Martina McBride & Linda Ronstadt - Blue Bayou "duet"

Linda Ronstadt's cover of this Roy Orbison classic was recorded for her 1977 Simple Dreams album. Martina McBride's version was only available during the iTunes pre-order for her 2007 album Waking Up Laughing.
Linda was my favorite female vocalist in the 70s & 80s, and her cover of Blue Bayou was my favorite song that she sang. I was lucky enough to hear Martina perform this song in Apr 2000 at the very first Martina concert that I attended. A good friend used music editing software to merge Linda's & Martina's studio versions to create a "duet".
I hope you enjoy this digital duet as much as I do. I would have loved to have seen my 2 favorite singers perform this song together on stage and in the studio!

Beautiful duet Miss Linda and Miss Martina that is just great. I loved, to hear the princess and La Linda witch she all ways going to be Linda no matter. What .and l a'm going to say again it was just great, God blessed both pretty voices.

Nicely done and thank you for posting. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I too enjoyed Linda singing this back in the day, and Martina is my favorite singer now. Nice duet, if only it could be.
