jasusss well done
We where right behind you coming up the shipping channel. The little micro storm caught us right in between redfish and the spoil pile. We docked at Marina del Sol for some protection from the wind.
Oh yeah that little one hit just after we passed redfish, so y'all were close! How did Marina del Sol do?
Legend Point wasn't to bad...we weathered the storm that hit us at it's hardest at 4:00am. We came through without any issues. Several boats here had headsails shredded, the docks were about 2' under water.
So glad you two came out of it safely. Keep posting, we're watching and enjoying.
Enjoyed it! We were on a sailboat too during the storm, but did not record nearly as much! lol
Glad y'all made it through!
Glad to see yall are still out there doing it. ❤ Proud of you James. Keep chasing dreams man.
Thanks buddy.
There were a lot of folks who didn't take this storm seriously here in Portofino and paid for it with ripped headsails, mangled bimini frames and missing canvas. Some boats weren't secured well, broke loose, and had to be corralled by neighbors who didn't want their own boats damaged. One was even hanging on by nothing but it's electrical cord.
Enjoyed meeting yall when I was down a couple months ago getting a bottom job done. So glad to hear you guys made it thru with minimal damage!
Keep the videos coming!

Definitely two sides of the coin- nice to be tied up in a slip with lots of lines, but now you’re trapped super close to LOTS of other boats! 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Good to hear from you!
Glad to see you guys made it home safely. I just returned from Tennessee with Covid-19 making it difficult to get ready for the storm. The Catalina 36 did better than the dock. The CT-54 got a little dock rash and now the Marina wants all of us to move out . Know any place in Galveston that can handle a 54 ft Ketch.
Have you tried the galveston yacht club marina? @willrupley2253
THIS is what it looks like to ride out a Hurricane while living aboard! It goes to show- it's not for the faint of heart!
No sleep, constant adjustments & it's so Loud!
I remember seeing jellyfish swim down the docks!
But we live to tell the tale of the storm & we learn something every time. ♡
I'm glad you're showing those diagrams & little tidbits of info that always makes me miss your Class! ❤And i recognized Capt Robert's voice on the radio, checking on yall🥰🙏🫡🫶 i love that!
But dare i say- yall should've stayed Here lol 😆 😂
Galveston didn't do quite as badly as the mainland.
I said what i said. Lol
But what a Wild Ride that was!
-Bravo James on that generator modification! 🫡
-love the ending, Chewy didnt want to leave the shrimp boat lol
Great account…
Thank you for posting
Thanks for watching!
i wanted to make it into one of yalls videos, but not quite like this
What part of Oklahoma are you from ? My wife grew up around Madill. We learnt to sail on Oolagah because we lived in Bartlesville.
I’m from the DC area and James grew up near Ft Worth, but we have family near the Texas/Oklahoma border now. I grew up sailing in the Chesapeake Bay. Are y’all still sailing?
@@svcoddiwomple we are currently sailing in Florida
@@svcoddiwomplewe kept a sailboat on Lake Texhoma (Oklahoma side) for years, had to sell when I retired and took a job that landed me in Colorado. Left Colorado (thank God) in 2016 for East Texas, we’ve been talking about buying a SV we can do the great loop and keep somewhere along the Texas gulf coast.
