Perfectly Moist BUTTER PECAN POUND CAKE Recipe | w/ Butter Pecan Cream Cheese frosting | Mansa Queen

- This recipe provides a perfect balance between the nutty pecan flavor and a moistly delicious pound cake! Topped with a cream cheese frosting, it is the perfect desert for all the nut-lovers.
For the toasted pecans
1 1/2 cups Pecans chopped/crushed too smaller bits
2 Tbsp melted unsalted butter
1 tsp ground nutmeg
For the cake
3 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
3 sticks butter
5 eggs @room temp
1/2 cup sour cream @ room temp
1 cup heavy whipping cream @ room temp
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup toasted pecan
For the Frosting
8oz cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup toasted pecans
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
Mix the cake as instructed in the video, making sure that all ingredients are at room temperature. Bake cake at 325F for 70-80 minutes. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
Mix the ingredients for the frosting and spread all over the cool cake. Serve and Enjoy!

Beautiful recipe.
I made this but had to change up some stuff since I didn’t have all the ingredients so I tell you what I did differently.
What I did different:
(Note: I followed the instructions but substituted some stuff)
-I used 1 1/2 cups of white sugar. (Didn’t want my cake too sweet, and it turned out sweet enough)
-I used buttermilk for heavy whipping cream.
Made the buttermilk myself. (2/3 cup of milk, mixed in with 1/3 of butter).
That’s all. I found this cake to be delicious but as she said it wasn’t too moist, so once it was done I mixed milk, a little bit of sugar, and vanilla into a cup and poked holes in the cake. I then poured the milk onto the cake for it to absorb the milk making it more moist!
I’ve never had a pecan cake. Definitely have to try this one.

Hi mansa l only had a few pecans so l used some walnuts and chopped them together l should of shopped first I only had exlarge eggs so l only added 2 eggs and cake turned out very well so moist and delicious but l used canned fluffy white frosting with chopped walnuts
