Woah, a unique weapon guide for a weapon I've actually never seen before with a unique enchantment. Even after thousands of hours in Skyrim there's still something new to find, love it.
You realize Dawnbreaker is a daedric artifact given to you by a daedra who made a pact with the Ayleids to enslave humanity in the first era, right? "Paladin" my ass.
Both Meridia and Azura are technically "good" daedra (and Meridia isn't really a Daedra, she's a Magna-ge, one of the Children of Magnus, the God of Magic and Architect of Nirn), but if you encounter Vigilants randomly they'll demand that you hand both Dawnbreaker and the Star to them.
@@Sacremas Is that a part of a mod? I have the Star with me always on every playthrough, both the Black and Azura's Star, and I've never had them ask for it.
@@owlrecluse2234 No it should be vanilla game, however I'm not sure if perhaps the Star isn't marked with daedric artifact keywords without Unofficial Patch (don't have Skyrim installed right now to check), so if anything changes it that's the one.
Like Literally You're being wayyy to generous. The game is at least, 8-11 years away unless something changes with BGS' release plan. Because they said that there will be 2 new games before ESVI.
Triss Merigold things can change. If I remember correctly they are waiting for the next gen of consoles. So it could very well be 4-5 years. Nobody but them knows.
Why would you ever use this if you alrdy have Dawnbreaker tho? Unless you're going dual wield build.. but my OCD would not allow different weapon types equipped in my hands.. there must be symmetry! DW builds in Skyrim suck compared to sword n board imo.. theres too many good shield perks. If you're going for a RP playthru as a Paladin, I think the rune shield would be a better choice.. even tho it kinda sucks.
Wow. I am actually glad the enchantment of the axe doesn't reset come dawn. If it did, I'd have to keep killing undead 24/7 just to keep the weapon somewhat useful when encountering them. It'd also be a huge grind-fest and I'd honestly probably just throw the weapon away as soon as it resets lol. Whomever decided to put that feature in (where the enchantment resets everyday) is a complete and total jackass xd. And whoever decided to 'secretly' put it out is an absolute saviour in my eyes.
I'd say if it did reset it would ruin the item. 100 extra points is a lot, but you need to kill 100 undead to get it. Fully charge it and it will be quite a strong weapon. On the other hand, if it reset every day, most dungeons with undead, if you used it on every enemy, you'd get a charge on it that against the boss, maybe would be equal to something you could enchant yourself. As it is, even late game it is a good weapon when fighting undead. If it reset every day it wouldn't be worth getting, you might as well enchant one of the many Dawnguard War Axes in the fort with Fire Damage and using that instead.
@@angusking1593or better yet stahlrim weapons with an even wiser method, weakness to magic/destruction potions. @Son Gohan That's what I used to do, but my game kept giving me to same location. which is fine if you don't care what city your in. But say you have 3 of the 4 cities done, and one quest for the forth to go. it gets really frustrating when it keeps giving you places you've already taken back. Sure trucking through, makes you rich ingame. but if you want the Master Armor (which for me. is my second favorite armor. Next to DB DLC's Deathbrand) You need to have all cities under TG control. Because my RL Job takes up most of my daily time, giving me only 2 to 3 hours playtime, before needing to sleep. You can see why I go with the quick reload method, it's quicker most of the time (though i admit it can also take a very long time some days, I also play on the xbox, so i can't console command those quests) most of the time i find it quicker.
@@narosedraconis2424 It's even worse if you have the Special Edition, at least on Switch like I do. upgrade it to legendary, have necro mage, add chaos damage , have every destruction damage amplifying perks, buff one handed damage gear max. the illusion perk that boosts fears ( works with the fire damage perk and you gain more damage) 1 shot harkon on legendary. if i am not mistaken this does more damage to most undead than a stalrihm maxed out weapon due to how most undead are nords (draugr/reanimated) or vampires which resist frost.
Yup - still playing Skyrim in 2019. Cool axe - cool enchantment - cool AOE. However - learning Chaos enchantment is still the "end all / be all" enchantment for any weapon IMO. Great vid --- Thanks !
