Springsteen. For the 14 years I’ve lived I have loved his music, and when i got into guitar, I wanted to be just like him. I saved up and bought a Squier Affinity Butterscotch Blonde Tele, and I will never sell it. It’s worth more than money now.
Exact same for me man. I had a hard time finding a Tele that had the same color as Bruce’s, so I eventually ended getting a body custom ordered. It’ll be here soon!
1st time I learned to like telecasters. Warmed up to Springsteen’s blonde tele. But Kieth Richards/Danny Gatton, Made Telecaster, my favorite guitar of all time.❤️ I strap on? 👉🏽I FEAR NO OTHER GUITAR, “AT ALL”! I’m from Los Angeles😎 -So is FENDER🇺🇸
Stratocaster, Telecaster, Les Paul and SG don't changed so much since their debuts, those simple looking solid body guitar is so inspiring for the other guitar styles
Don’t sound like it. Plus Wood needs to “breathe ”... & Leather would change, 👉🏽 classic tele TONALITY😳 “BEAUTY IS EXCELLENCE IN FUNCTION” -Some smart dude. 🌍 So, My dark wood grain, pearl pick-guard, f-holed thinline TELE -LIGHT AS A FEATHER💡 is the most beautiful ever made. Shame on you for lying...
I got , not my first guitar but my very first fender just a few days ago. I traded some guitars for it. I was looking for a squier and I made an offer to what looked like a squier. When the guy brought it over I saw it was a fender telecaster. With a Wilkinson bridge and fender noiseless pickups. I am still in disbelief that I now own a fender telecaster. I love it so much and no other guitar can sound like it
If you want to have a wonderful play experience Buy a fender telecaster. If you want to have a great tone Buy a fender telecaster If you want your kids get smarter Buy a fender telecaster
LOVE the TELE! Liked the video. One point...Country, Rockabilly and Bluegrass? NO self-respecting bluegrass guitarist would strap on an electric guitar of ANY kind! Traditionally, bluegrass guitars were Martins (usually D-28s with an occasional D-18). That's changed a bit over the last 20-30 years but in the 40s, 50s and 60s Martins ruled the bluegrass world.
Brill review, Degan, as always good to see someone enjoying their guitars so much! Btw everyone, check out Oliver Thompson's telecaster work on some of the Bryan Ferry live stuff from around 10 years ago, who really gets a superb sound of his tele, and is such a great guitarist .....period (as they say in the USA!), particularly considering how young he was at the time.
6:41 I remember reading somewhere that rosewood was introduced because some players complained to Fender their heavily played, therefore quite worn looking, maple necks didn’t look good (in their opinion).
Good review big fella, however that bad boy your holding is likely 3 bits of wood rather than 2 as stated (rosewood on maple neck). A 'Fun fact' I was compelled to add to your comments section.
Buck Owens had a signature Fender Telecaster made in the early 70's, Red White and Blue, Fender and Buck Owens did do business together and the history is clear if you Google it.
#9 I don’t practice enough on my tele💡 #10 I thought the telecaster was ugly. Till I got a thinline fender tele. Now, Non f-hole teles, just look ODD...

Can’t go wrong with a tele
I prefer maple neck Teles because I think they look better. Favourite Tele player: Steve Cropper.
Terry Kath with Chicago. All of those great songs in the 70’s played on his iconic Telecaster.
Wilko Johnson and Hugh Cornwell were the first to make me notice the unique wiry tones you get from the Tele
If you want to have a wonderful play experience
Buy a fender telecaster.
If you want to have a great tone
Buy a fender telecaster
If you want your kids get smarter

Jonny Greenwood is my favourite tele player. Wish Fender would reissue the USA Telecaster Plus with Lace Sensor pickups.
Brilliant video, thank you...
Great vid, thx. Telecaster guitars are so amazing for their simplicity and versatility.
Andy Summers of The Police, so many hit songs thru his Tele!
You named my favorite Tele player, Richie Kotzen. 👍 Got my first Telecaster the other day.
Page is my favorite Tele/Les Paul player.
Roy Buchanan....... Everybody always forgets Roy Buchanan
Who?
I read somewhere that the Stratocaster was intended to appeal to country players, but the Telecaster did more of that.
Love this kind of videos, greetings from México, Dagan!
I got to see a broadcaster in person back in October, one of the first 200 ever made and with its original case at that!
Lucky bastard.😐
Right place right time 🤷🏻♂️ never know what music shop owners have lying around, he had an early test print of a Willie Nelson record too.
Awwwwww drooling over the jim root tele! I really want to try the jazzmaster!

