So did Digimon
😂😂😂😂
Yeah, that's because Digimon games are actually good, lmfao. You know X, Y, and/or Z thing that you wished so badly that Poke'mon games had done/had? Digimon literally did and had all of that, and more, but you just never knew about it because Digimon had really poor marketing in the West. Seriously, compare every Digimon era counterpart game to that of Poke'mon, and you'll see just how much Digimon innovates itself over time as opposed to Poke'mon which sticks to the same formula over and over.
Poke'mon doing so is not a bad thing. It's just ironic given how most Poke'mon weebs openly mock other monster catching franchises despite them delivering way, way better products time and time again in comparison of.

So far, the only time Nintendo gave a cease and desist was towards a Pokemon-themed mod for Palworld.
In legal circles it is sometimes wise to let the offender collect all the money first then hit them with a suit as anything they make can be labeled as loss damages in a copyright claim. So yeah they took down the thing that was never going to make money right away, and are waiting for Pocket Pair to receive real profits before serving them as it would be relevant to the case and Pocket Pair would have something actually be seized by the court to pay damages to Nintendo in that case. Also Pocket Pair is a clear front for something so it also could be a request by the government to see what they heck is going on and where the money goes.
@@greyfox78569You've got some prejudice in your eye mate. If a lawsuit happens it'll be in Japan and unless there's actual damage it's going to be really hard for Nintendo to have a case.

@615 It doesnt make fun to me but thats the argument everyone use as an excuse to protect pokemon. They keep saying they dont care how bad it is because it makes fun. Ignorance was always the reason why bad things take form. Same with ingame currency, microtransactions and such. People called it always "optional" and accepted its existence instead of fighting it and now its everywhere.
@@xSpyroTheDragon But everyone literally hates it though? Palworld became successful bc it didnt have the bs pokemon had, it wasnt expensive, it was as unpolished, it was fun, theres no microtransactions, no bs dailys
@@-fsa-3615 no the most actually like it or rather don´t care because they are ignorant (or simply are children with little demands and clueless parents who bought it).
The reason why Palworld got popular is not because Pokemon sucks but:
- it´s free
- it´s more mature than Pokemon
- it has Pokemon like Monsters so people played that too because it looked like pokemon (kinda like with adding a Mario, Pokemon or Zelda to a title and it automatically sells well)
- probably the most players are also the people who couldnt play pokemon, because they own PS, Xbox Consoles or PC but no Nintendo consoles. Now they basically have an alternative and thought it would be like Pokemon.
- masses has no advanced taste (thats why I often stay away from such high, fast successful becoming games, beacuse they mostly dont fit my taste and are overrated) and also tend to mimic others like theis favorite lets players/influencer and such. they have too mcuh power over people in my opinion but thats also the fault of the users too if they are so easily manipulated
Need a sequel with dragon quest going after pokemon
Nintendo: "You're not the giant you used to be. We can hold you up in litigation for years."
Dragon Quest: "You're clearly not familiar with our work." **
_All the other monster catcher brands come out the woodwork._
Dragon Quest: "We're all about big parties, and this one has access to class-actions!"
The funny thing is compared to games like Coromon and the Nexomon game's, Palworld is much more original in terms of gameplay, whereas those two and even Cassette Beasts are also turn based
Wait for Dragon Quest to come in and be like "Hey Pokemon..." then just point to their monsters that they made first. That look just as similar if not more so.
Palworld players wouldn't be in denial of the similarities. The obvious similarities are one of the reasons the game got so popular
Actually no, the similarities aren't even close to why the game got so popular, it's the gameplay, mechanics, *cough* slavery *cough* , guns, it's the game itself.
Pokemon has slavery in it too.
Soooo... We're just gonna ignore pokemon like Genesect and Blastoise also having guns?
To make it kid friendly, they made Blastoise water cannons.
