This was neither a pointless video nor a total waste of time... it was just what i needed to hear today. Thank you for that!

Not to take away from the gravity of the topic of the video, but you remind me of Ricky Gervais. You have that fantastic below the surface humor that can't but break through as funny cynicism! One can't look away. Keep it up young man!

like your video and message. i have the opposite of boring living in nyc. it's overcrowded, overwhelming and overshot. street photography can be very difficult for those opposite reasons. i'm now looking into macro photography, still life photography and abstract photography. this can be done at any time and any place.i suggest if you can't do street photography for whatever reason, find another type of photography that can be worked into your schedule. do a search for "types of photography" for some ideas. anyways. good luck with the new digs. and take lots of before photos, and lots of after photos. this can be used in one of your videos, and it will give you some photo time. ;)

As a qualified procrastinator I fully endorse your words of wisdom, I'm sitting here in front of my my work laptop with my mind wandering hither and yon wondering where I can go this weekend with my trusty camera, and as if by divine intervention I happen upon your latest upload! I still don't know where I'm going to go with my trusty camera but at least now I can stop kicking myself in the feelies about not having a destination in mind. Incidentally I could almost smell the pungent whiff of stale animal p*ss in your back room, that's going to take a lot of Domestos......

Yeah it’s rough when you work so much.
I genuinely think it’s easier if you set yourself a general aim though.
Only shooting with a shallow depth of field. Only using a long prime etc.

What is the difference between "changing things up," changing and "changing things down?"

I have to tell you, I make my living repairing occupied homes for real estate companies. And with the real estate boom in Florida and people offering us triple what we paid for it I’m ready to sell it and never fix anything again in it or pay property tax ever again.

It’s been like that here throughout the pandemic too but I’m not sure if those ridiculous mark ups are still going on.