That opening riff was genuine hard rock.
Josh smith is my favorite tele player
I have an amazing G&L telecaster classic butterscotch blonde...🙃😘☺
danny gatton tele is gold sparkle with zirconium fret markers on edge for dimly lit bar playing and have a dot on the first fret
Of course! Because you can record and cut lines on it at the same time!
Marty Stuart and his "Clarence" B-bender!

Ralph Macchio is my favorite actor impersonating a Telecaster Player!
Ry Cooder was the man behind Ralph lol. At least on the Tele parts and Steve Vai on more the metal classical parts. Cool movie.
Wonder if Syd Barrett influenced Page's mirrored guitar.
PRINCE
HOHNER TELECASTER
Very interesting! One question, what kind of light did you use for the background?
6:41 I remember reading somewhere that rosewood was introduced because some players complained to Fender their heavily played, therefore quite worn looking, maple necks didn’t look good (in their opinion).
Keith Urban is my favorite tele player. I have his pickups in my tele
i actually prefer the maple fretboard, something more aesthetic, especially if its a butterscotch body
My favorite is Keith Richards and micawber
Prince' Telecaster looks sick and is one of my favourite guitarist
He was pretty good on bass as well.
Jim Root Telecaster 😍
I always thought the prototype body was pine. Interesting since they now make some Teles again with pine bodies.
My favorite Fender Telecaster player is Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones.
What model telecaster is that? I'm looking for white tele with rosewood/ebony board.
This year, I finally got an American made ash Tele. Yippie!!
Sold my strat to get a tele. Let's see which one I end up liking :)
Good review big fella, however that bad boy your holding is likely 3 bits of wood rather than 2 as stated (rosewood on maple neck). A 'Fun fact' I was compelled to add to your comments section.
Good vid-p
Brad Paisley has a signature model Tele. And he plays every style on a Tele.
Did I miss the sale? Nothing looks discounted (21 Oct 21)
Is there anyway possible to palm mute with the ashtray on i mean its not a tele without the tray on..like leo intended
my favorite tele player is john 5. and keith richards and jimmy page ...
Mr. Randall came up with the Telecaster name, not Leo.
Leo Fender wanted to make a simple affordable plank with strings on it, cost thousands of dollars
Andy Summers 🎸
currently im using the jim root tele. should i buy the jim root jazzmaster v4 or the OG jazzmaster?
Buck Owens had a signature Fender Telecaster made in the early 70's, Red White and Blue, Fender and Buck Owens did do business together and the history is clear if you Google it.
How do you get a Waylon Jennings Type of tele?
Metal Stampy Cat!
I have always considered the tele ugly, and still do, yet after 40 years of playing, a blackguard tele is my #1 guitar…..
Why do you not comment on comments?
Not a fender but Julian Lage is my favorite t style player
Josh Farro (former member of Paramore) plays a Telecaster Deluxe, I got into Telecaster because of him.
When I see a tele I always think of Quo.
Muddy waters
#9
I don’t practice enough on my tele💡
#10
I thought the telecaster was ugly.
Till I got a thinline fender tele.
Now,
Non f-hole teles, just look ODD...
How can you talk about the Fender Telecaster with out talking about Buck Owens, Don Rich and others and The Bakersfield Sound ?!
My favorite telecaster players are Brad Paisley, Keith Richards, Josh Farro, Nick Santino, Yoshida Sumire and Haruna Ono 🤘🤘🤘
I know everything and some hipster isn’t going to tell me anything I don’t know. I have a collage degree.
Less coffee
Keef , prince and the police
Only Fender can make a Telecaster. Any other company and it would be a Telecaster type guitar. Same with the Strat.
Keith richards
Jimmy Page and George Harrison are my favorite Tele players
