Indeed. I mean, Bass Pro Shops carry everything from swimsuits and lifejackets, to high-end hiking boots and lightweight tents, to handguns and ammunition, to even boats and 4-wheelers at some locations. Bass Pro Shop will also occasionally keep donated record fish. There was a 3lb+ crappie caught in a lake in my state and it was donated to the Bass Pro aquarium so everyone can see it. They also host fishing classes and hunter education courses. Another thing others haven't mentioned missed in the video, the amount of boats they have on display. It varies by year and season (covid was a ghost town for boats), but right now my bass pro is overflowing with inventory.

That one in the Memphis pyramid is so weird-I’ve been to concerts there years ago. It looked kinda sad sitting there empty for years. I’m glad Bass Pro Shops bought it and actually used it for something relatively long-term. BP Shops are pretty cool, even if you’re not a big time hunter or fisherman. There’s one about 12 miles from me (in Little Rock, Arkansas) and I just like going to see the fish (before I go try to catch some of their relatives)!

I'm responding to this because I just visited this Bass Pro Shop in Memphis for the first time less than two months ago. I'm not an outdoor sportsman (hunter, fisherman), but this store was incredible. I've only worn Columbia PFG shirts for over four years now and have 22 different colors/prints of the exact same shirt, four of which we purchased at this venue, including my favorite tropical print. I was amazed at the variety of firearms available in this store, multiples times more than I've seen anywhere else, to include gun shows. I spent quite a bit of time talking to the clerk in the weapons section and he was so hospitable. I'm an American but I don't own a firearm and I never have, and this was the first time I almost felt guilty that I didn't. We enjoyed a number of sites in Memphis during our visit, but the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid is a must--you will be glad you did.

The Bass Pro shop he is touring (without showing the merchandise), is in the Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee. If you are going to Texas there are several locations here. Not all are going to be as large as this location, but as others have said the theming will be the outdoors and with similar features. I think all Bass Pro shops have a waterfall and fish tank as well as a pond or two.
Bass Pro also owns the Cabela's stores and those also provide a similar, if not quite as grand experience.

Bass Pro bought out it's major competitor Cabela's, so you will see both products in both stores. Since y'all are probably coming to Texas, there 14 stores in Texas. No matter which "big" city you go to, there will be one near for y'all to visit. Some are bigger than others, but all are very cool. The one in my city (Garland, TX.) overlooks the lake and even has it's own boat dock on the water. I have been fortunate enough to go to the "Granddaddy" of all in Springfield, Missouri. I've been to this bass pro shop before it's insansely cool! It has the tallest free-standing elevator, 300 feet, in the USA if I remember right and it's surrounded by an alligator enclosure. Plus, that huge artificial cypress swamp throughout the first floor is amazing, in some of the ponds theres huge sturgeon. When I was there, they had divers in the swamp doing maintenance work. The other time, guys were washing windows on the outside of the pyramid. The strangest thing was the live ducks that would swim around. I think they'd been clipped as I never saw any fly. However, they may be so used to people and can't go anywhere, so they dont, i dont know. Speaking of ducks not too far from the pyrimad is the famous Peabody Hotel, which also has ducks that live in the lobby's fountain. The ducks are escorted to and from their own duck penthouse located on the roof.

As a West Tennessee native, I remember when they put forth the proposal to build the Pyramid as a homage to the ancient Egyptian city, which Memphis was named after as both sit upon a river. When it first opened they used it for MidSouth Wrestling, The Rock got his start there. It did sit empty for years and there was talk of demolition until Bass Pro stepped in and turned it into it's largest store in America, along with Ducks Unlimited. I was happy the demolition plan was scrapped because the Pyramid is what makes the downtown skyline pop. I always know I'm coming when I see that building, whether from the air or come across the bridge from I40 West. You should come to Memphis, see the shop and experience the city.

Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's Sporting Goods were two major North American sporting goods brands that specialized in huge, destination shops for outdoor sportsmen......but they merged under a single ownership and now represent 170+ locations across the US and Canada. The Memphis store among the larger stores..but most of them are big enough to be pretty impressive. The original Bass Pro Shop is in Springfield, Missouri while the original Cabela's is in Sidney, Nebraska. They both have extensive fishing, hunting, and camping equipment at their locations....while many stores also have boating and recreational vehicle departments. They also have elaborate displays of mounted and live fish and wildlife that would be the envy of most natural history museums or theme parks.

There's also a store Cabela's that's like Bass Pro. Here around the north west Florida panhandle we have both. We go to the stores and then spring (cave) diving and fishing at either Vortex Springs, Morrison Springs, Ponce de Leon Springs, which is all within 15 miles of each other on the right roads... I'm a local (graduate of Ponce de Leon High). Come join us. You'll fit right in if you love the outdoors...we also have several LARGE rivers here.... rivers a half mile wide or bigger and we catfish all night or ride down to Panama in Bay county and do some shark fishing... during the summer there is no end to the things a outdoors man can do around this area.

The one in Memphis is unique and awesome. They are ALL really huge with most of the same stuff.
They have EVERYTHING. Even furniture and decor. Lots of great clothes.

If you do come to Texas and are close to the coast like Houston is Galveston is a little over an hour away.
There's all kinds of things to do there, including fishing, you can go to the fishing pier there and rent some poles.
It's best to go on a weekday to avoid the crowds. They have cameras on the the pier so you can see whats going on from your chair at home.
Just do a search for Galveston fishing pier cameras.

I've not been to one in a few years although we have a big one about 20 miles away in Clarksville, Indiana. But that one, large as it is looks dwarfed by the one in this video. Clarksville's is only 2 levels with the big aquarium and a stream running through the store. They have an indoor golf driving range I believe and the shooting arcade as well. And just about every item you could ever hope to see for hunting and fishing from lures to boats.

My husband had to be dragged out. We was in their all day😂 my best friend almost killed me when they was on vacation recently and I told her husband they was near it. They ended up going and she almost never got him out. Few thousand dollars later and some crying she finally got all his tears wiped and tricked him out 😂😂❤ it’s really nice!
