It looks bad ass, but that is something you never want on your vehicle. 1: It makes a really bad drag and really messes with your driving especially driving high speed over 35 mph, and it effects your gas mileage big time. And 2: It is illegal to have a bumper or plow like that on your vehicle
@@MKD1101 I can take a rough guess as to the 2 reasons. 1) they are heavy, I mean real heavy (decent one would be afew hundred kg minimum). Adding that weight alone lowers gas mileage, but because of were it is on the vehicle it affects the balance, at higher speeds that noticeably affects handling and can create uncomfortable vibrations due to the extra weight on the front suspension. 2) because they are basically designed to cause damage and have essentially no legitimate legal use when its carefully considered, they are basically just a modern battering ram. You don't need to be able to push things out of your way on public roads, since there is nothing your allowed to push (ignore snow for the moment) that doesn't belong to someone else meaning you'd be destroying others property. Now as for snow, a plow has to be carefully calibrated to not actually touch the road surface (damages it and likely the vehicle), the snow that's plowed must also be moved in such a way as not to cause damage or endanger other road users. Also they are in design significantly different from a snow plow. Also some places require a specific permit to have a plow fitted to your vehicle, and all require your insurance company to be notified. The only vehicles fitted with this type of device in reality tend to be military, and that's because they actually intend to use it as a battering ram.
It's not the worst idea to go to Tallahassee during the zombie apocalypse. Lots of fresh water via springs, good weather, not a terribly big population, fairly 0rotected from natural disasters. I know there's some deer hunting around here, but not as much as other places, so food might be tight.
