I would say that the fact that the summoned dremoras won't turn hostile *is* lore friendly. If you summon a daedra with a spell, you must wrest its will under your command, and anything that breaks your hold over it will let it seek revenge. In this case, however, the dremora actually obeys the will of Sanguine, not the player character, although the will of Sanguine in this case is to do the player character's bidding.
And Sanguine Rose wouldn't be the first Daedric Artifact to have its power altered during the time between Oblivion and Skyrim. The Skull of Corruption, for example.
When you're in a place with many enemies that are further away than you can be sure you can accurately hit even at higher levels your conjurations can't spawn as far as the staff will. Like it can spawn through so many gates as long as you're pointing at the furthest possible surface. I use the thing to figure out how far away an enemy is, as well as how strong it might be based on how quickly it takes for them to defeat it

A small minor amendment for finding Sam Guevenne; Sam Guevenne will always spawns within the same hold you are currently in when reaching level 14. he will never spawn randomly (apart from what tavern he will appear in within the hold)unless the spawn requirements have glitched. once you have made sure for his spawn location, he will be fixed there until you activated the quest
Here's some real questions for you: Why does everybody in Skyrim sound the same? Why do all the children look the same? HOW DOES THE COURIER KNOW WHERE YOU ARE EXACTLY?!

I literally made a build revolving solely around using what you find in the world. Scrolls, staves, potions, etc. And the rose coupled with the Wabbajack was my end game combo. Played it for tens of hours never got bored.

Camelworks there one last unique weapon you did not know there is an Orcish warhammer called the longhammer which has the highest swing speed in the game to get this weapon you'll next to the dead corpse of Rahd which looks like a bar tender in liar's retreat the only problem is that lowest part of the dungeon when facing the last falmer and its pet chaurus hunter yes there is falmer you will have to fight along the way in this dungeon so do take care

Just Noob Daedric artifacts, just like the planes of Oblivion, are actually parts of their Daedric Prince. In other words, holding a Wabbajack is basically holding Sheogorath himself. Daedric Princes like any Daedra have a vestige instead of a soul. Which mean when one of them dies, instead going to Aetherius, they go to the void until they can materialize in one of Oblivion planes.
They know that the demon will flatten them and torture their souls in oblivion without breaking a sweat, so they attack you to try and get it to disappear
Fun fact: if ur feeling merciful, you don’t have to kill Grok the giant. Simply fus him and run away. You can return after giving the goat back and Grok will not only be alive but still friendly towards you. You walk right up and he won’t attack.
I like the idea of making a “Dremora Lord” build. Dark Elf, heavy armor, Conjure Dremora Lord spell, Conjure Battleaxe spell, and of course, the Sanguine Rose. Roll up into a bandit camp with two of your bros, wreathed in fire, they’re gonna run like hell.
This is one of my favourite weapons and quests in the game. It's my go to 'nope' weapon. When I come across a room full of drauger deathlords I just summon my dremora so I can snipe from a corner. I'm a wimp lol

I literally got drunk, forgot about the quest, did an intimidate on the girl asking for the ring, then stumbled into him while roaming and completing the quest. To say I was lost and completely confused would be an understatement
The maximum level Rose Dremora is actually way stronger then the Dremora Lord summon, Rose Dremora hits a lot harder. It'll be even better if you pair up that Rose Dremora with the Wrathman if you have the Twins Souls perk. That is an awesome combination of a DPS Heavy Hitter "Rose Dremora" and Health Sponge Tank "Wrathman" (:

I doubt what he gave us was any normal alcohol it was something to make a God drunk and we downed it like someone with the soul of a dragon would
He doesn't show up at any random inn/tavern, he shows up at the one closest to you when you turn level 14. So if you turn level 14 in winterhold, he'll be at the Frozen Hearth, if you turn level 14 in Solitude/Haafingar, he'll show up at the Winking Skeever, etc. He never changes locations after he spawns
This quest is why I can't marry Ysolda; early on, at least. It is SO immersion breaking to have your wife talk to you about your upcoming wedding to a hag. Also, now I have to download the mod that restores the inn at the Fort, THANKS CAMEL :P
By far my favorite "weapon" in the game .. summon a Daedra thru a locked gate (to battle) summon a Daedra 50 ft away down a dark hall (to battle or draw out what ever is in front of you) summon a Daedra down a mountain,up a mountain 500 ft away ..summon a Daedra down the Dwemmer stairs or deep into spider lairs,to kill or weaken them . Ive done this quest 25+ times (usually as soon as i hit level 14 -probably the 1st thing i do) and id say 20 of 25 times ive found Sam Guennivre inside the Bannered Mare in Whiterun .. If you are looking for Sam G this is a great place to start

I beat this quest by accident when I did the drinking contest then forgot about the whole thing. I ended up killing moira when I was exploring, and then I got a quest marker saying to do the rest of the quest.

