But they’re going to have to hit a home run with these relaunches if they want to win back X-Men fans that abandoned them during this latest era, and my feeling is that these offerings are not going to pull it off. They need a high spectacle return to form for the X-Men with top level creators and this is NOT that.
I will never forgive Gerry Duggan for turning Kitty Pryde in a cold blooded murderer.It's so painful to see her going full Wolverine mode and killing people without remorse or guilty. This just don't are in your character. Krakoa Era did irreparable damage to the franchise in my opinion. How these characters can be heroes again? I don't have any hope to this relaunch.
Agreed. This was the same character who was reluctant to work with shield because she was concerned about the morality of being a spy. The Krakoan era just bends characters and even their powers to suit whatever the writer wants from them without respect to canon or continuity.
@@linesonpaper1245 I agree. The X-Men are currently acting in a way that is almost indistinguishable from the Dark X-Men team that was created at the start of Fall of X. Our longtime heroes are no different in how they deal with conflict than sociopathic villains like Madelyne Pryor, Emplate, Zero and Azazel... I might go as far as to say that they are actually acting worse than them.
The entirety of Marvel main universe needs a reset, not just the mutant books. Seems the whole company is doing their best to fail, and they're doing a good job of that, if that's their goal.

I have. I really enjoyed the Ultimate Universe One Shot and I’m looking forward to The Ultimates. I really like the new Ultimate Spiderman. Black Panther I thought was interesting, but after a few issues it wasn’t holding my attention enough for me to keep buying it. I thought that The Ultimate X-men was a really different tale on the X-Men and while I appreciated it for what it was, it just wasn’t for me.

You enjoy it I read ultimate x-men(2024) first, I am in the camp that I like uxm, the unique take on x-men intrigues me, and I read both ultimate invasion and ultimate universe one-shot to prepare for the ultimates. I will wait for issue 7 on ultimate spider-man (2024) and issue 6 on ultimate black panther to binge them.
After the Korkoian era, I would've cooled it on the X-Men for a bit and relaunch with *one* book.
I agree. Make one book with a “back to basics” approach to the X-Men showcasing one core team of popular characters.
