We own this one and its incredible. we are a family of 4. The bathroom works with the door closed for my hubby whos 6'9". Our shower area is a tub/shower combo which is amazing. There is no water leaking out and the kids can bathe without an issue.
I bought a 5th wheel similar to this. It was first made in 2000 by Sportsmen. I gutted it and completely remodeled the inside. We have a CA King in the front and a queen in the rear slide. I got rid of the stove and oven and put in a convection microwave that looks like a pull-out oven. This gave me more counter room. I built a drawer below where I store a double hotplate. We also managed to put in a WD combo. LOVE IT!!!
Like The ceiling height is nice and high I am a tall guy. The rear slide oh and what is the weight capacity for the rear slide. I would be concerned that it would break off. The kitchen. Love the furrion appliances and the countertops. Dislike The dinette and couch. I don't like the look of that material. Looks hard and uncomfortable but can be changed. The bathroom curtain. I like the ones where it has a solid side but a fabric shield will stay in better. The rear slide. I like is and I dislike it. It scares me when I would sleep on it I feel like it would break off. Great video. Love your content and cheery attitude. I bought those charity stickers well I got my mom to get them for me for Christmas. I am 12. It is my dream to own and live in an RV or van can't make up my mind. Hope you aren't retired when I want to purchase my first new RV. How old are you matt.
We owned the Outback that was set-up just like this with the exception of the front bunk area was set-up as a single vehicle toyhauler. These are well built and the sliding bed really opens up the interior.
We like our regular steps. Dirt is brought into the trailer with the type that fold into the inside of the trailer. Also with those steps reaching the ground, another entry for ants.
Hello, I love this layout! I like the bunk area, love the kitchen sink. Don't like that back storage, don't like the colors, needs lightened up. Would make it feel bigger. Love those windows around the bed. Great review Matt and Will!👍👍❤❤
It is certainly the weirdest one I've seen! The bed would be a pain to scoot down to get out. I'm trying to like it, but I can't. Thanks for the tour, though!
Three things I don’t like: the outside shower being right at the door- nothing like puddles - no usb plugs for the bed - that storage underneath the slide out
Keeping it short!😄The beds!-Enough for 4!/Nice sink, stove, and refrigerator/Bunk beds-nice!😏The little trash can/the shower curtain is a disappointment/updating on the things that you guys mentioned on this and other trailers.
I actually really like this model, and I’m pretty pleased that they went to a 12v compressor refer in the 2021. We were thinking to go with a small motorhome, but now, this might make more sense.
Three things we like: oven! fridge bunks take up small space Three things we don't like: Storage behind spare tire, tire in road a bit narrow but understandable steps
3 Likes: 1: Compact bunk-house that doubles as storage 2: Lots of value and higher-end features for the price 3: Good TV placement 3 Dislikes: 1: Tight bathroom 2: The north-south rear slide-out requires a bit more effort than a regular slide-out to operate, and I worry about how much weight it can handle 3: Rear exterior storage compartment is difficult to access
Hi Matt and Will! Hope you both had a great Thanksgiving. This is a nice travel trailer. Nice big bed looks really big and nice. The only things I didn’t like were the things that were mentioned like the slide out and couch his you have to fold them up. Oh where the storage was by the tire I thought if that when Matt tried to open it. I was wondering how you open it. Other than that it is nice. Thank you Matt and Will. You 2 are funny. Loads of laughter love that you two are friends. I missed you skipping Matt. You must have been tired.
You two are just too funny. As a retired math teacher I love your math--Matt + Will=??? Three things I like are...the bunks with the storage, the kitchen area, and the king size bed. Three things I don’t like are....I would have to get down on the ground to dump the tanks, that shower curtain and the steps.
My suggestions, make the front bunk a 2 seater dinette that has a drop down bunk over. With the slide being in, you still would have a place to sit and eat as a couple.
If you knew how many times the !ippert steps have failed on class A's and other vehicles, you would understand WHY, everyone is going to a fixed step system. When the Lippert steps fail and are stuck in the out position, and then you cannot drive the vehicle. 😲😲
The 3 things I like about this travel trailer: 1. amenities of a 29' RV in a 23' RV 2. the bottom bunk flipping up to able to store a large item with a door to access from the outside 3. the high end features: power tongue jack, radius roof, the Artic package, fully ducted A/C The 3 things I don't like about this travel trailer: 1. the multi steps to bring the slide in 2. aluminum entry steps 3. the spare tire carrier and rear storage door
People complaining don't understand this is 21' plus the hitch. Yeah your trailer might have more room...it's also probably 10' longer and 4000 pound heavier. Compared to other 20' trailers and hybrids it's awesome.
I like the bedroom, bunks, and the kitchen. I don't like the spare tire covering a storage bay, you have to drop down the dinette and the sofa to bring the slide in, and the bathroom.
I have a 2010 Forest River Surveyor SV235RKS and this Outback is too similar to be a coincidence. There’s a few things I don’t like about it but I do like the rear window and the cabinets in the slide out area. I also like the fridge and pantry area layout better than what I have now. Great review Matt and Will. Thank you! (Go look up the 2010 Surveyor 235RKS.)
It's nice trailer I would like to see both bunks removable or folding in some way. Theater recliner would be great also but that may be engineer challenge with the slide situation.
Love the rear slide out bed. It wouldn't be an issue for me to drop the dinette/couch in order to get the shorter towed length. Love the 'garage'. However, being a guy built like Wil, the bathroom is a no-go for me.
