I have some issues with J.B. Jordan though. If you read Mattheiu Pageau's book on Biblical Symbolism, his arguments and examples make a ton more sense than many of JB Jordan's takes. In fact, when I was reading "Through New Eyes" it felt as if I'm reading a reconstructionist calvinist take on symbolism. It was halfway good, halfway cringeworthy, in my book.

There's very little Calvinism in Jordan's work, especially the further you go on in time. Increasingly so. The Pageau brothers' takes the Theopolis stuff largely dovetails nicely.
