Very nice work. I love the F-22 Raptor. It's the reason the Russians built a stealth fighter to counter the Raptor. It scared them. And their fighter is so much bigger than the Raptor too. Nice work with the missile paint work took.

very nice!, great weathering, i also made my own F22 from revell. i did mine with a metallic finish paint job and matte edges, the metallic finish is also very beautiful just if you make another f22 in the future :D

@@modelsforfun oooooh the F35 ive made that as well. and i definetly think its an interesting build. especially with the complicated painting of the bay doors. it really sets it apart from other planes
do you use a white oil for fading the camo ? for a green base camo what do you suggest for fading ? The brush must be dry ?
Hello.The Raptors camouflage is painted with a light and dark grey, so if I want to mimic a bleached by sun or worn of camouflage I use a lighter paint. White or light grey. For a Green base camo use a lighter tone mix of Green and white. Yes the brush must be dry, no terpentine or other thinner. It will edge the surface.
What kind of paints will I need to paint like that for the f22

Would this kit work if you didn't already have the glue and airbrush? I was considering it for a Christmas present. I considered doing a lego set but they don't have realistic looking jets and that seems to easy, but this seems like it might be to hard.
Building models from Lego is something different then plastic kits. Yes you need to have glue, paints and paintbrush. Airbrush is better then a ordinary paintbrush but it will do work also.

Hi. The pilot figure was not in the kit. Had to purchase it separately.

No its not hard to build it. You just need to be precise and patient.
I got this kit as a present. Wanted to watch someone build it first. Funny, my kit doesn't have a pilot.
The pilot figure was a accesorie from a nother kit. I like to experiment time to time and add something to the kit.
I’ve got the 1/48 scale model. Is there a option for wheels up? I tried having the landing gear doors closed but the pieces don’t match up.
I think yes. You can close the landing gear doors. If they dont match, cut them into a correct shape.
I have built 2 1:48 and 2 1:72 and none of 'em fit !!! I put a pad of Blu Tack in the wells and press the doors into it till they line up , not perfect , but you can put a bit of putty into the seams .
Is that model the one that was sold also by Tamiya?
Yes. Its the same Kit.

From where you buy it
Mostly I buy my models from Slovak and Czech e-shops like HTmodel, Modelshop or MN modelar. But sometimes its german or even russian sites. Im sure you have a near- by e-shop where you live. Check out Ebay also.

Dont know. What kinda newspaper? Never saw it in newspaper. Maybe its some other kit.

Don't like the big seam across the wing aft of he cockpit !! problem for 1;72 nd 1:48 . just where you don't want a join (Hobby Boss doesn't do it !)