Those are usually non lethal unless concentrated to high pressures
But ditto actually lost that battle what you mean super effective 😂 ending should have been cliff hanger (like this : trainers start to fight ,palworld guy knocks pokemon guy down they fight on the ground, roll about an then ditto jumps in as lawyer but judge pops out a sphere saying over ruled . Then palworld guy gets up saying "ha what now? "Scene pans to pokemon guy on ground an begins to fade with to be continued on it.
Thats the ending we need cause thats most accurate irl ending
Also, there shouldn't be a turn based battle, but they wanted Pokèmon to win since they're Pokèmon biased. Much of their videos have been making fun of Pokèmon.
Palworld would make it difficult for them to fill in the blanks since battles happen real-time.
Funny thing is there are some Pokemon that are or do have guns, ever since gen 1, Blastoise? Electrode a literal bomb, Dragapult that shoots its children, Eternatus a giant undead dragon cannon. I will say though, even Pokemon isn't original, it gets its catching mechanics inspired by the creator bug catching as a child, and the old kaiju and super sentai movies he used to watch, which also inspired the monster aspects to Pokemon. Then the RPG format, came from Earthbound, these are the 3 key ingredients that helped create Pokemon. Without it Pokemon wouldn't exist.
Nothing is original, what matters is how you spin something to make it feel new and fresh.
Comparing Slowpoke and Dumud is bit of a stretch. One's a pink sloth bear and the other is a brown mudfish
Also, most of these examples are bad ones. Sparkit is a cat and the only similarities it has with Pikachu are its tail shape (which is actually more like Raichu's) and the fact that it happens to be a yellow electric type.
Ironically, Eevee and Cremis aren't on here, even though those two actually do look extremely similar. Same with Lycanroc and Direhowl.
for lycanrock I already saw a similar looking wolf from 2d turn based strategy games in the early 2000s where it's name is Direwolf, making wolf based creatures will make similar looking creatures.
@@budgetproductions1178 Not always. Take a look at a real Grey Wolf, for example. There are many, many different ways to make a stylized design based off that.
If Nintendo wanted to sue Palworld, they already would have. The game's been out for a month now and people won't stop talking about it. Also, Wooloo/Lamball, Piplup/Pengullet, and Murkrow/Hootcrates aren't copies of each other, they're just all based on the same real-life animals. And the only similarity between Snorlax and Mozzarina is that they have a similar emoji face, they're otherwise completely different creatures. Same with Snorlax and Dummud, they just both look kind of dopey, they're otherwise completely different designs. Lopunny and Lunaris barely even look similar, too, they're both just humanoid with long ears.
it's true
Pokémon doesn't have a monster for everything
I have yet to see a Platypus Pokémon
how about a fkin ice cream cone and some gears?
Just use a Golduck and pretend it has a beaver tail...
They already got the dolphin Pokemon it will be a matter of time before they get a platypus one as well next game. Hell we probably get capybara as well soon.
Psyduck?
I thought there were 2?
Perhaps the greatest ability Dorkly has is to show a horrified expression using the fewest pixels possible.
1:31 I feel like half of these are bad examples. There are a lot of legitimate examples of design theft but some of these either aren’t or are attributed to the wrong Pokémon. The Slowpoke one is more Clodsire with Sobble fins.
slowpoke sooble and clodsire fusion
The crossover we didn’t know we wanted, awesome video Dorkly.
0:16 Pal trainer:he’s coming back to palworld with me
Red:pal world isn’t the place that’s ripoff of the place
Me confusing: isn’t the Harvest Moon place not pokemon place
A new pokemon video instead of the billionth literal Pokédex video!?!?
Lmao true
this opening shot is on a harvest moon map, back to nature or "boy & girl" if you had it on psp.
the zone immediately south of the farm just below the hotsprings
Baa baa blast sheep is such an overpowered move. I’m also surprised that we didn’t see a battle between Salazzle and Lovander.
The PALWorld anime is gonna be dark
Meh. It will likely just do pokemon manga.