He mentioned that it wasn't lore friendly that the dremora will always fight for you and never turn against you. I wouldn't be so sure. I mean, the staff was given to you by Sanguine himself. This might be true with any basic spell or staff that summons a dremora, but when that dremora's boss wants it to cooperate with you, I don't think it'll complain too much, considering what the punishment for insubordination is in the plains of Oblivion.

I remember the first time I got this staff. I missed out on most of the quest, but it convinced me to make my Thief character, into a Conjuration Thief.
actually, he doesn't appear randomly. he appears in the first tavern/inn, in that list, that you visited in your playthrough. (basically, whiterun. who walks anywhere else other than whiterun first thing)
It seems to me Camel went into the Frozen Hearth at level ten, completely missed Sam, then randomly came back and noticed him for the first time at level fourteen.
Nicholas Epsilon So far in every single one of my playthroughs where I did that quest, he was in Rorikstead and that says something because a) I usually only land there by coincidence, on the way to someplace more interesting, and b) I thought it was supposed to be a random encounter so why is it always that tavern for me? Also, the last time I met him, he wore a dwemer mage outfit for some fucking reason.
Ah it works kind of like in oblivion how you can create spells you could use that to level other skills. You could make summon spells that attack you and use that to level block and armor skills, or summon spells and attack the summon much like this. There were ways to train almost every skill
Camel I believe I have something for you to try. If you manage to get this Quest before you actually go to Markarth, you should be able to kill the Assassin in the merchants' section. Where you first walk into the city.
Just realised this if really useful for stealthy builds, too. Lydia is getting me detected 24/7 but I can just sneak my way anywhere and in situations where I can't sneak up on anything and I HAVE to fight something I can whip out the staff and summon a trusty dremora wherever I am
Firstly, If you know where you are going you can skip large chunks of this quest. I don't know if you can go straight to Morvunskar, but you can certainly go straight from the Temple where you wake up to the Witchmist Grove for the ring. I'd started the quest, but not continued it when the main quest had me go to Kynesgrove just north of Witchmist and I ran into Moira on the way over with the ring without even having gone to Rorikstead or spoke to Ysolda. Useful if you aren't up for giant-slaying yet. Secondly, three things I've found with this that is worth noting, but didn't appear in the vid. 1. Like any conjuring spell, the Atronauch stone can get in the way. If the RNG goes against you, you'll get mana instead of an assistant. Can be a problem if you a melee fighter who is getting mangled by archers and was looking to drop the Dremora on them only to reveal yourself and get nothing but a quick trip to the Loading screen. 2. The summoning range is very high compared to most summoning spells. You can sit on a safe cliff somewhere off to one side, drop the Dremora into a camp below and watch the show. If it dies/disappears, summon another. 3. The summoned Dremora doesn't seem to care about the invisibility of the boss at the end of the Blindsighted quest making getting the key much, much easier. It will head straight over to him and either severely wound or kill him without him even reaching you (and if he managed to take out the Dremora, just summon another one). Haven't tried it on hardest difficulty, but it made the fight a cakewalk on the others.
I got this staff I didn't know what it did because I was still wrapping my head around the quest so I forgot that I had it in a quest I was back to the wall and was trying to use everything at my disposal and that staff saved my life I had no idea that I even had it or what it does

The Sanquine Rose is the best sidekick there is. I go back and forth with Lydia and Marcurio as followers but if I am alone or with a follower I always have the Rose with me. It's great for far off enemies, he just decimates them.

The attack stat of 0 pry comes from the staff effect, whatever it may be, being triggered by an attack, if it had more than 0 DMG and knockback it would smack nearby enemies with every cast.

I must be the luckiest person ever because in every game I've played through, Sam Guevenne is always in the Bannered Mare. 30+ different characters now and every last one has gained their 14th level around Whiterun.
If anyone was wondering he spawns at the closest in to you when you turn level 14. For instance if you are level 50 and turned level 14 near riftens inn he will still be there. Also I'm early.
I actually only ever encounter Sam in the bannered mare in whiterun. Like, ever. I've never met him in another tavern in my game, nor saw his encounter in any other tavern than the bannered mare in LPs. I honestly believed, that you only ever encounter him there.

Sanguine Rose is an absolute lifesaver if you’re playing a pure magic user at lower levels.

I beat this quest by accident when I did the drinking contest then forgot about the whole thing. I ended up killing moira when I was exploring, and then I got a quest marker saying to do the rest of the quest.

I've always found Sam Guevenne in the Bee and Barb. Would hate for him to appear in the Stumbling Sabrecat after it get' boarded up by the Civil War.

He mentioned that it wasn't lore friendly that the dremora will always fight for you and never turn against you. I wouldn't be so sure. I mean, the staff was given to you by Sanguine himself. This might be true with any basic spell or staff that summons a dremora, but when that dremora's boss wants it to cooperate with you, I don't think it'll complain too much, considering what the punishment for insubordination is in the plains of Oblivion.

