When we lived in the small town of Biscay Minnesota, the Mayor was voted in 6 to 1; he was a cross-road trucker who was written in by the six as a joke, but he was a great Mayor for several terms, excellent classic Coca-Cola Santa Claus, whose wife made popcorn balls at Halloween you could trust to eat.
My kids told everyone Mrs. Claus made them popcorn balls for Trick or Treat. Fantastical but true.
