I’ve been using these for a while now, specifically the inline leads for my solid bag work in conjunction with there drop off kit/run rig system. Can’t fault em, evolve tackle has some great bits of other tackle as well.
Save yourself some money by not dropping the lead when there is absolutely no fecking need most of the time. The numpties I see dropping every single time on a lake I fish, bottom is gravel all over without a snag in sight and the fish only go to mid 20s. It's just another 'fashionable thing to do' because that's what all the so called experts/companies think it's what you should do while they line their pockets with every fish you catch. Carp fishing has all got ridiculously complicated and full of tackle tarts. Keep it simple, it's cheaper and you'll probably catch more fish.
I’ve been using the pallatrax stones for last two years , can’t fault them , but these look good , totally agree about lead being banned, dropping lead does have its place but not every time, just my opinion, happy new year to one and all🥂🎣🎣
@@goplanit : I didn’t know they still were for sale. I had some free stuck to the front of a magazine when they first came out .They were never going to take off. I threw mine in the lake in an attempt to cover the discarded leads that some uncaring angler had dumped.😂😂😂
Love em,why not, environmentally friendly, everyone should be using these,I definitely will be,well done lads, can you have them orderd for delivery or just pop in shop?
They look nicely finished but massive in size. Rather than wholesale bans I’d prefer to see some data and proper research on say carp waters where there are a higher likelihood of dropped leads. Let’s see how much lead is actually leaching out of fishing weights and have some data about lead content in water. The results might be so insignificant to the point where there might not be a need to ban lead… there is equally the flip side where the levels are high and they are risk to human health. Let’s see the results and have the discussions
Not to happy that lead may be banned. The cost will definitely increase. Same happened to shotgun amo over water. The replacement are not as good as lead. shot cartridges. Lead had been used for hundreds of years for various applications water pipes etc. Will be interested in having a look at the new weights. But maybe a better solution than lead?

Can anyone give me some advice please? Im looking at buying some nash scope 10ft rods. Im undecided between 3tc and 3.25 tc. I fish 2 lakes, one with 10-30lbs carp and one with 40lbs carp. Sometimes i pva bag. Dont want to be overgunned for the smaller ones and dont want to be undergunned for the big ones. Trying to find a happy medium. Cheers in advance 👍
@gerrardwilliams964 legend thank you Gerrard. Been doing my head in for ages. Currently got some 12ft 3lb soniks and to be fair they're not bad at all for the money but they're too long for the lakes I fish. Im not the type to want a million rods for each occasion so one type that can do it all is spot on. That nash r10 holdall looks amazing too. Everything in one case pretty much
Please can someone explain why they'd ban lead weights of that size ?? Lead isn't soluble , has been used as domestic water pipe for 200 years and can't be consumed by animals
@jimbob71 Because they are made of a harder material. You feel a lot more. Why they don't make them out of tungsten is beyond me. They would be smaller than a lead of the same weight. Cost, probably.
Dropping leads is out of control when there's absolutely no need & not as toxic as the chemicals being pumped into our rivers & lakes but we pick up the tab for the eco agenda 🎣
Stupid money. Think I'll wait until someone else starts making cheaper ones, like they do now with leads. Until then, I'll stick to my semi fixed set up to prevent dropping them into the lake. Unless I get a crack off that is.
First of all what’s in the leads if not lead cos it’s difficult to get the weight without lead plus why is it promoted to drop the lead when 99% of the time their no need not to mention the leads covering the bottom of lakes, don’t get me wrong I drop the lead but only when essential fishing for a bite on tricky weedy or snaggy lakes when a few bites a season is the norm
I think it is about time it happened tbh. The only reason Korda, Nash, Fox, (and sea weight manufacturers such as Breakaway and Gemini) and others haven't done it is purely profit and / or greed ! Lead is cheap as chips pr kilo to buy and manufacturer with.
You buy some lead then and make your own and see. When you’ve finished dipping your hand in your pocket for, moulds, clamps, cooker and gas ( you’ve probably already got those,) wire loops and swivels, coating powder, gloves 🧤…..then see whether you’d sell for 50p each. You might do if you like working for free !!!,
Chips are actually relatively expensive in my local fish and chip shops. More than £3 for a 'regular' portion and nearly £4 for 'large'. Maybe 3 or 4 potatoes per portion. When you look at the wholesale price of potatoes, many shops are making a decent profit on chips.
Im in favour but there extremely exspensive when i can pay 80p a lead. It would be ok if you didnt have to dump the lead in certain situations. But unfortunately you have to for the safety of the carp and to land it.
No need to dump a lead.... If ur ever in a fishing situation where u think u should dump a lead because its weedy etc just use small leads... It's all made out so the angler has to keep buying and buying and buying. Same as them 1 fish hooks... Absolutely pointless
@@Kingcarparpeggio what I'm not doing is be forced to charge silly prices for something as little as 3 once of lead because the big brands are dictating the price. This is nothing against Wickersley or any other shop just facts
@ReeceDunn-sq3fh : You didn’t explain where you’re buying 3 or 4 oz leads for 80p each…..not in any shop. You either make them yourself or you’re buying them from someone else that’s making them in their garage . I make my own and you can’t sell them for 80p and make any worthwhile money from that. Try and see…….you’ll soon get fed up with being someone else’s mug.
Be real, 2,1£ for one lead ( ore what ever it is ), that is a huge price tag!!! And then you go too a lake where you need to dump the lead ( lake rules ), I mean you could buy 3-4 leads for the price of that non-toxic one. Good thinking, but a really high price too pay.
Are you living in a dream world. Why don’t you get yourself some moulds and all the other stuff you’ll need ( you’ll work it out as you go) and see if you can sell them for 50p each. Complete dreamer !!
As much as I think these are overpriced you clearly have no idea of what it's cost to research new technology. have new equipment manufactured to produce a new product. Surprisingly they would like to get their money back and make a profit. Probably down the line somewhere someone will copy their product and bring it to the market for half the price.
@ I get that mate, but at the end of the day, it’s just a change of materials. It won’t change carp fishing per se, like the hair rig did…(for example).

Ok they're branded but locally lead weights are that sort of price in my area
My input is that its another excuse for more carp tax
It's a shame that everything marketed as better for the environment always has to be more expensive

I’ve been weighting for this for a long time
Can still get Stonze from Pallatrax! I had to buy some for a lake that had a lead free rule! It’s closed now I believe!
Go the beach buy a gd drill and some epoxy make your own
Yes Pallantrax, garbage products for a massive price.
Brilliant about time👍
Can only use steel shot near waterways in shooting so only follows fishing will be next
Not policed though, and lead shot are still fine to use everywhere else. It's not happening any time soon.
