Emma is spot on regarding the need to clean up execution around the penalty box. I lost count of how many point blank shots U.S. had. Should have been 3 or 4 goals with all those chances.
Questions too easy. Distribution out the back was shaky at times - midfield was too static in the buildup and Naeher’s distribution was perilous at times. It was clear we are not used to being pressed.
I'm 55 years old watching this team that long,I wish them nothing but the best but if they don't finish their chances they be coming home early just like world cup.
This young team is a work in progress. They are quite good but not good enough. Getting to the Olympic semi-finals would be a great accomplishment for this group. That would be very acceptable. Expecting more may be a bit unrealistic.
If I were one of those reporters I would ask her how far is this team from challenging and defeating Spain or England right now. The real test will be against Germany in a few weeks. I am not sure this team is ready for those challenges yet. Perhaps next year when young U-20 players are added to the roster based on their outstanding performance on the 2024 U-20 Women's Soccer WC coming up in September. That tournament's performance will also a reflection of US Soccer and their future for this game looking to the 2027 WC.
USWNT has always attacked quickly and directly, and with the progress in womens football they cant play that style any longer. And this quick style of play is dominant in NWSL.
I agree that the input of Emma Hayes on the team is a plus, but the outcome of the game is still the job of the players, I understand that she took control very quickly, but if she is a game changer why not give Alex Morgan a fair chance she is an excellent player and with the energy that Emma brought to the team may just lift-up Alex game as well,
I’ll see Horan was playing a holding midfielder is why she was playing back. I’m not go to speak to the other things you mentioned because I’ll say just say I disagree with what you said.

lmao of course she's spot on she's one of the best coaches in the game
She's building this team, it will come.
Team has a ways to go. Winning a Gold Medal is unrealistic. Improvement is needed. Getting to the semi-finals would be a great accomplishment.
@@RichardBoudrot-oz6gbwelp, we somehow got to the semis, so clearly this team is good
@@RichardBoudrot-oz6gbwelp, not so unrealistic now, what a tournament
I really look forward to Emma’s pre and post game chats.
Me too. I just love hearing her speak

Europeans are going to dominate woman football the coming years.

Emma Hayes press conferences are better than Greg

Spain just lost yesterday... they are not invincible😂
Can we clone her to coach the men's team?
European teams will eat these girls up. They need to listen to Emma now not later.
I honestly can't stand that guy that's always with them now. Lol
Yeah the head media guy is more annoying now. He is more prominent now that Emma has arrived.
What do you mean by now? lol He's always been with them.
If I'm not mistaken he has been there for about 15 or so years.
Why tf is he there??
@@teamactivellc6497 damn, he's milking the screen time now 😂

We have no time

Hey @USWNT, that guy has gotta go. He’s the most annoying part of the entire experience.
