Squirrel Girl is probably my favorite Marvel superhero. People hate on her way too much when all she is is a running gag. Her solo run was great, good fun. Sure, when DP does it, everyone loves him, but when my girl and Chippy do it, it's an issue. They're just comics, folks. Go read some Alan Moore if you prefer the edge.

Squirrel Girl carries the Silver Age with her. I suppose that makes her a reality warper of sorts, but her accomplishments and actions harken back to the glorious age of comics where heroes made up whatever powers they needed to win the day.

Nah, that was the joke when Dan Slott took her out of obscurity and made her relevant. After she was given her own series and Ryan North took over, her confrontations started being actually interestingly written. She almost never beats anyone off-panel by now, her thing now is that she ends half the fights without fighting, she talks to the villains and they resolve their problems through dialogue. Of course, that doesn't work with everyone, that's where the other half comes in.

@@ichheieelsenorandorayashi4824 She's also one of Marvel's main paragons of what a hero's phylosophy should be, like, Captain America and Spider-Man level of paragon. Since she was given her own series in 2015 she has been an actually pretty interesting and well-written character *beyond* the joke.

I love Dorreen, but she always gets so much hate, so I'm ready for it. I love her, I love everything about her. I recently read the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comics and she is so smart, and thinks outside the box, and so funny and friendly and kind. Its not even that she defeats villains by beating them up, she tries to change their ways first, tries to become their friend and empathise with them; then resorts to violence. How great is that?!! But know one seems to think that that counts as "beating the villain" pfffttt, whatever, I want to see you try to talk down a psychopath.

I think every villain/super villain in the marvel universe has a phobia of squirrels. Personally, I think Anna Kendrick would make an excellent Squirrel Girl in the MCU.

There is a feet in the role-playing system Legends of Anglerre called "rocks fall, you live" which works like this: if your character faces a situation where they would die but this situation happens "off screen/off-panel", for example, you charge into an army to give your party a chance to escape. Then if the events follow the party, not your character you can expend this feet to claim your character lived and have them meet up with the other with no explanation. It seems Squirrel Girl has this ability but can use it more than once
I'd guess squirrel girl is a reality warper, but she doesn't really know about it. If they focused more on that part of her character, I think it would make for pretty interesting storylines.

How many times do Marvel have characters kill opponents that are way out of their league in complete contradiction to canon? Not only are they repeating the same 'joke' but with a diffetent hero, they then repeat the joke with a different victim ad nauseum.
Mike Munoz . Someone cares way too much about canon. To make everyone happy, they should have just left her feats in her own books where people don't have to get upset over it. She could still appear in other books, but it wouldn't affect canon, and you can still have her be unbeatable.