Would like to have seen the interior with the slide in. Shower only for very skinny people. Needs to be round corner type, flip up sink would then allow for better toilet placement.
I was just thinking how many thieves are going to try and figure out the latch to the door in the back? Seems to be a good place for some nice outdoor items. Like a Blackstone grill, outdoor carpet, folding chairs. Depends on the Actual Space though. With a little bit of innovation by the owner. It would make Solo Vanlifers Jealous.
I dislike that both bunks don't flip up (because I love that storage area), the shower is too small, and I don't remember seeing any hanging storage. I love the slide out with the king bed, that is has a pantry, an oven, a sofa and a dinette in a small, relatively inexpensive trailer.
I watched the video and I do like the camper is very unique and very cool I think it would be cool to add something to your list of things that you say sweet things I hate three things we like I would say you should add three things that I think it would be cool in that particular camper and motorized head raising thing to turn that bed into a couch like scenario and another thing it would be cool if they put a skylight in that slide out that would be so cool I think if they we did the bathroom just add another inch or two they would make all the difference in the world maybe they can put in a radius shower that would be way better and cooler anyways that's what I think
I didn't notice where the heat registers were at. I like the N-S Slide. Great for rest areas to put the rear slide out. I know cables are good for slides but that's a lot of slide hanging out there. Love the front bunks!!!!! Love the large furnace and fresh water tank. QUESTION: Is it aluminum framed?
Dang! Just how many did you do on this day! We could tell you were whipped! Wow! What a different floor plan! Has potential. Hate those blinds. They just don’t hold up. Whoa! Watch that step! Don’t like the storage below the oven. But I guess I could put in a tray. Nothing about that bathroom works for me. For weekend camping this would work. But that’s about it. I like your likes and dislikes as well. Great review . Will has definitely proved to be a great asset.
I did not like that you had a promo code banner going across the bottom of the screen with the merch pics covering parts of the RV as you started showing it . It was the bunk and that was what I wanted to see and banner covered it . Hope you show it on the walk through. Luckily you did show it ! Thanks
Now this is where colors really matter...if the furniture was a lighter color and the cabinets were a lighter color, it would give the illusion of more room, which is sorely needed here. It wouldn't look so cramped. When are RV makers going to catch on? Geez... Cute trailer, love the bed (though I could do without the king sized bed. I'm alone, sleep on one side and am a smaller person so I don't sleep all over the bed and don't need all that room. I'd throw out the king and put in a twin memory foam and have room for storage boxes. RV makers think only of bigger families and younger people. When are we going to see RV's that are good for older people, 1-2 people? There are a lot more retirees out there buying their first RV to spend their retirement in and, since they're not rough and careless like younger people and kids, they have a better resale. But, maybe that's the point...you'd sell more new ones because no one wants torn up old used ones. *sigh*.
You really need to make it a point to start inside portion always with slide in...it's very important to people seeing it compressed because people want to see if it's usable traveling between locations.
The MSRP it really kills the deal about this travel trailer like 30k is above average price for very small travel trailer that has only one slide out and it's just not worth even 20k let alone the dealers will ask more for this travel trailer because it's new in market but that was my only down side I see about this one and great review thank you for showing everything about this travel trailer.
In my opinion, very poorly designed. Not worth the 31k. I have a Cruiser MPG that I bought brand new and only paid 24k and is set up nicer than this. I do love your honest review Matt. You keep it real.
Must have been a long day, Matt is missing things, not much of a skip, Likes: Tank capacities - WOW, electric jacks, interior layout is great, compressive fridge, king bed, Dislikes: shower sucks, 14" wheels - 16" should be minimum
$31k msrp? What’s the sale price? I would have liked to see how to move the north to south king size bed. Nice 👍 job guys the price point for towables are more affordable. D+ for toilet 🚽 and shower a little short my tall husband, Richard. We like it...we miss Andrea, the climb and the skipping and Godzilla! Lol 😂 can’t wait to see another one Elizabeth
Don't like the location of the outdoor shower, and to get into that rear storage you need to maneuver around the tire. I also don't like that you have to crawl over the bed to make it. I like the bunks, the kitchen, and the awning with the side lights.
not a good review. you didn't show the bathroom , just a quick here;s the bath , i did see the sink. slow down. also, whats up with the rear storage , you open the door and hit the spare tire. thats dumb.
I have friends that have Keystone travel trailes and the roof leaks big time! Lippert jacks, the leavening jacks are known for failing and the maufacter is not helpful after the warranty runs out. No ladder, not even on the side or a removable one? Another dislike. Good shower placement for the size, nice stove/cooktop , good storage area. You golf cart will last longer than that Travel Trailer!
3 things I liked -1absolutely nothing 2-did I mention nothing 3- still absolutely nothing 3 things I hate -1 it’s hideous-2 will is in the video -3-the entire trailer. Just kidding Will I did not hate you in the video 🙃
Not stating a sale price bugs me. If appears the manufacturers are deliberately trying to get us to contact sales person, and then give a minimal discount. I’m sure Matt does not like stating a sales price.

