Even the Saints were playing him sparingly knowing this.

Barry Sanders was amazing. But I still don't think he was better than AP in his prime. AP was a freight train his first couple years, and even with all that power he was fast as hell. I think if you compare Barry and AP both when they were at their best, AP was slightly better but not by much.

Every time I see Saquon, I think of Peterson. He has the same style. And the same talent. He CAN be as good if not better than him. But intangibles will be very important. AP isn't just a great talent, he was a force. He tore his ACL AND MCL, and came back the next year and did the best year from a RB ever. Saquon still has ALOT to prove. But I believe he will get there, he seems to have the determination and grit. AP thinks so too, he said it himself 💯

It’s so amazing how in a split second that man could negotiate the best run line and then fearlessly run it at full speed. The things AP did is something you can teach or learn. That’s natural raw talent. Amazing human being.

First play, safety had an angle on him but it didn’t matter. This man was ridiculous and that’s why he’s my favorite runningback of all time. No one else in history had the blend of speed, power, agility and raw athleticism this man had. And beyond all that, he has amazing work ethic especially after having a supposedly career ending injury, comes back the next year and had the best performance by a runningback ever, idc if he was 9 yards short of the record. He was simply unbelievable
