Jim McKeever of Derry, he was player of the year in 1958, lived near Brian McGuigan funnily enough. Also Sean O'Connell former Derry captain, he played for about 20 years between late 50s and late 70s, he played in the 1958 final.
McDonald was an absolute joy to watch, sweetest striker of the ball I've ever seen
He was brilliant as a Meath man I hated him but met him one time and I have to say the nicest fella you could meet. But what a footballer and was badly treated at the time by Mayo
Mattie ford was one of the best footballer's I ever seen.
In a couple of years you could literally make the whole list out mayo boys if they don't hurry up and win

No harm tp anyone but Benny Coulter of Down should be on this list. Look at how many times he was easily Irelands best player on the international rules team. The only time the players around him decided to pull their fingers out Down nearly won the All Ireland with him the main man. And hes the highest goal scorer in the history of the Ulster championship.

Roscommon won Connacht in 1980 as well and made it to the all Ireland but lost