I gave this to Serana and she uses it about 90% of the time. I can just loot while those two take care of almost everyone. Awesome perk this one.
Not sure if it's a glitch but upon revisiting Morvunskar and fighting in the room where the magical anomaly was, I've seen Sanguine show up to help fight the mages there

I remember the first time I got this staff. I missed out on most of the quest, but it convinced me to make my Thief character, into a Conjuration Thief.

actually, he doesn't appear randomly.
he appears in the first tavern/inn, in that list, that you visited in your playthrough.
(basically, whiterun. who walks anywhere else other than whiterun first thing)

It seems to me Camel went into the Frozen Hearth at level ten, completely missed Sam, then randomly came back and noticed him for the first time at level fourteen.
Nicholas Epsilon So far in every single one of my playthroughs where I did that quest, he was in Rorikstead and that says something because a) I usually only land there by coincidence, on the way to someplace more interesting, and b) I thought it was supposed to be a random encounter so why is it always that tavern for me? Also, the last time I met him, he wore a dwemer mage outfit for some fucking reason.

Ah it works kind of like in oblivion how you can create spells you could use that to level other skills. You could make summon spells that attack you and use that to level block and armor skills, or summon spells and attack the summon much like this. There were ways to train almost every skill
As soon as u hit level 14 go to white run tavern and u will find him every time
You don't have to do a Pub Crawl across Skyrim. Once you hit level 14 he appears in the first Tavern you enter and stays there until you do his quest.
Camel I believe I have something for you to try. If you manage to get this Quest before you actually go to Markarth, you should be able to kill the Assassin in the merchants' section. Where you first walk into the city.

Just realised this if really useful for stealthy builds, too. Lydia is getting me detected 24/7 but I can just sneak my way anywhere and in situations where I can't sneak up on anything and I HAVE to fight something I can whip out the staff and summon a trusty dremora wherever I am
Well, I know what weapon I should acquire next.
Firstly, If you know where you are going you can skip large chunks of this quest. I don't know if you can go straight to Morvunskar, but you can certainly go straight from the Temple where you wake up to the Witchmist Grove for the ring. I'd started the quest, but not continued it when the main quest had me go to Kynesgrove just north of Witchmist and I ran into Moira on the way over with the ring without even having gone to Rorikstead or spoke to Ysolda. Useful if you aren't up for giant-slaying yet.
Secondly, three things I've found with this that is worth noting, but didn't appear in the vid.
1. Like any conjuring spell, the Atronauch stone can get in the way. If the RNG goes against you, you'll get mana instead of an assistant. Can be a problem if you a melee fighter who is getting mangled by archers and was looking to drop the Dremora on them only to reveal yourself and get nothing but a quick trip to the Loading screen.
2. The summoning range is very high compared to most summoning spells. You can sit on a safe cliff somewhere off to one side, drop the Dremora into a camp below and watch the show. If it dies/disappears, summon another.
3. The summoned Dremora doesn't seem to care about the invisibility of the boss at the end of the Blindsighted quest making getting the key much, much easier. It will head straight over to him and either severely wound or kill him without him even reaching you (and if he managed to take out the Dremora, just summon another one). Haven't tried it on hardest difficulty, but it made the fight a cakewalk on the others.

I got this staff I didn't know what it did because I was still wrapping my head around the quest so I forgot that I had it in a quest I was back to the wall and was trying to use everything at my disposal and that staff saved my life I had no idea that I even had it or what it does

The Sanquine Rose is the best sidekick there is. I go back and forth with Lydia and Marcurio as followers but if I am alone or with a follower I always have the Rose with me. It's great for far off enemies, he just decimates them.
actually he can turn hostile if you give the staff to a companion and he or she dies while the dremora is summoned as you are not his master and the said master is dead he will attack you also
The attack stat of 0 pry comes from the staff effect, whatever it may be, being triggered by an attack, if it had more than 0 DMG and knockback it would smack nearby enemies with every cast.

Kay so watching this and at the "you should make a youtube channel" i though. Him ans Sheogath would probably be one of the best and funniest channels ever while making memes every video with out so many puns.
I must be the luckiest person ever because in every game I've played through, Sam Guevenne is always in the Bannered Mare. 30+ different characters now and every last one has gained their 14th level around Whiterun.

If anyone was wondering he spawns at the closest in to you when you turn level 14. For instance if you are level 50 and turned level 14 near riftens inn he will still be there.

I actually only ever encounter Sam in the bannered mare in whiterun. Like, ever.
I've never met him in another tavern in my game, nor saw his encounter in any other tavern than the bannered mare in LPs.
I honestly believed, that you only ever encounter him there.
Honestly I wish you could just pay off the ring and marry Moira because imagine the potion ingredients
