Not even 16 yet, yet here I am gawking over how gorgeous these Classic cars are, especially this one. And it's not just the color, just all the characteristics all together that makes it unique & like no other to me.

Gorgeous car. In the 1970s, you could pick one up for under $1000.00 but expect to pay 50-60 times (or more) that amount today.

My dad had one of these in a hard top version. Canary Yellow with a black top. Super retro!

In 1960 I inherited a '56 Lincoln coupe. Wisteria bottom/white top. Matching all leather interior. Absolutely gorgeous car then, incredibly sexy styling today. These cars were so beautiful and came in a huge array of colors. Real showstoppers even back then, but now I imagine few people have ever seen one in person. I'm amazed that so few have survived. And the ones that have are too pricey for me. Great memories. And gasoline was only $.23/gal!

My father was a Lincoln mechanic at a Palm Beach dealership in the fifties & early sixties. I have a shop manual and a plaque my Dad left me.he used to bring these cars home a lot, as mechanics back then would drive them to troubleshoot. I fell in love with them but ended up owning Pontiac's due to the price & rarity of this car. I do agree that it is my favorite car and if this guy needs an extra right arm , I'm trading.

A truly beautifully restored and maintained car. And the exterior color is definitely a 50's hue. My grandfather had a '57 Buick Roadmaster Riviera in pink. Shame we don't have the same color options today. Silvers and greys, black, white, blue, maybe a tan, and an extra cost color option, pretty slim pickings.

the '56 is the design-type of this baby ... the '57 sort of lost it with the "stuck-on" fins and Quad-lights ... and trying to keep up with "trends." I still have my dad's 1956 Mark II and that was pure design too. Best is to avoid "trends" and put out a singular design.

It's almost unreal to think that these cars when they got old & were junked. If it survived past the 1970s then maybe it had a chance. I remember seeing one of these in a junkyard in 1968 & even then I thought what a horrible sight to see it there. I was lucky in that being from Arizona, these 50's beauties were still in daily use well into the 70s & 80s (no rust problem)

Absolutely stunning! Style, grace elligance, the right color combo. It's all right there in your 1956 Lincoln! As a little kid, I had always admired that body style. There is a vintage photo of actress Jane Russell poseing on the back fender of one. I wish you would have put the top down but either way. she is a beauty to see. Thank you for sharing. Juliea Mead on the Ed Sullivan show said it best . For Lincoln truly is, the Finest of the fine car field!

In 1973,I saw one of these for sale at the local used car lot. same color but they wanted $400 for it ! If was super clean. But i did not have $400, so I bought a 1956 Ford Customline for $150. Drove it for 14 yrs. sold it for $150.

Wisteria. I love when they find the perfect name for a color.
