I used to get many comic books-but I haven't got any new ones in years. I still have all the old comic books I've bought and collected, but they were from a different era.

Looking back on this with all that's going on after Zeb's run is over. Uncanny.

This is a very derivative review. It reeks of an older man bitter that comics aren’t the same way as they were when he was younger. In a way, I get it. X-Men peaked in the Utopian era for me, my teen years. There’s a bitterness that’s present throughout the video that comes off as super corny. That’s ignoring how silly some of the points are. Talking about how the “old” ideas/concepts from the Krakoan era aren’t completely dusted while also wanting X-Men to be extremely similar to how they were in the Claremont era is such a funny, but conflicting point to make. I don’t even hate the video. There’s just so many that feel exactly the same.

That’s a pretty ass line up. So that’s Kid Omega, but who is on the far left, and who is crawling around Beast’s feet? I’m SO fucking out of date here. And is Juggernaut still flipping between good and bad even though he’s not even a fucking mutant?!

Ok guy, I think this review is a little harsh. I don't think you're seeing the big picture. I didn't read most of Krokoa, but here's my understanding: This particular X-Men group are the known terrorists and assassins, who cannot rejoin society, that's why they are in Alaska... This Beast is a clone who has never lived on Krokoa, has no memory of it, so he represents the pre-krakoa philosophy, while Magneto is still Magneto, so that will be a point of internal drama, and Cyclops will be pulled between the two. They can't just hard reboot the X-Men. Rome wasn't built in a day, you gotta let it cook.

Keep in mind the X-Men are what the left and the Kool-Aid haired people used to identify themselves with. They see themselves as the outcasts and the great people who can make the world a better place if only people would stop persecuting them. So you're not reading the original characters you're reading what the left would like the X-Men to be

Jed McKay has never been a good writer (he's okay, especially in the context of current Marvel.) But taking an okay writer, and having him badly overworked is a recipe for disaster. They should have taken him off some assignments months and months ago to at least have a chance of his X-men being a badly needed sort of okay X title.

The entirety of Marvel main universe needs a reset, not just the mutant books. Seems the whole company is doing their best to fail, and they're doing a good job of that, if that's their goal.

Oooo actually that could be a good story the main character can actually be the villain and when shes the villain she gets into a fight with the entire justice league and gets defeated NOT EASILY but surely by her mother and her teammates this can be a great story for mandy to be the antagonist kinda like a hero turned evil type thing and that they will change her character to be better and stronger

this whole thing is EXTREMELY easy to understand. Self insert, power fantasy, narcicist fanfiction. Why does the character do anything, say anything, or want anything? because thats what the writer wants. Why can she mary sue plot armor win angainst anything with no effort? because self indulgent power fantasy, Why does anyone indulge her or like her or even just stand to be around such a mean bitch? because narcicist ego trip.

Yeah this series was pretty disgusting. The problem is we have imbalanced people trying to write superhero comics, so we end up getting mixed messages. When Jim Starlin wrote Thanos, he was written as a villain - there was never any doubt that he was the bad guy. You as the reader still liked Thanos - you thought he was interesting, a cut above the usual world-dominating bad guy, but you were never in doubt that he was the villain and his actions sucked. There's a big different between Nature Girl and Thanos - no comparison

Valiant started off on the right foot, but had been tripping over their show laces ever since. 😞 Ain't going to name names, but there were others who climbed aboard, who ruined all of this just fine. Doesn't look like they are going to climb back up from this one.

I will never forgive Gerry Duggan for turning Kitty Pryde in a cold blooded murderer.It's so painful to see her going full Wolverine mode and killing people without remorse or guilty. This just don't are in your character. Krakoa Era did irreparable damage to the franchise in my opinion. How these characters can be heroes again? I don't have any hope to this relaunch.

I don't believe that digital apps have helped any to be honest. Back in the day, an artist had to be able to draw and ink by hand, end of. You know, they had to be talented and dedicated. They had to be able to handle an ink brush and couldn't rely on tracing around 3D models in Clip Studio etc. A lot of people who have entered the industry I don't believe would've made the grade back then, and while technology helps practically anyone to produce superficially impressive, slick results, it can't replace that magic X factor which resides in the hand of a living, talented human artist. I think if the studios banned their artists from using tech initially it would weed out a lot of the lazy, mediocre dead wood.

The “door”(which is an open doorway with no actual door for some reason) is actually directly behind Batgirl, the darker bit in the bottom-left is the inside edge of the doorway, which is clearer in the full page since this panel actually extends down further behind the next few smaller panels. What appears to be the door at the top of the panel is I guess just a weird wall-design, while the rod is actually the shower curtain pole, which is just sticking straight out of the wall with no anchor point on this side for some reason (this also means the curtain 100% only covers one side, even _if_ it looked long enough). The floor is probably just a weird pattern on the flooring, as opposed to a rug, considering the inner-most rectangle is the same color and texture as the outer edge, so unless it’s a frame-shaped rug or one with a center that perfectly matches the actual bathroom floor… Also the reason it’s so big is because this is actually the bathroom of a penthouse apartment of the hacker dude pretending to be Oracle that Batgirl and the Birds of Prey were dealing with in that comic. Still lots of problems like the plunger sitting on the floor and the aforementioned curtain and terrible aesthetic, but some of the major issues aren’t as much of a problem in context.

As someone who can't stand Mary Jane, I'd say Team Black Cat! I'd go Gwen Stacy, but Gerry Conway HAD to throw her off a bridge!

I hate calypso and that she got away. At least have Wolverine or Ghost Rider fuck her up. I mean it’s cool Wolverine and Ghost Rider target worst of the worst offenders but because the comic gave emphasis on Calypso I took her more seriously then the throw away low lives Wolverine and Ghost Rider fucked up in this run why couldn’t they have fucked up Calypso too? First and foremost, great video! You had me laughing so hard when you were going over the second book lol 😂 I have read the action comics backstories and immediately thought it was absolute garbage. From the dialogue, the story, the art = garbage. Then the special came out and it was still garbage. I still put myself through the pain of getting the first issue and immediately regretted it after reading it. No more wasting my hard earned money on a story that assassinated my Kryptonian queen.