The rear slide oh and what is the weight capacity for the rear slide. I would be concerned that it would break off.
The kitchen. Love the furrion appliances and the countertops.
Dislike
The dinette and couch.

♥️❤️❤️♥️

I'm so glad you did a walk through of this RV!!!
Hello, I love this layout! I like the bunk area, love the kitchen sink. Don't like that back storage, don't like the colors, needs lightened up. Would make it feel bigger. Love those windows around the bed. Great review Matt and Will!👍👍❤❤
We were camping about 30 years ago and were parked next to one then! Must be popular for Outback to still be building it.
It is certainly the weirdest one I've seen! The bed would be a pain to scoot down to get out. I'm trying to like it, but I can't. Thanks for the tour, though!
I love the bed
Orange
We have one of these but a 2007 model with a queen slide and 4 bunks in the front. Love it!
Love this small travel trailer! Used to have a outback 21 RS model. When they were owned by Thor.
This is a great floor plan. My biggest complaint would be the shower curtain. I wish they had used something more fixed and solid instead.
Three things I don’t like: the outside shower being right at the door- nothing like puddles
- no usb plugs for the bed
- that storage underneath the slide out
Keeping it short!😄The beds!-Enough for 4!/Nice sink, stove, and refrigerator/Bunk beds-nice!😏The little trash can/the shower curtain is a disappointment/updating on the things that you guys mentioned on this and other trailers.
I actually really like this model, and I’m pretty pleased that they went to a 12v compressor refer in the 2021. We were thinking to go with a small motorhome, but now, this might make more sense.
Love the King Bed in a small trailer.
Yeah
Love it when you review ones that are actually in my price range! This would be a great step up from a pop up.
An old layout someone finally brought back, I like it, however dont like the bathroom.
Love: bunks, king bed, and kitchen
Dislikes: steps, prefer solid headboard and not window, TV.
Three things we like:
oven!
fridge
bunks take up small space
Three things we don't like:
Storage behind spare tire, tire in road
a bit narrow but understandable
steps
The kitchen has better storage than my Keystone Hideout 38’ with a front and back bedroom!
3 Likes:
1: Compact bunk-house that doubles as storage
2: Lots of value and higher-end features for the price
3: Good TV placement
3 Dislikes:
1: Tight bathroom
2: The north-south rear slide-out requires a bit more effort than a regular slide-out to operate, and I worry about how much weight it can handle
3: Rear exterior storage compartment is difficult to access
I'd be fine with it if they left off the slide entirely. Room for two on the bunks and world be great for one person to travel in.
The batteries should have some kind of weather enclosure and outside TV mount should be recessed
You two are just too funny. As a retired math teacher I love your math--Matt + Will=??? Three things I like are...the bunks with the storage, the kitchen area, and the king size bed. Three things I don’t like are....I would have to get down on the ground to dump the tanks, that shower curtain and the steps.
Pretty much interesting design. This slide will do better than expandable tent.
There is HUGE storage under the kitchen table benches that help.
My suggestions, make the front bunk a 2 seater dinette that has a drop down bunk over. With the slide being in, you still would have a place to sit and eat as a couple.
Try could be an option but me personally I like the trailer layout exactly how it is
Kills me how Wil says "hood range"! and not range hood! Lol!
That’s too funny, I never noticed I did that till I read your comment! 😂
" Tamatoes,..Tomatoes..." LOL
Out of all the travel trailer brands that I've seen multiple floorplans of, I tend to like Keystone interiors the best overall.
If you knew how many times the !ippert steps have failed on class A's and other vehicles, you would understand WHY, everyone is going to a fixed step system. When the Lippert steps fail and are stuck in the out position, and then you cannot drive the vehicle. 😲😲
Used to have one like this. Two things to consider. The living area gets claustrophobic and the bathroom is quite cramp.
Cutlery sorter was in the drawer. Rolled up dish drainer on the counter. Easy to get a longer shower curtain...
The 3 things I like about this travel trailer:
1. amenities of a 29' RV in a 23' RV
2. the bottom bunk flipping up to able to store a large item with a door to access from the outside
3. the high end features: power tongue jack, radius roof, the Artic package, fully ducted A/C
The 3 things I don't like about this travel trailer:
1. the multi steps to bring the slide in
2. aluminum entry steps
3. the spare tire carrier and rear storage door
This is well designed.
You can take out drawer by bunks and small outside front storage becomes a clothes hamper.
People complaining don't understand this is 21' plus the hitch. Yeah your trailer might have more room...it's also probably 10' longer and 4000 pound heavier. Compared to other 20' trailers and hybrids it's awesome.
LOVE the video HATE th trailer don't know HOW I could make that bed! maybe a queen or full!
I love the rear slide and north south bed, but I can't deal with a bed you crawl onto, with no walkway on the sides. I'm too old for that :-)
I like the bedroom, bunks, and the kitchen. I don't like the spare tire covering a storage bay, you have to drop down the dinette and the sofa to bring the slide in, and the bathroom.
Gives length room. Yes but not too fond. Like wider room
I have a 2010 Forest River Surveyor SV235RKS and this Outback is too similar to be a coincidence.

