Let's see if the US can bring the ball methodically out of their own end if they are being pressed near their goal. They were troubled by Mexico trying to do this. This group needs to improve.

'Impressive' has always been an associated term; in spite of her Chelsea ties. In the past month, I've been able to listen to her across a few platforms and I am THORoughly convinced she is the best coach USWNT has ever had - already... Early days, I know, but...WOW... I’m not a coach but I would be surprised if Krueger doesn’t start that Zambia game. I can’t see Nighswonger keeping up with the pace of Banda and Kundananji.
Explain this to me. If we go off of EA sports FIFA ratings (which is imperfect, but gives a data based comparison between the two and I have seen quoted as a comparison tool across multiple settings), Nighswonger's Pace is a 93, with an Acceleration score of 94, a Sprint Speed score of 93, and AcceleRATE listed as Controlled Explosive. Meanwhile, Krueger is listed with a 73 pace overall, with a 72 Acceleration score, 74 Sprint Speed score, and AcceleRATE listed as Controlled. I don't say this to knock Krueger. She is a great athlete and defender; but I don't understand the Nighswonger hate (which I've been seeing more and more of), especially when the facts don't back it up. She was rookie of the year and became an unquestioned (from the coaching perspective) core of the backline all while learning the position as she had never played it before! She plays well with Davidson and they know each others movements, which will only help. And, not that it is important for soccer purposes, but she seems a generally good person and a joy as a teammate and human (no personal experience, obviously).

More attacking minded. Krueger is one of the best 1v1 defenders is the world in my opinion and has been for years.
It wasn’t the last time they played a send of game before going to the Olympics. This is pretty much a repeat of what we saw in the Vlatko era. Playing a 56th ranked team really doesn’t provide much of a challenge. You can can up a win before the game even stars. The question becomes how many goals will they score.

Playing no.56 on FiFA word ranking not sure it’s good preparation. Playing top 10 fifa ranking teams is better. Predictable match.
