But probably too painful to grind through Saint Seiya game starting now given where the meta is?
