Then, in 2018, after eking out a last minute spot with the Redskins, he became the oldest man in 34 years to rush for over 1,000 yards (Riggins did it with the same team in 1984 at age 35). Remarkable story of continuous redemption. But even without the great comebacks, statistically, Adrian's still a 1st ballot HOFer. I put him in the "1st tier" of all-time great running backs with Brown, Sanders, Payton, Dickerson, and Simpson (Campbell, Smith, Tomlinson, Sayers, Davis, and Faulk round out the next tier - roughly in that order).
I LOVE A Peterson - Fantastic HF Career. Only stain was his Failure in the NFC Championship game against the Saints - Fumbled inside the Saints 5 - just before Halftime - (another fumble later) - Should've taken that Vikings Team to a Super Bowl! Still a great back and a terrific video! Good Job!
