Well King Diamond I believe was one of the founding members of Mercyful Faith a great 80s metal band after the band broke up he carried on as KD now believe this he is 60 yrs old and can see still hit the high notes. One of the true original TRAILBLAZZERS!!!!!

Before the Lockdowns happened the last concert I attended was King Diamond (with Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats as the opener as if seeing the King wasn't amazing enough!). I took my phone out for the middle part of this song when he changes his vocals to the lower, growling vocals and everything turns red. I uploaded it to my Instagram and just wrote "Pure Unadulterated Evil!"

Awesome! I have been a huge fan of King Diamond and his other band Mercyful Fate since my early years in the 80's! With King Diamond, each album is a concept horror story, best heard from start to finish! King/Fate and Nightwish are my tied for my #1 favorite bands! 🤘
Guitar players... shred pretty much beyond belief....Drummer... literally the best I've heard... the Singer... Mind absolutely blown... I remember that same feeling listening to this album more 20 years ago... a masterpiece..

Greatest metal vocalist and he is always surrounded by the best musicians. This is probably my favorite line up for his solo band. And as one of the other comments said, Andy LaRocque is so underrated and Andy/Mike Wead together are a duo that can stand up there with the best of them Downing/Tipton, Hanneman/King, Smith/Murray, Peterson/Skolnick and of course King's original Mercyful Fate bandmates Shermann/Denner (or Shermann/Wead).

I went to a few gigs with this guy as a teenager, not much has changed.
Hopefully you realize Kind Diamond was 67 at the time of this recording you reviewed. His mastery of his vocals at that time in his life is amazing.
Let alone his story telling. All his albums tell a story, except Them and Conspiracy, that’s a two parter.
He’s the old school Stephen King of metal.

Hey guys i saw King Diamond with Abigail album in the 80"s in Corpus Christi, Tx. along with Savatage.
Kings been Rocking this style since the early 80s, Mercyful Fate ( Melissa 1983). And still hitting them notes at 60yrs of age.. God mode!!

You should check the old stuff from them, like the "The Graveyard" Album, he's telling a story over the entire album and his voice really sells the story. His type of singing is pretty "unique" for sure. Be sure to check the colab track called "In the fire" by Roadrunner United

king Diamond w/ Mercyful Fate used to rehearse next o Metallica and Metallica always remembered how badass these guys are. There's video's of King Diamond joining Metallica on stage and performing a few songs with them. You should check it out.

I don't know if I told you two I got to see King in 2014 at The Moore Theater in Seattle. One of the best live shows I've ever been to. It was so surreal. I was like holy fuck King Diamond live.

King Diamond has a bit of Rob Halford, Lemmy, and a dash of Dave Mustaine in his voice. The fact that he can go through all those vocal ranges is incredible. On top of all that, he's like in his 50's or 60's here right? That is badass.

And if you listen to the album The eye that is also a whole story and it is an authentic story from France in the year 1642. Ah yes heavy metal from my native country, Denmark. Kim Bendix Petersen as his birthname is but better known as King Diamond. Those were the times, when we had heavy metal in Denmark. Unfortunately after Lovebeat there hasn`t been anything worth mentioning on that scene.
