- Arthur's journal in red dead redemption 2 is so much more than JUST more Lore. It is how to add more to the character, the story, the world and our journey as players....just a small appreciation video.

Small appreciation video. Not just for Arthur’s journal. But to every game that has more interesting facts and trivia for you to find. What game do you think does something like this best?
in the beginning of chapter 6 Arthur mentions how he's always longed for death and that he understands its coming and this part always stuck with me specifically
One of my favorite quotes from his journal is “I know that the only enemy that remains, is one I cannot put a bullet into.”
I'm in Chapter VI, slowly hyping myself for the epic final fights and preparing for the tragic ending to Arthur's story, and I accidentally pressed "J" after the mission where Eagle Flies ambushed the Army and Dutch and Arthur had to jump off a cliff. I saw this entry on his journal about his thoughts with Mary's last letter (a letter of goodbye, if you will) and it legit made my eye teary. I had to step back and ease my way into the ending.
Arthurs Journal is one of my favorite things in the whole game
it inspired me to have my own journal
@@pedroroque829 Thats awesome man :3 How long are you using it?
@@spyrow9957 Since January 2019. I try to write on it at least once or twice every week
@@pedroroque829 Thats awesome!
Have a good one o/
@@spyrow9957 Thank you, you too!
It's funny I just came across this video because I just restarted a fresh playthrough of RDR2 last night with kinda the same thing in mind, to read Arthur's journal completely and read through it as I play as him. Something important to keep in mind for anyone else doing this, explore as much as you can as Arthur because his sketches are way better than John's and I'm pretty sure Arthur writes more in depth than John as well.
I felt so connected to Arthur when I knew this was a thing. I’ve journaled for as long as I remembered so this was everything to me.
Rdr2 and tlou2 both have journals. One feels like they saw the other do it and tried to badly copy it like homework
Would you recommend TLOU
@@garrettneukam2588 TLOU 1 is amazing, def play it, TLOU 2 gameplay is improved and great but story is kinda shit
@@JarringSteaku don’t understand the story if u saying it’s shit
@@JarringSteak It’s not shit, it’s just disappointing. Especially considering how it is the sequel to one of the greatest story games.
@@takeover2159 Lol, that old chestnut? It's shit, and so's that fly episode of Breaking Bad. We all understand it, it's just bad
Arthur is hands down the greatest character in video game history, so well fleshed out I mourned him and felt his loss like I’d lost a friend, one who I had to watch die every step of the way, I miss him, and his journals brought me all the more closer to him (call it corny whatever, I don’t much care)
Love the videos keep it up
i love the vids
Could u do a deep analysis of hosea as an individual or jack love the vids
me and my nana watched this together. she didn’t enjoy it as much as me but she doesn’t understand the plot so
Arthur I have a plan
dude, you really need to make a video on Jack Marston. His tale is so tragic and I really feel you'd do it justice and I'd love to hear your thoughts!

You should play the Ryu Ga Gotoku series or at least Yakuza 0
It’s been 6 years?
Honestly rude to RDR2 to compare it to TLOU, which is more or less just a bunch of cutscenes with fighting between.
TLOU is what RDR2 is often wrongly accused of being.
Yea fr, comparing the two games is silly. They’re explore different topics totally, and they’re world building/story structures are so different from everything else on the market right now
how is it rude? did the guy invade your house? kill your entire family? robbed all of your personal belongings?
Wow, you're amazing at exaggerating. Keep up the bad examples, King❤
Stay on subject bro
