I’ve grown to appreciate this film more & more over the year especially having teenage children myself I see so many similarities in their thought processes & mindsets that this film shows the downfalls of that & how limited the teenage mindset & scope is to the drama they invent lol!!!🤣😂 But it’s a great classic film about the consequences of foolish choices!
This is a great classic film but keep in mind as I explained in this video it was a CINESCOPE film so has a specific look to the film of the time period 1955!

I have grown to appreciate this film the older my kids get too, one of them is well into his teenage years & the 2nd of my 3 kids is just entering his teenage years so I feel the story of this film is very well done explaining teenage angst & drama lol!!!😂🤣

Hey james, Great reviews as always the earliest Atmos that I know of is from here to eternity, 1953 other early ones The bridge over the river, Kwai, anatomy of a murder, psycho, Lawrence of Arabia The guns of the Navarone and Spartacus, which is DTSX have a great one

Yah From Here to Eternity 1953 might be the only single film that’s released on 4K yet with Dolby Atmos that was actually an older/earlier film than Rebel Without a Cause 1955 with Atmos all the rest are released theatrically after Rebel….. Bridge over the River Kwai is 1957, Anatomy of a Murder was 1959, Psycho 1960, Lawrence of Arabia 1962 ETC….
@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia yes, james I think from here to eternity is the earliest closely followed by rebel than the others i’m only going from movies I personally own and US releases hopefully someone else will chime in here if they know of something earlier. i’m a big believer in Atmos some reviewers will remark that the 5.1 is good enough and it really doesn’t need an Atmos track I disagreed I think any movie that has a multichannel track would benefit from a new Atmos track. even a movie that is dialogue heavy. to me it seems to sound much more natural in Atmos, despite not having a Active sound field I’m only going from the movies I own but every Atmos track I’ve heard sounds better than it’s 5.1/7.1 counterpart how much better well, obviously on some movies that can be debatable and most movies if not all that have an upgraded Atmos track usually will include the older 5.1/7.1. so I say, go for it and if it doesn’t come out right which again is rare, you can go back to the discs original surround mix. Just got eight movies from Kino feels like I stole them. Got such a good deal with their big sale two of the eight were not supposed to come with a slip. but they did so I consider myself lucky sliding in the taking of Pelham 123. Have a great one.!!
Thanx for the great review! Nobody thinks the picture looks squeezed on this release? The heads of people looks to wide compared to other blurays.
🧐So as I was explaining that’s the cameras & the CINEMASCOPE process & is not something wrong with this film, it’s simply the way it was intended & intentionally filmed back in 1955! So it’s intentionally never going to look anything like a modern release, same for the colors of this film it’s a product of the time period & the exact processes they used to create this classic film in 1955! Hopefully this helps to shed some extra light on this for you! Are you excited for this new 4K UHD📀?❓

Is the blu ray in the new release also new (a compressed version of the 4k) or is it the same blu ray that was released before?
Where did your fiery review go?
After a lot of research & analytics it was discovered a percentage of viewers were ONLY going to that part of my videos & taking screenshots & using them as their own reviews & it has been hurting my video views! So I loved doing that special effect but due to a percentage of viewers abusing that & not actually watching the review that I worked extremely hard to create & my content simply being abusively used & using that screenshot they take of my video as their own review I’ve decided to stop creating that special effect to help keep the integrity of my videos & channel!