Soul Trap is pretty cool too imo. I put it on my Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow. Anything that dies within 10 seconds goes into a Soul Gem...and everything usually dies instantly. Makes it so much easier to fill my soul gems, that way I have plenty to enchant weapons and armor to sell! I don't think I've seen the Chaos enchantment yet, though. What does that do?

My guess is that the reset occurs only if the specified amount of time passes in real time, i.e. not waiting or sleeping. Much in the same way that active effects will not count down based on waiting, perhaps the axe won't either.
This, the hammer, the shield, Auriel's Bow and Dawnbreaker make for an arsenal worthy of any slayer of the undead; why am I suddenly thinking of Buffy Summers?
I haw a perk overhaul that has a perk in archeri that in combat after i shot the bow i also lanch a spel with a sligt deley. Maybi a should svap the spel i curently haw. :D
So, can we get a quest on how to summon that dremora merchant from Solsthiem? I found an unlimited gold cheat. Get Cicero as a follower, and take his armor by trading with him. It respawns. Then you sell unlimited amounts to the merchant, and get enough gold to buy his strong weapons and armor.
...Still waiting on Wuuthrad... Please Camelworks! It's one of my favorite weapons in the game and I've been waiting over a year since you started this series. I really feel the Elf-Slayer deserves a video. Great video. Hope Wuuthrad can have its time in the limelight soon! (^_^)
Hey Camel not sure about this but when doing the thieves Guild restoration quests you can autosave after accepting it and if the quest is in a city you don't need you can quickload and repeat. Maybe you could test and see if this works for the dawnguard axe so you don't have to do 19 side quests sometimes.
Personally glad the axe doesn't reset-- really makes it an actually viable and useful weapon. Especially for vampire hunters or certain builds that hunt undead
I looked in the CK, and the enchantment it uses has ten stages of magnitude from 10 to 100. it gets a global variable 'DLC1UndeadKilled' and uses that to choose which stage it should use. There's nothing anywhere that I could see to trigger a reset. So if you killed 15 undead creatures you'd still be doing 10 sun damage. edit: there's another enchantment on the axe that uses a magic effect which increases the undeadkilled counter if you kill an actor with the undeadType keyword. I still don't see anything that would reset this value.
Actually, if you save your game before turning in a quest, you can turn in a quest, ask if anyone needs help, and if it isn't the quest you want, reload, and repeat until you get the quest you want.
Maybe when it says reset it just takes away 100 from the count, so if you killed lets say 1000 undead it would last 10 day. Just because the damage caps doesn't mean the kill count does. Like the Boon power that heals all stats 1000 even tho it says it heals all stats fully

I like dual-wielding this baby with a dagger since it's kind of a bit slow to my preference. My build was dual-wielding Nord berseker (pure DPS) supported with 3 crafting classes (alchemy, enchanting and smithing). Sprinting power attacks will almost guarantee a one-hit kill (you know how OP dual-wielding power attack bonus perk is).
You also can get 2 dawnbreakers bye simply shouting unrelenting force at it to knock it off the pedestal picking it up and the quest will not be complete until you activate the pedestal and receive a second dawnbreaker
And the most basic of test that could of been done was not done Using the wait command to wait till 3-4 am and then just standing there to see if the enchantment fades in most cases there are a few things the kinda get a tiny exploity with the wait command like the transformations you can wait during werewolf for it to run out and it may or may not run out faster in other times it can be used to semi extend the transformation by waiting like every 2 seconds or so.
Pretty sure you just gotta do the two side quests for those two Dawnguard blacksmiths that are back by the troll cages to trigger this.. or maybe that's how it works once you reach a certain level. It seemed straight forward to me getting the quest.. like it was a logical quest chain.
I binged all your fallout 4 unique weapons videos and so I was waiting for you to be like “before we check out the stats of the weapon I have disabled all of my bobble head perk and magazine effects-“
I have a weapon with the chaos enchantment and each one (fire, ice and lighting) deal 90 damage each time they successfully hit. Then with a regular enchantment. (fire enchantment) i deal. An additional 60 fire damage. And this is all on a deadric weapon. But that's not important. What's important is that with the right perks and 100 enchanting. The chaos damage enchantment is by far the best in the game.
