Yeaahhhh, Polestar 💪💪
Nice, my LRSM will hopefully show up mid march. Can’t wait for my road-trip to Norway next summer :)
Sure that'll be awesome ❤ We drove 20 hours through Norway yesterday and couldn't be more happy with ours ❤
My 2022 Kona EV I get 365 km range in the winter and 475 km range in the summer in Toronto. I gets pretty cold in Jan, Feb and I'm satisfied with 365km range.
Interesting how thirsty it is. I have a 2023 Dual Motor on 19s. On an 800km autobahn trip with cruise control set to 125-135 kmh, a few harder pulls and heated seats, I still only got 22kwh/100km
Finally 😎
Kris, please give us some nice weather range tests. My area seldom has a temperature below 10 C. Thanks again for the nice content.
Well I can’t control the weather 😅🙈 And in January and February it’s get really cold and snowy here in Oslo. So you’ll have to wait until march for test in milder weather 😊
hmmm performance or long range :) AWESOME REVIEW! as an Owner of an XC40 ICE! this is intriguing
Kris pls test the 69Kwh SM SR. Thank you
I love this car🥰🥰🥰
Yeah it’s great 🤩
Absolutely love it, picked my PP 23 up yesterday! Charged it to 90%, drove for 4 hours and still had 16% left 👍🏼
Hey Kris, appreciate your work 🙏🏼 ❤️
@@leluyaa Did you do a lot of city driving? 99% got me "only" 250 km in 3h modest autobahn driving (down to 20%)
@@rowdy6274 Received the car charged up to 100%, but the battery was cold ❄️ Drove through the Norwegian mountains, some country roads for a few hours until I had about 30% left. Charged to 90% while the battery was 'hot', then proceeded to drive those 4 hours in mixed speeds ranging from 40-60-80-110 kph: Impressed by the low consumption 👍🏼
But then again my friend, you are talking about the autobahn 🙃🤭
@@leluyaa sounds great, how many kilometers did you do that day?
I travelled at 125-135 kmh depending on the limit. Way less at construction sites, but also did some hard pulls / fast overtakes.
I ended up with 22 kWh / 100km, which I think is still very low
YASSSSSSS
Any guess what consumption I get in similar conditions on my 2023 SR SM?
pls tell
Pitch black? Really 😳 cant wait for the PoleStar3. You know when you get one to test?
Drove one and compared it to the i4 M50, it was hard not to go for the i4.
Please explain further, I'm considering ordering that one aaand maaaybe get it in 15 months 😅 It looks great! How's the range on those?
Price difference?
@@SS-yw7vo the i4 M50 was 718k NOK in the configuration I wanted including winter tyres, my wife eventually decided on the E40, which was 668k NOK, the Polestar 2 Performance was 840k NOK with winter tyres.
BMW gives you so much more choice in options when specifying the car.
The M50 was faster, charged quicker, larger boot, feels like a higher quality product, the E40 version isn’t much slower and has quite a lot kore range. Bjørn Nygard on his Sunday drive test took it to 670km well past BMW’s WLTP range.
The BMW was ordered last week with delivery scheduled in June.
@@MasterChief37 PP 840 NOK? Okay, but that's the Swedish price right? It costs around 620 in Norway + 40k if you want the Nappa seats
@@leluyaa yes you’re right it’s too early in the morning, and I’ve been looking at far too many cars in the past month and have my prices mixed up, 2 Performance with midnight blue paint, plus pack, nappy, winter tyres, tow bar, cables……is 690.
476hp 🙂 Yes! But only above 70% SoC , am I right? That brings me to another question regarding SoC and stated horsepower. I have ordered a 400hp XC40.... I believe that is on full charge under ideal conditions, just like with any other car brands. How fast does it drop in horsepower as you drain the battery, really, before turtlemode? Is the curve linear all the way down to 12%
I have a P2 with 400hp it does work really well above 70% it's true that you can tell it starts loosing power the further you go down BUT especially at higher speed the stop&go still feels the same until you're in turtle mode it's only when you floor it at higher speed that you feel it has less power but it still never feels slow I haven't run test or seen charts so I can't tell if it's linear or not but it really shouldn't be an issue or a deal breaker I believe the car doesn't loose more than 20% power until turtle mode it's not like old Tesla's that literally require double the time for 0-100 when getting at 30% I believe Bjørn has run some tests with the degradation of the acceleration on P2
Well I checked the video actually at 90% SoC he did with a 476hp P2 4.38s 0-100 and at 20% he did 4.88s 0-100. At 10 he did 5.7 tho but really I'm quite surprised perhaps it's because it has the Software Performance Update I would have said it'd loose a bit more.
I have an XC40 recharge and my experience with the car has been so far, the performance feels like 100% power levels up down to 70%. Performance loss feels very linear down to the 20% level. I havent driven down to 10% or lower to experince the turtle mode yet.
Surprised to see a big truck but that explains the bad driving behavior lol
Thanks, you set up the car in English, eventually 🙂
PS2 definitely needs more range to challenge some of the better models now (EV6, Ioniq5, Tesla obviously etc), and I’m looking forward to your LR test on 19s, which should be Polestar’s sweetspot.
Ioniq 5 gets less range in my tests….
@@KrisRifa Really? That genuinely surprises me (though I’ve always thought the EV6 was the better of the two). I really like the PS2 design and interior… but, if I could afford it, I’d go for PS3 or even Volvo’s EX90. If that wasn’t so damn expensive it’d probably be THE EV of 2023!
@@johnminshall242 yes, just search for it on my channel and you’ll see how the Ioniq 5 performed in this test 👍
Better models as far as range? Yes.. But that's it 👍🏼
How much range do you need?
PS2 is one the worst car to build in term of carbon footprint : 25 tons of CO2 per car !!!!
Link?
@@SS-yw7vo its 15 according to their own report, OP is probably salty that EVs > ICE
@@yesyesyesman757 OP was completely irrelevant. No link or anything and who cares.
And Tesla uses over 12 % of cobalt in the 4680 Cells according to an analysis!
It looks great, that is IT for me 👍🏼
Too many times "you know", getting annoying. Just saying because I think you don't even realise.