@@indulgencerofindulgence5970Or Digimon Tamers or Ghost Game
@@indulgencerofindulgence5970 The Pokemon manga is like that one grown man who loves Pokemon, and because he loves it, he can't accept that it's supposed to be for kids. Because despite his hobby, he doesn't like being looked down upon for it, or treated like he's less than an adult for liking such childish things. So in denial, he pulls out his collection of stories, and is like, "Pokemon is not for kids, god dammit!"
Pal Tamer: "That's not a Wooloo, idiot!"
Pokemon Trainer: "But they look the same!"
Wooloo: **Ball shepp on four legs**
Lamball: **Sheep on two legs with golden studs, no bangs and completely different eyes**
He's out of line but completely right applies here I think.
❤weapons from the future 2:32❤
I really don't understand anyone who thinks being bipedal instead of on all fours is a minor difference.
I tried Palworld. I just could not get into it.
Do not play pal world if you are looking for a pokemon game, play it if you looking to capture monsters and have them do farming, building and other things, oh and occassionally battle if you not armed with a decent weapon... the play style is only similar in the throw ball catch and put into a dex computer... other than that it just does not play the same... people are always reaching... next thing you know people are going to say Stone Cold Steve Austin invented the stunner, Randy Orton invented the RKO, but it is just a variation of the Diamond Cutter from DDP... or like most pokemon just being cartoony versions of real and mythalogical animals... eevee and vulpix both have fox designs... not counting that foxes are popular, pal world has several like Foxfire, Nox(that dark one), the one Nine tailed one based on the kitsune, and Cremis and Vixi... foxes so popular look at what Eevee, evolves into wet fox, fire fox, thunder fox, dark fox, psychic fox, snow fox etc... etc...
If pokemon had copyrights on animal designs a lot of games would never have been released and as said in other comments Pokemon already ripped off concepts from Ultraman... but the thing is in the execution and the play style and overall mesh of the game
Pokemon is a simple game of collect monsters, battle monsters, travel around
Digimon is more raise monsters, collect monsters etc...
oh and Monster Rancher was a thing once upon a time...
“What about those keys next to that garbage” proves if any designs are made for any game it can be called stealing from pokemon since they have random stuff like ice cream pokemon!
More palworld vs pokemon stuff huh
I love that I can recognise the background as being from Friends of Mineral Town in a Pokemon vs Palworld video.
1:17 jesus guys, those are some pretty far stretches...
Before watching this video, my first thought is that the bystander will witness his opponent using a gun.
Why are you trying to claim Pokémon made sheeps
And calling braids ‘pigtails’? There’s a difference!
Meanwhile Temtem is like "yea... dont get us involved".
Spectrobes: “Isn’t anyone gonna notice us?”
They keep out Digimon because they know it’s perfect and there is no use arguing with perfection.
"YOU'VE BEEN SERVED!!"
...... It's not very effective....
Digimon is like that one cousin. You never wanted to be invited to the family meeting and still get to the party.
Hey Im all for Palworld, gives Pokemon the kick in the ass they need to Finally get off their asses and try something new.
Agree 👍
As a Slowpoke fan, that Palmon doesn’t look like my precious pink child
Looks more like Clodsire or Stunfisk to me.
Mistakes found:
Lamball's Partner Skill does not include a handgun.
Comparing Snorlax with Mozzarina
Pretty much all the comparisons
Assuming a lawsuit is remotely likely
Assuming cruel Pal treatment is encouraged
Conclusion: Not a very good comparison
Yeah, you can tell this video script was written by someone whose kissing pokemon's butt so hard they can't see the merits of Pal world and just assume others will dislike the new game. Even though Pal World is extremely fun and something most should experience, its what pokemon should be and what gamefreak will never give us.
How they go from a game that turned off time when you climbed a ladder with out of place looking tree's to saying "Oh Nintendo is just going to send lawyers at them" is such a stretch when Nintendo cannot do that at all.