I am sooooo looking forward to seeing the Blackreach video because I would love to hear your take on some of the awesome things to be found therein. 🙄😉😁🙄😄🤔🤔🤑🙃
Camel could the game be running an "if time == 5:00" check and waiting skips from 4:30 to 5:30 thus never actually listing 5:00 exactly? Try not waiting over 5:00
Yeah its rather odd that it does only Undead Sun Damage like the Sun spells instead of Sun damage plus Undead Sun Damage like Auriels Bow. They skimped a little on the light explosion.
First time I did the Vampire Hunter build from fudgemuppet after I max out all the stats I ended up using the green shield Rune hammer and the room war axe altogether to add more to the holy build
You ever wonder what part of the engine makes weird glitches like resetting enchants or weird things like getting unobtainable items happen? Because there seems to be little consistency.
If I stand by your reasoning that I can not judge a game until I myself have created a AAA title then that itself lends itself to my previous comment. Another example of your extremely flawed reasoning would be me not being able to judge the speed of my CPU until I myself create something of higher quality with the same resources the company had.
This axe will really rune your enemies day.

Why do you have a mod that makes Draugr more busty?
Sometime I forget how violent Skyrim actually is
Happy birthday to me, celebrating #18 with an epic video from camelworks
Camel could the game be running an "if time == 5:00" check and waiting skips from 4:30 to 5:30 thus never actually listing 5:00 exactly? Try not waiting over 5:00
Yeah its rather odd that it does only Undead Sun Damage like the Sun spells instead of Sun damage plus Undead Sun Damage like Auriels Bow. They skimped a little on the light explosion.
I Think my paladin wants a new toy
This and Windshear have to be the most OP weapons in the game.
Love how the vampires went flying😂 Off I go for this weapon.
I love these videos so much!
Beautiful graphics, thank you for sharing.
with disenchanting mod u can put that enchant on ur fav weapon
Maybe it only resets if you're not "waiting" during that time. There are a few other things that work like that as well.
I was today years old when I realized you can kill your own undead summons and it count so if you summon anytype of skeleton it works
This may be the overall best weapon in skyrim. Unless, like you said, "cook one up yourself. But as a quest item or artifact, might be the best one
this video makes me want to re-build my crazy holy pyromancer arcane warrior build.
First time I did the Vampire Hunter build from fudgemuppet after I max out all the stats I ended up using the green shield Rune hammer and the room war axe altogether to add more to the holy build
Thanks dude i was thinking about doing a dawngaurd warrior where i use dawgaurd items only
The chaos enchantment can reach 300 or more damage for each element completely legitimately without abuse of the game. Enjoy
Camel works rules. Thanks brother
You ever wonder what part of the engine makes weird glitches like resetting enchants or weird things like getting unobtainable items happen? Because there seems to be little consistency.
Rune axe + dawnbreaker + fire breath shout = very bad day
Had the volume up to loud and the beginning music blasted my eardrums. ouch
whats the mod name for those finisher moves
YES more Skyrim content!!!
AAA Multi-million dollar development team right here
A multi million dollar dev team comprised of about 100 people. Cut them some slack.
+Andrew Kramer Until you make a better AAA video game title with only 100 people, you have no right to complain about such things.
By that reasoning until I become a professional cyclist I can't condone the actions of Lance Armstrong
+Andrew Kramer Lol...you said it, not me. Btw, what does Lance Armstrong have to do with Skyrim being buggy?
If I stand by your reasoning that I can not judge a game until I myself have created a AAA title then that itself lends itself to my previous comment. Another example of your extremely flawed reasoning would be me not being able to judge the speed of my CPU until I myself create something of higher quality with the same resources the company had.
This plus dawnbreaker is my go to undead combo. Destroys all
This is legendary
Just wondering does it also carry the effect that basic Dawnguard War Axes have of doing additional damage to vampires?