Three things... I dont like I didn't see diamond plate anywhere i heard it but don't see it.. oh that's just one
Jayco X213?🤔
I was just thinking how many thieves are going to try and figure out the latch to the door in the back? Seems to be a good place for some nice outdoor items. Like a Blackstone grill, outdoor carpet, folding chairs. Depends on the Actual Space though. With a little bit of innovation by the owner. It would make Solo Vanlifers Jealous.
Nice review as always, thanks! Is there a fifth wheel version of this or something similar?
I dislike that both bunks don't flip up (because I love that storage area), the shower is too small, and I don't remember seeing any hanging storage. I love the slide out with the king bed, that is has a pantry, an oven, a sofa and a dinette in a small, relatively inexpensive trailer.

Thank you!
What is supporting the king bed slide? I can see the extends far outside of the RV.
Will carried Matt through this one.
I'd like to see it with the slide in and, as in other comments, I'd like to see the CEO or owner of Keystone make the bed. It's just a weird layout.
I didn't notice where the heat registers were at. I like the N-S Slide. Great for rest areas to put the rear slide out. I know cables are good for slides but that's a lot of slide hanging out there. Love the front bunks!!!!! Love the large furnace and fresh water tank.

@Matt.... Do you plan on reviewing used travel trailers too?
I was stoked about this trailer till Will got in the shower. I'm 6'6" and that's a no go for me. Thanks Will and Matt!

This is more like a hybrid TT, in my opinion. Not for me. Too crowded feeling.
Don't like the location of the outdoor shower, and to get into that rear storage you need to maneuver around the tire. I also don't like that you have to crawl over the bed to make it. I like the bunks, the kitchen, and the awning with the side lights.
Please do the Outback 340BH!
Cheaper than the teardrop!
Could you show a half ton towable fifth wheel???
What was Matt excited about about the microwave not having? Watched this several times and could never make out what he said.
Me too. Think it was turntable.
How about a PPPP spare tire cover?
Thank you Matt an Will👍
Nice trailer
👎 Bathroom 👎
Would y'all say this is 1/2 ton towable?
Those bunks are dark. All bunks need windows
Not a big fan of the bed being on the rear slide. It is very similar to a hybrid but better.
Anytime u see no ladder run
Was interested in stopping into General RV Ocala but the location reviews are so terribly awful.
I don’t like the slide out they could put it on the side an turn the bed the other way
That bathroom blows
not a good review. you didn't show the bathroom , just a quick here;s the bath , i did see the sink. slow down. also, whats up with the rear storage , you open the door and hit the spare tire. thats dumb.
I don’t like any the bunks are okay nothing you can’t get around a green might be better

Weird and narrow.
Not stating a sale price bugs me. If appears the manufacturers are deliberately trying to get us to contact sales person, and then give a minimal discount. I’m sure Matt does not like stating a sales price.
Dislike the layout.
