And her cleans are incredible, as is her ability to inhabit nearly any vocal style and sing it as if it was the one thing she does. The growls are called false cord growls and are not produced by the vocal cords but by the vestibular folds (aka false folds, or false cords - hence the name). She spent 4 years learning the technique and has been performing with growls for over a decade, constantly improving her technique. Her cleans keep getting better too. She can go even deeper, too. The very best guys can go even lower, but those are big dudes and a bigger instrument naturally produces a deeper sound. For her ability to express emotion through her growls though, Tatiana is second to none. The guys are all superb on their instruments. Eugene is one of the best bass players in metal. Vlad is a classically trained pianist and plays guitar as well as being a phenomenal drummer here. Roman is the least showy as a performer but is an endless fount of incredibly diverse guitar riffs and a key part of what makes Jinjer's sound possible. There are at least a dozen songs I'd call their best work, and another dozen that are somewhere up there, and the rest are still good and I see people saying songs I'm not that fond of are their favorites. Really no bad songs from this band. I'd say for the next look at their work to do the video they released 2 weeks ago, a one-take vocal recording of Tatiana doing Judgement & Punishment. Incidentally, the Philippines was the first east Asian nation they performed in. Cheers!

I started listening to metal on a regular basis about two years ago. Jinjer was one of the bands that cemented what was an in progress interest to a fully locked in love of the genre. Tatiana and Corey Taylor of Slipknot are the singers I credit with me learning to love growling vocals. Seeing and hearing their excellent clean vocals and then the devastating screams and growls back to back really is one of the best ways to learn how skilled metal vocalists are.
I've seen dozens of these and it's always the same. No matter what they expect, it's not THAT. They are shocked, scared, surprised, but then they start vibing to it, jamming out, and still can't figure it out. It took me listening to this song dozens upon dozens of times to get over the cognitive dissonance that is her voice. My brain just did not compute it. Even now it still fascinates me. An amazing artist for sure!

The chills are a great thing!!! In all my years, I've had maybe a dozen artists give me chills. The bulk of them have become favorites. I've been listening to Jinjer for about 6 months and still get chills. I knew from about the time I heard my third song of theirs that I'd be hooked. Pisces is not nearly their best from either her or the band members. Tatiana can be both far more melodic and far more brutal. The rabbit hole is deep and varied. The fanbase is rabid. Really thinking the perfect second reaction for you would be "I Speak Astronomy". Loved it, SUBBING

I am amazed this is still a first reaction thing for anyone who is in the reactor realm and to not have seen something about them. But I guess it's possible. I still enjoy the shock at the dichotomy of her range. She's like 5 nothing and 110 lbs soaking wet and this power and stability on both ends of the spectrum are just flawless and looks effortless. Amazing talent out of Ukraine! I think that a lot of their fan base has come out of the exposure they've had here on RUclips who would have never heard them otherwise. They have actually been around for several years, but they've flooded reactor's channels and YT in general in the last year or so. Hope they are reaping some benefit from it. Love them! The other one that has also done this lately is NightWish. You did Phantom with Tarja. She is fine, but Floor kills it across the board and the band is awesome always and I think better off with her (look at any of the Wacken performances, her stage presence is glorious). She does Phantom with Henk Poort (who played the lead in many stage performances) on Best Zangers that just kills.
vocally, Tatiana is a chameleon crossed with a dragon. She can do basically any style of singing except probably opera, or some other really specialized styles that just take years and years of training and practice to perform.
I'm forgetting their names, but the vocalists of Draconian, and the one that sang for leaves eyes and theater of tragedy are very good. That said, none of them come close to Tatiana.

Pisces is not nearly their best from either her or the band members. Tatiana can be both far more melodic and far more brutal. The rabbit hole is deep and varied. The fanbase is rabid. Really thinking the perfect second reaction for you would be "I Speak Astronomy".

The band is called Jinjer and the young lady's name is Tatyana. Young lady, your surpise expression was priceless and cute, which isn't hard for of course. Tatyana is a very talented singer who has the ability to both sing clean and use the fry scream to emphasize a point in the song. Also, the word "Pisces" is pronounced "pie-sees." It was a teachable moment I guess.:) Now your next adventure into the Jinjer rabbit hole should be "Teacher Teacher."

I am amazed this is still a first reaction thing for anyone who is in the reactor realm and to not have seen something about them. But I guess it's possible. I still enjoy the shock at the dichotomy of her range. She's like 5 nothing and 110 lbs soaking wet and this power and stability on both ends of the spectrum are just flawless and looks effortless. Amazing talent out of Ukraine! I think that a lot of their fan base has come out of the exposure they've had here on RUclips who would have never heard them otherwise. They have actually been around for several years, but they've flooded reactor's channels and YT in general in the last year or so. Hope they are reaping some benefit from it. Love them! The other one that has also done this lately is NightWish. You did Phantom with Tarja. She is fine, but Floor kills it across the board and the band is awesome always and I think better off with her (look at any of the Wacken performances, her stage presence is glorious). She does Phantom with Henk Poort (who played the lead in many stage performances) on Best Zangers that just kills.

vocally, Tatiana is a chameleon crossed with a dragon. She can do basically any style of singing except probably opera, or some other really specialized styles that just take years and years of training and practice to perform.
I'm forgetting their names, but the vocalists of Draconian, and the one that sang for leaves eyes and theater of tragedy are very good. That said, none of them come close to Tatiana.
